To try and answer your question about why Howler took out such a large loan, I believe the reason he took out so much money as a loan is because, even though he’s a rich CEO, if he used any of the money his company is worth, then that money is taxable. But loan money is non-taxable, so I believe Howler was using the same tactic rich people like Bezos and Musk use, wherein they take out a loan from a bank, then pay it off with a loan from a different bank, and they do that over and over until they die.
I think it's also known as the "buy, borrow, die" approach. Like you said, you buy assets, you borrow a loan worth those assets to keep it tax free, and you keep doing it until you die. Bonus if you have heirs that will inherit your assets and repeat the cycle.
11:40 I strongly believe that, in his hubris, Howler just said "Hey I've got the infinite money glitch, I bet I could take a stupid huge loan like 38 godzillion dollars or something like that and it'll still somehow come back to me thanks to the Lava Rock! I'll double my money and keep everything I've got" only for it to blow up in his face. Either that or good ol' sleazy CEO tax evasion tactics.

@ I wasn’t trying to insinuate a prediction with this comment but you could definitely make an presumption that Araki might make plans for a backstory soon whether a Flashback for a character or further exploration in regards to Howler and his plans remains to be seen for now. But you’re absolutely right that Paco has a lot more to him at this point. Also what happened to charming man I forgot?
I commented something similar to some guys who said part 9 is the slowest part but I cant remember where. It's just, its the first time for many to experience a releasing JoJo part.
Right as you asked the question of what exactly glory days was, I noticed the in panel shown at 5:01 that the silencer doesn't have a reflection while the rest of the gun does. While it could be a mistake, I'd have have a hard time believing that since the gun is kinda one of the main details of the scene and it doesn't seem that easy to overlook to me. So I think the silencer is the stand and the lack of reflection is an intentionally clue for readers. That paired with us getting to see him attach the silencer in detail in chapter 17 -Us already having seen a "gun stand" in part 3, and "bullets stand(s)" in part 5, making "silencer stand" in part 9 kind of a logical variation. -Bobby makes effort to hide the gun and never unmanifest it, (If the silencer is the stand unmanifesting it is completely useless) -The bullets have been shown to be completely tangible as they were removed from Paco by the doctors. -The silencer seems to work like a movie silencer, and while the gang did notice the sound, only Paco (who we saw has former military experience) recognized the sound as "gunshots" then as a "gun with a silencer" in Jojolands 17. It's possible that it completely conceals the sound of the bullets from non-stand users but it could just be standard movie silencer logic. Ability: Silencer that conceals sound, flash and allows the user delay/slow bullets for delayed close range assassination or to prepare walls of bullets to fire in multiple directions.
@@gabrielgoes0 I agree, it's a great stand for an assassin set up the kill and leave the scene but there's not that much potential there writing wise. Since we already knew who he was maybe if Bobby Jean was on Defense rather than offense and the gang had to actively chase him, avoiding traps and openings while trying to outsmart him or something
Maybe it’s cuz I’ve been through a death in my family recently. But I was super sad when Bobby Jean died. Even though he was a terrible murderer. Idk. Maybe it’s cuz he died so fast and nonchalantly. Like just moments ago he was strategically figuring out how November Rain worked, then in the next moment dead.
It's been a while since I was moved by the death of a tertiary villain in Jojo's, but poor Bobby Jean was the father of three children, he didn't necessarily need to die he just had to be you know "retired".
I thought that aswell, but upon realizing that he literally a chapter ago killed innocent bystanders in the process of chasing Jodio, made me a lot less sympathetic.
Theory off the top of my head I'm not sure if Bobby Jean's kids know about his profession but since Breaking Bad seems to be an influence, I'm imagining one of Bobby Jean's kids going out for revenge. Maybe there name being Billie Jean after the Michael Jackson song. (Yes, there are holes like Billie Jean already being used in the English dub and we don't even know how old Bobby Jean's kids are, but it felt like something I wanted to comment.)
