Final Fantasy IX: Black Waltz No. 1 and Sealion [Hard Mode-No Shared Abilities/Gear-No Deaths]

This is borderline impossible at level 3. Still, what kind of trainer would I be if I didn't persevere? Black Waltz has a Silk Shirt and Remedy, which would be nice to acquire with Thief, but I didn't want to drag this fight on even longer. For some reason Black Waltz is weak to fire and ice, whilst Sealion is weak to fire. This sucks as Gaian Mankey's movepool has no fire or ice attacks, or abilities to damage their species. Let's break this league battle down.
Phase 1: Black Waltz with Snow Cloak
From what I've seen, Sealion's Powder Snow can roll high at 54, whilst Black Waltz's Ember (which Silk Shirt makes us weak to) can roll up to 39. This means I have to heal at 93 HP, making the fight incredibly slow. In between chugging so many Potion that even a Pokémart salesman would be embarrassed by, we have to skip Gaian Mankey's Mega Evolution which slows everything down even more, but it's inevitable with how much damage we're taking. After Gaian Mankey manages to pass an accuracy check, the trainer goes down. W-wait, shouldn't the battle be over? I guess Black Waltz didn't have enough badges to train Sealion.
Phase 2: Water Stone Sealion with Ice Beam
Another Mega Evolution to skip and another Sketchy James Moment TM to pass. We need to do 180~ damage to get Sealion into the next phase; 4 Scratch attacks. Once this threshold is passed, Sealion counters with Ice Beam, dealing 88~ damage. So we land 3 Scratches (crits can ruin us here) and wait, at full HP, for Pound. We then Scratch, eat Ice Beam, and hope for another Pound. If Sealion uses Powder Snow after Ice Beam, we'll white out. I could fish for a dodged Pound into Ice Beam, but more on that later.
Phase 3: Thunder Stone Sealion with Surf
This phase ends at around 135~ damage; 3 Scratches. Once this threshold is passed, Sealion will counter with Surf. Same as before, we land 2 Scratches and then chug Potions to stay at full HP for the next Sketchy James Moment TM. We now have to fish for a dodge on Pound, this is the only way to have enough HP to survive Surf and a following action. Surf deals 108~ damage (shoutouts to the game for giving us a water resistant helm for Gaian Sirfetch'd, but not for Gaian Mankey), easily putting us in Powder Snow's kill range, so we pray for another Pound.
Phase 4: Fire Stone Sealion is out of PP!
With all that nonsense taken care of, we just have to skip one more Mega Evolution and keep our HP over 54! Worst Nuzlocke ever!
