Your attention to detail simplified is so appreciated. The way you break it down, then repeat in a slightly different way touches all the bases. Subscribing for sure. THANK YOU!

If you find any of this hard to play, I'd recommend honing your skills a little more. I've got a lesson on the whole piece on my website at www.drummersaom.com

Hello! 👀 Your videos are awesome, but the audience reach seems low. I’m a TH-cam SEO expert and can help you improve visibility with a free audit. Want to grow your channel? Let me know! 🚀
What kind of rots are you using to?
I believe I was using Pro Mark Hot Rods for this one.
hello, what kind of rope did u use, i tried to use yarn but when i tightened the snare wire it became loose
Your snare wires should come with some ties.

In this video I'm using a Meinl 20" Extra Dry Medium Ride. I actually sold it, so I don't use it anymore.

Hey I really like your videos, but I noticed they’re not getting the views they deserve. The problem might be with SEO-like video tags, keywords, or descriptions. I’m happy to offer you a free channel audit to show you exactly what’s missing. Let me know!

Great Video! You can do it that way, it's all correct dissecting of the drum part the way you (or whoever did the transcription) heard it. But maybe for some people, including for my tastes, it's a little too much talkin, and to little singing of the guitar riffs which the song is all about and the drum part is constructed around. And too little singin the guitar riffs while drumming along, explaining how the guitar riff and the drum part work together. Too analytical & detail focused imo. All them references to 'bar numbers' only! Why not refer to the git riffs (and sometimes the vox/lyrics) in that particular part of the song as well, it's so much more musical than just talking about abstract bar numbers only (which is all technically correct of course!). So many AC/DC songs are constructed around the guitar riff, with Phil alternating between playing a simple groove to the syncopated git riff, catching parts of the git riff while simultaneously keeping a backbeat and jus playing along the guitar riff with some cool simple pattern. It's much like that in Riff Raff, in Back in Black, in Black Ice, and countles other AC/DC songs. My guess would be that in rehearsal, Angus or Malcom would just bring in a new riff, play it to the other guys and had them play along and figure out something that went well with that riff. Then asking Bon (or Brian) if they had some lyric that might fit the riff (if the riff wasn't constructed with some lyric in mind in the first place), etc. So to me the first thing to learn is to be able to sing the git riffs, the drum along to them and figure out how the drum part is constructed with the git riffs. It's what I'd imagine Phil did in rehearsal when he would hear a new riff from Angus or Malcom. You could also write the rhythm of the git riffs (maybe even with chord symbols) in one line above the drum staff to actually visualize how things fit together. Would be more 'musical' imo! Anyway, thanks for the great Vid and keep hittin it!
Totally get what you're saying and agree. This lesson is for a Trinity College London Grade piece though, it's not the original. The grade exams are about learning to play and read, so the approach to playing this needs to be a little different. Thanks for the comment.
@@drummersaom Sure, that can be useful as well imo, and both approaches can be combined in different ways I'd say.
🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊
Damn
I’m having trouble with how fast to play that beat
No problem. Just take it slow. Play some grooves at slightly slower tempos, and build up the skill of playing fast and relaxed. It takes time, but you'll get there.