The cover of the new Jojo magazine + Araki saying that La Squadra pointing down while the part 9 team was pointing up is intentional just solidified my theory that the Part 9 crew are basically La Squadra (autism edition)
5:34- this confirms she’s not like Poor Tom and not secretly an aging hag disguised as a child and more like Mannish Boy- a sociopathic child that will suffer humiliation to curb their tendencies
I think ability of Glory Days is actually Bullet Shot Control. Before the battle, Bobby could have pulled the trigger at least a hundred times, and now every time he points his gun at a target, bullets literally spawn from air in that place. All six bullets just appear out of nowhere and hit their target suddenly, in exchange for the fact that at that moment the sound of a shot is also played
Two things this Bobby vs Jodio fight have taught me is 1. I am a little worried about fights in this Part as it seems Jodio is the only one who can do much, and I also worry that his stand might make fights a little repetitive. I’m hoping to see the other characters do some work and not always rely on Jodio for the win. 2. Bobby got done dirty man what a shame, I thought he was cool and I would like to know more about his stand. Oh well.
@ I will admit the Charming fight was really good, and Paco has been contributing so far. I just hope the fights don’t become formulaic where Jodio does most of the lifting. This fight had most of the gang out of commission and I would love the next fight to incorporate more of the team, especially Dragona and Usagi as they haven’t done much so far. Would also love to see Charming Man fight again because the vanishing act he was doing was pretty sick.
Charming man and paco will get action but the rest two have supporting stands especially Usagi. Maybe dragona will use her stand similar to how Bobby Jean's kid used it on the gang
@ Support stands can still take place in a fight, and the characters can still be involved instead of on the side lines. The Man in the Mirror fight is a good example of this, as Abbacchio was very important for that fight.
I agree, mostly I'd hate to see Dragona just become the healer character that does nothing else, and see her stand used more in smart ways like it was done in the earlier chapters
I already really hoped Lulu would come back later to avenge Bobby, but the idea that Glory Days is bound to the gun and that she could potentially return using both stands at once by herself could be so cool.
I already love and see the parallels to part 5's plot. the gang involved with some sort of evil organization that they have to take down for their benefit. Instead of the mystery of the Big Bad's identity being a mystery, it's the Lava Rock and what exactly it is, but Howler knows this secret. The parallels, although not exact, are really cool to see!
So Araki shared his thoughts on the conartistry of AI art being a perfect copy of manga works, yet we just so happen to have a teammate who can use his stand to make "perfect fakes" and can alter images and footage. Usagi aint looking too good and may be set up as a villain.
I'm putting my nuts on the table, Bobby Jean is still alive! He's hol horse with an avdol ponytail with a fusion of mista's and sale's stands as a stand, four notorious seemingly-fatal shot to the head survivors. yes it was a november rain drop shot thru the head, but maybe bag's groove can heal? hell, araki could find a way to make it make sense.
This might be a crazy theory, but what if November Rain has a similar sort of power as the lava rock? Perhaps it controls the gravity of the droplets. Gravity, like these "systems" that the lava rock controls, albeit more literal and tangible, is a law that we must all abide, a "system" of control.
Bobby’s stand might be invisible, same as tubular bells from part 7, being just something the user can do without taking a physical form. One of my friends said Lulu’s stand is just weaponized Cooties and it’s just too hilarious to think of it that way lol
… November Rain ability seems like a variation on echoes act 3, like the rain can apply a 3 freeze to itself acting like normal water but then multiplying its weight to deal damage, though that might just be the “heavy rain” like taking the Rains and making them literal like Freezing rains, frontal or “cyclonic so it’s possible Jodia can throw a fricking tornado
i think a way to explain the 38 billion debt could be that it is also a generational loan, as in, the bank and the government of the us join to fund a growing tourism industry by investing in a local important family/company to oversee in some manner the growth of the area. maybe it simply was never paid off because the howlers thought it would never come to bite them back as their relationship with both the bank and the gov were mutualistic, or they really never had the extra money to do so, and the debt just kept bulging
The lava rock's abilities are kind ofike the opposite of Wonder of U's Calamity where instead of bad luck taken to the extreme by manipulating the surroundings to deter or even kill pursuers, The lava rock is good luck taken to the extreme that it doesnt just manipulate any monetary things to come to it, it also maniulates the deeper parts of businesses to get what it wants.
