I’ve never had to change a snare drum wire before, prior to today (Snapped towards the end of my first set on Saturday night.) This video made things so quick & easy to sort - thank you so much! 👌🏻
Was tuning my joey jordison signature snare and was stuck... after seeing this vid I successfully applied my snare wires and got a poppy - slipknot sound - great vid!

It's wants to be there or thereabouts. This is obviously just a quick example, but I usually would adjust it to get it as close to centre as I could when the snare mechanism is on.
Hi Victor, That’s right. You need to leave more room on the snare mechanism side, so when you pull the lever to tighten the snare wires, there’s room for them to pull closer towards the rim.
Hi Mark, the wires should be closer to the butt side, and then when the snares are then 'turned on' with the throw-off, it should pull the wires to central.
@@skaterdude7277 Yeah, you can definitely go too far with it. Too loose or too tight. Experiment with the tension of both the wires and the drumhead. You'll eventually find the sweet spot of your snare.

@@drummersaom i messed with it and now it sounds like terrible, like wet cardboard or something, can it be too tight?
