It's so clear that Colleen firmly believes that her actions aren't that big of a deal, and that she isn't willing to actually take accountability for her actions. I read the messages between her and her fans, and was already utterly disgusted. And then after seeing what the girl who was on stage with Colleen had to say about her experience, it just made me feel worse and extremely sympathetic towards everyone that has been affected by her actions. I really hope that Colleen learns from this, and actually takes accountability for the several people she's made feel uncomfortable or used in the past, but with this "apology", I highly doubt that will happen.

I really think that she lacks empathy.
There are some things that I am very protective of. Children and animals are two of those things, and it makes sense as both are smaller and more fragile than us, and rely on us, at least, in some capacity, to take care of and protect them.
Colleen treated her young fans as her friends, asked them sexual questions, used them to do work without pay, used them in comedy bits and let them be vulnerable and uncomfortable…….. and she sees nothing wrong with this. She also let them put her dog down as a child, knowing damn good, and well that the dog only bit her because she had pinched him, causing him pain.
I really don’t think that she sees any of what she did as wrong, and she’s 36 right now. There’s a chance that she might still grow, but I really don’t think that she should be allowed near children anymore. Even if she does change at some point, I still don’t trust her.

I also think what pisses me off about “well I just made a fart joke” and the argument that even if it wasn’t gratification for Colleen- OP mentions how they felt vulnerable to other adults. That other adult men were now a threat and eyeing a minor because of COLLEEN’S “fart joke.” Even if it wasn’t intended to be sexual, if it wasn’t meant to exploit her in that way [as Colleen brings up intentions] you still make content for groomers and p**os to see these minors as viable options and more likely to interact with them in dangerous ways. That’s why intentions don’t matter, because you still inherently put children at risk for adult who seek that relationship

    Love your channel, Jimmy!! :))
tl;dr: my thoughts on apology videos and Colleen's approach
Kwite's video went so well bc the staggering evidence he provided that not only discredited his accuser entirely but also presented a solid case how he was really the victim in that situation, so I appreciate you calling it a "response" rather than an "apology video" as i've seen some do bc he wasn't apologizing nor needed to.
Colleen is in a much different situation than Kwite or Sienna. Her actions albeit wrong and creepy aren't the level of the heinous crime Sienna committed and Kwite was clearing his name versus apologizing. So she doesn't have evidence to refute claims, because they're true, so there's no "Kwite route" to take here. But she could have still helped her reputation versus approach this with the "I did nothing wrong here's my interpretive dance" route.
Her backward mentality of putting so much stake in intentions is worthless. Just because you didn't mean to hit someone's car doesn't mean you aren't liable for the damage your actions caused. Likewise, she didn't "kill the driver" (to continue with this metaphor) like Sienna which is, rightly so, impossible to bounce back from. Colleen's reputation/life wouldn't have been totally ruined albeit will likely never be the same. She had an inappropriate relationship with underage fans. There's evidence for that. The question for her shouldn't be "how do I vindicate myself" rather "how do I apologize for all of the hurt my actions caused".
An actual apology includes not only taking accountability (i.e. "I did this"), but also acknowledging the hurt those actions caused (i.e. "when I did this, it caused this/hurt you in this way") and she never did that, rather provided weak excuses about her intentions that frankly dont matter. Her song is a huge nothing burger. She didn't show remorse nor convey how she planned on doing better in the future. She didn't make any plans for how she would seek help to improve nor be held accountable/face any sort of consequences. So, like many "TH-cam apologies" that came before her's, this it's not an apology at all.
Colleen is being manipulative, so it's no wonder fans are pissed off and leaving. Her content centers around entertainment, so it's impossible to look beyond her character when considering supporting her channel.
Personally, I think she needs to take a lot of time off of social media. Kwite took time to be level-headed as he systematically discredited the accusations against him and while Colleen can't do that she can still take that approach and actually apologize for all the things she did systematically and acknowledge the hurt her actions caused and why they were wrong (and not try to excuse herself).
Im not saying this will entirely save her reputation or even remotely save her career, or that it should, but this will help not only her fans (especially the ones she hurt directly) but also herself get closure and allow her to move on with her life even if it's outside TH-cam.

I didn't think at this point there could ever be a new "worst apology video ever" since I thought people would have learned from past ones and now do concise apologies clarifying things with tact and respect. I was clearly wrong.

