It has been out for weeks now, since November 7th. Please don't say "can't wait!" because you literally don't have to wait. - You download it at the link in the description. There is a torrent option and a few direct downloads. The torrent doesn't complete thanks to the Internet Archive fucking up and not seeding a padding file or a thumbnail, but you'll get the entire game. If the ZIP extracts, you have the entire game. The torrent is still the fastest and best way to get Deluxe. - It works on a modded PS2 or PCSX2, seeing as it's a PS2 game and all. - Please read the website and the readme with your download. They explain everything.

Best engine of the series. It was all downhill once GH3 made spamming acceptable and overcharting became frequent because of this. No one will ever replace the accuracy and smoothness of the GH2 engine. Lo7, HellAshes, and k3v (and of course, IAmChris4Life) will always be the best to me.

Amazing mod, I tried to play with OPL, ISO on the flashdrive usb only, and everything worked fine on my fat PS2 without problems, only the videos don't run perfect but I can play normally. How i did: as the iso have 4 gigs I used a program called 'USBUtil 2.2' to split the iso into parts, these parts go to the root of the flashdrive, after that you can't just play, you need to defrag the flashdrive USB to work normally, I used 'auslogics disk defrag' when I finished with all the fragments, just put it on the PS2 and have fun.
@@mariteaux i understand but im just saying, here it works, its not slow and no bugs happened, it's up to the person if he wants to try or not, if they want to try, do it right, defrag the usb first.. its not mod's fault.
@@NoskYTB It might work for you, but I don't want to encourage USB usage because it's been a continual source of problems in our testing. Certain DX features (like speedups) don't work well on USB since they need to read data much faster than they can through the USB port. As you said, videos don't work. The fact that you need to post instructions on how to use USB is kinda proof that you shouldn't be using USB.
@@NoskYTB I play GH mods from USB, because I have a 80gb HDD in the ps2, I have limited space. I use the HDD for games that truly need fast loading times like racing games. Prerendered cinematics and intros always are cutting off running a game from usb due to the transfer rate, for GH games those cinematics are not really important. GH games run fine on usb, so I would recommend to run his kind of games from usb, as long as emulators and other small sized ps2 games. By the way, USB utils is not necessary anymore.
Nope. I will be releasing that disc in a few days. It'll be a 36 song campaign, all 34 DLC tracks and two extra GH1 tracks with bass and venue stuff. It's been done for ages, I just need to get some of the window dressing stuff done, which I've spent all day doing, in fact.

I don't think I really know what your question is, but those are ports from full-band games to take advantage of their drum charts. In the case of I Wanna Rock, it was also to use a more accurate sounding version of the song without an abrupt ending.

Yes. Burned discs require a modded PS2 and an ESR patch. You could technically use FreeDVDBoot if your PS2 supports that, but Deluxe 2.0 is such a gigantic game that I think we have a grand total of 20MB of space left in the ISO, and I don't know how much space the exploit takes up.

People are dumb. This is a mod to Guitar Hero II, which came out 15 years ago. The description has always said "out now" and this is a launch trailer (as in, released for the launch of the game). You have been able to download the mod since the video came out.
In the GH2 demos it turns out that there are unused textures of a very, very raw version of the drums, and I think there was some code about it, so they must have used that.
@@zeg132 No drum code exists in any build we have, but the drum gems were ported from OPM, yes. ihatecompvir set up MIDI parsing script for reading from a PART DRUM track in the MIDI as well as channel mappings for the stereo drum stems. The only thing that was HMX's was the gems, the code was all custom for DX.

Our thought now is OPM post-dates one of the last builds of GH2 to include drums before that codebase was forked for the first Rock Band.
Specifically, all extant builds of GH2 contain both “gh2_version.dtb” which I think is the actual build date, and a “band_version.dta” which contains only the string “Build: 060302_A” which I believe means that a build they compiled on March 2, 2006 has what little bit of actual drum support they ever coded, which likely used Konami/Topway drums from what is present in the OPM demo

We don't support USB play. It's buggy and slow and causes problems that people act like are our mod's fault. Please don't encourage people to use USB.

You probably have the full ISO, the Internet Archive isn't seeding out the padding file or a thumbnail. Go check in your client.
