The whole thing, the dresses, the cake, the laughing during the vows, it’s like a children’s party.
Then the dancing like strippers, the tears as the wedding ends.
It’s their tradition, but it’s sad that the girls are not allowed any dreams or aspirations beyond getting married.

    • @heather_smallwood

It's exactly like a children's party. The laughing during the vows was ridiculous. I don't think they should have been married if they couldn't stop laughing. That's the serious part. And the stripper dancing, oh my gosh. Each girl trying to best the next one at a wedding. So classy. I guess that's how they stay fit?

@@H20-t3g Not true, I got married 6 months ago and I was looking deeply and lovingly into my man's eyes, as was he to me. We had to wait 6 years, 3 of which we could not see one another as we were in different countries. He was finslly able to come to the US from Canada and we were married and it was the best day of my life. Lots of smiles and giggles as my little nephew yawned loudly during our ceremony, but the vows were taken seriously. It was amazing. And we will be together forever. Our story is unique, but I won't get into all of that, I just know it's definitely deep and real love.

I know a young man personally who, at the age of 17, was already so huge---6'9", 370 pounds---that nobody would believe he wasn't an adult already.
But his mother was one of my closest friends, so I knew her son was just a huge boy, like his bio father.
By the time he reached 21, and a fully legal adult, he was even bigger, and I don't mean fat.
That young man, whom I haven't seen in several years (I've moved 800 miles away), is one of the kindest, sweetest men on Earth, and highly protective of his four sisters, his mother, and his wife, but he's no pansy, and he'd rip a person limb from limb for making fun of him, or saying anything negative about them. I kind of get the feeling this young man in the video is somewhat the same way----and YOU need to learn not to be so judgmental!

The thing we all need to consider is how much our environment, culture, supportive resources, financial circumstances, and health play into our ability to make good decisions. So many times, we judge from afar based on our own privilege and circumstances without considering that the person we're judging or counseling doesn't have the same options or supportive surroundings readily available for them. Most of us are doing the best we can with what we have to work with, and humans as a group need to keep that in mind and just be kind.

I'm Irish-American and I didn't want to go to Greece unmarried, so we went there for our honeymoon. We're together now it's three years married, gone through many hardships, but we both feel an obligation to God first and each other.