Exactly! Even adults need help from time and therapist to realize that some shit that they were in a toxic or abusive relationship or that something that happened to them was non-consensual. Kids are even less aware of this stuff...I mean when you're a teenager an older person wanting to be your friend or even talking to you about sex and paying attention to you in that way seems flattering. because when your'e a teenager you already feel like you're all grown up and that person is affirming that by their actions. It's not until people grow up to be adults themselves and look back that they tend to realize that they were NOT in fact audlts and grown up. and that it was inappropriate. and then there is this feeling of shame and embarassment so people tend to want to put in it a box and move on. Also Colleen calls her actions 'mistakes'. Like idk what planet she lives on but I know that it would NEVER even cross my mind to SEND UNDERWEAR TO A 13 YEAR OLD KID. I had some contact and some teenagers comment under my stories when I was in my 20s and I NEVER asked anyone in the fandom or in the forums I was for my fandoms what sex positons were their favourite or when they got their first periods. I wouldn't ask that of ADULTS bc that's just not a question you ASK complete strangers. Much less KIDS.

Hello there, I am an autistic person with a special interest in understanding why people do the things that they do in regards to psychology and sociology, specifically personal growth and empathy. Something that a lot of people don't realize is we often live in a state of mind where we are convinced that our actions, if we have to face them as being bad, makes us a bad person. Colleen seems really internally stuck on the idea that criticism makes you a bad person, and it's almost jarring how on the nose she's being about her feelings here. She needs to get herself a good therapist and examine these feelings that she's having because it's an extremely common experience, it's why conservatives dig their heels into the ground all the time and don't want to change their mind. Those of us who have open minds and try to keep an open perspective have the ability to usually tell that just because we do something wrong that doesn't dictate who we are as a person. It doesn't make us inherently bad, and we always have the opportunity to make better decisions and be better people. It's kind of painful to watch her reputation go down like this specifically because it's such an avoidable issue, but it takes a lot of soul searching and introspection to be able to acknowledge something like that. I hope for the sake of her fans that she does the work and can actually learn how to better handle the situation as to really fully take accountability.
Also like, she's borderline delusional. It's obvious that she's not in a good state of mind to be an influencer. Her harm is real.

7:45 she most certainly knew that she shouldn't "sing" her apology either, she's just trying so seem whimsical and quirky here. Like later when she seems to get lost in her emotions only to abruptly stop singing and “suddenly” realizing “Oh! that's right, I'm recording and got TOO real there! Ooopsie!"
Literally, everything here is a performance... Her little skit here is bad on purpose, but for what reason? The real question is if she did it so seem like a non-threatening quirky lil summer child, or if she did it to *present* herself as the quirky unaware girl BECAUSE she wants it to come off that she's delusional, but "just doesn't realize it" kinda motive? That's the most extreme route so probably not that but then what IS her motive? What is she trying to accomplish here?? I dunno, but I *do* know she’s screwed.

One of the things shes being accused of, grooming, is not done unintentionally. IF TRUE (and thats the if) lacking intention is absolutely a defense to that particular allegation (and only that allegation). Its a long and planned process that doesnt happen overnight. The recipts do back it up as grooming though, so who tf knows what her intentions were?

I remember when Miranda Sings came out. I started some music writing. I thought she was quiet sick. The way she used kids (fans) as "human props" was questionable. If this were me being acused and I was "feeling" about this impact, I would have an attorney sitting beside me in a video. I'd also be kind enough to say "I can understand how this might feel or look to you, however, this is not what I was trying to convey." As I have a concious. This song shows that Miranda (coleen) doesn't care and is saying "I know that I did these nasty things, but, deal with it! I am." It just shows how much sicker she is and how ablelism can destroy a community.

Someone who isnt a narcissist can do natcissistic things
Someone who isnt a pedo can do pedophilic things
Someone who isnt a bad person can do bad things.
But when you get stubborn and foolish like Colleen is, the line really starts to blur. If you truly arent bad, a narc, or a pedo, why cant you identify those things? Why arent you giving those actions a second thought? That starts to go in the direction of either advanced stupidity or maliciosuness and given that Colleen is a meangirl, the latter sounds right. She likes to bully and humiliate people, but shes dumb so she could only pick on kids and attract kids as her audience.

But geez…I’m her age and I feel like she’s trying to still be a character with her only thing to say ‘oh everyone is such a meanie to me I’m so sad’. I’ve seen very few apology videos where they are genuine, a ton where they clearly are not, but this one is just insulting.
