    I'm using a fold 3 and love it. I get it's not for everyone but I personally couldn't go back to a slab/candy candybar style phone. Using apps like Amazon, disney+, prime video, Netflix, Google maps, Chrome, sports apps etc etc on a wider screen you can fold up n put into your pocket is game changing.... which reminds me the gaming is incredible. The fold literally made me a pokemon unite fan cuz the game is so clean on this phone.

    I'd say the TSMC SD 8 plus gen 1 SoC is the biggest upgrade in both phones. We're seeing over a 20% increase in SOT for the the Fold 4, which has the same size battery as last year's model. With the Flip 4 getting an extra 400mah and the new SoC, we're seeing over 30% for it. Both devices now have longer battery life than the S22 Ultra. Since battery life was the weakest aspect of both the Fold 3 and Flip 3, the new SoC is a welcome addition. TSMC chips are legit, much more dense than those made in Samsung's foundries.

    • @blahz7152

      @RADERTECH ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@blahz7152 Of course it's a Snapdragon, but that's not the point I was trying to make. These Snapdragon's are manufactured and put together at the TSMC plant in Taiwan, which is known for producing EXCELLENT quality chips - as opposed to Samsung's foundry, which is known for putting out "meh" chips in comparison. Sure they're both SD's, but the TSMC chip is WAY higher quality and more dense of a chip than any snapdragon chip that Samsung put's out itself. Hopefully they utilize TSMC as they're main foundry for chips for everything moving forward.

      They just fixed the Flip4's battery problem. It would be stupid if they added a larger outside display that would drain more battery in exchange. The same as the crease on Fold4. The crease is there because of of the Fold's IP rating. Sometime, what you want isn't what really need. No crease would be better, but the IP rating is more important. It's waaaaay too tall - looks comically bad closed and i can only imagine how bad it is to operate with one hand. If I were to go for foldable, it would be phone that becomes bigger if needed, not tablet that somewhat reduces its dimensions but still sux as phone. At that size, split screen with 3 windows is just laughter fuel. Give me the foldable with dimensions that oppo has and slimness of first Microsoft duo - then we are getting somewhere... maybe.

      It's actually not that bad. I have a Fold 3 and it got to a point where I was using the cover screen almost as much maybe even more than the main screen just because of how easy it is to actually use with one hand. I ended up damaging the main screen a couple months ago, so I've only been able to use the cover screen and while I'll admit it's not ideal, you'd be surprised how well you get used to it. Neural adaptation is a real thing. Also, the aspect ratio you end up with on the main screen is a lot better to me, instead of opening into landscape you open into portrait, which is how any other phone would be in that orientation.