seems like jodio stands mainly just relies on gravity so far he doesnt seem to be able to shoot the raindrop horizontally like bullets, like what if that specific raindrop wasnt right above bobbys head. I would love to see more of how jodio stand can be used in the future aside from just straight down raindrops, something like november rain spinning around and spraying out raindrops on all directions would be cool
Overall I feel like Glory days is a C type stand....not because like it's good and all and it's a normal gun but it can shoot bullets and set traps and make them disappear so the other person can't see them so in assassination type. It could do very well. 1 on 1.....meh it did hold its own kinda Bags groove is a C+ stand sense its an automatic and you it already works on its own. And it can take out there target will a disease type like one for the person heart or any organ basically in the body
I feel like Mista, Hol Horse and Johngalli A. could all wreck Bobby in a firefight. He doesn’t have the level of bullet control any of them do or the range capability Johngalli or Mista have, since Mista can get a lot more out of his pistol because of how much extra momentum the Pistols can give it for raw distance and for firing from several angles behind cover.
I can only assume that the loan itself was apart of the rocks "flow" 38 billion is a massive ammount for a loan, even for a company. so its likely that this loan became avaliable to him when he was in the process of aquireing another large bit of wealth, such as some valuble land or another company that he was going to buy out. and either this acquisition would have made enough to pay it off, or the lava rock was still in the middle of its "flow" when it was stolen, and it would have done something to erase the debt
Feels like the monthly schedule keeps us attached to even the minor antagonists much more. A lot of people felt the fight was short but I think that's because we like Bobby and want to see more of him.
I'll be honest, I'm super glad we're out of the Bag's Groove and Glory Days Arc. I felt like it was just dragging on a bit too long. It's true what they said: the main villain of Part 9 is the monthly release schedule.
My prediction: Meryl Mei already knows this banker, and this plan was going to include him from the beginning. They wont even need to force him because he was part of the reason she thought this plan would work
The "Why did Howler take the Loan?" issue can be explained really easily. It's a loophole is the system to avoid Taxes. The government can't tax loan money. But yeah 38 Billion from a single bank is I guess too much
Personally i don’t think lulu’s stand isn’t an automatic stand since in one chapter her nose started bleeding when one of her stand was destroyed. So im guessing her stand is a colony type like shigeichi.
Recently saw the fountain boy art Araki did and then learned that the stands on the art are ordered by their strength according to Araki! Can you please make a video on why November Rain is on top and what makes it more powerful than any of the other stands depicted….curious if November rain has more to come that’ll justify its place on top because at the moment it seems strange to me.
As a fan of Hol Horse stand in Part 3, i would have loved to know more about Bobby Jean and how it really worked because it was really a new type of gun stand we havent seen but i guess he was just like those stands in Stardust Crusaders that shows up in a short time and that's we seen. It kinda shocked how he died because i thought he would have been smart enough to see the ceiling filled the droplets but that was really quick. Oh well, at least the hospital arc is finished, thank god for that lol!! i feel this arc been all about the hospital, which is scary to think when you realize Araki probably wrote this arc during Covid and where Hospitals were the scariest place in the world. Overall, very good chapter and Jodio was really giving Jotaro vibes in this chapter. Very focused, rational, which is interesting because Jodio didnt started like that. Its almost like seeing Jotaro evolve through out Stardust Crusaders from a rough delinquent but he became more noble, focused and committed to the journey in Egypt because of his mom.
I'm still unsure where to rank Bags Groove. On the one hand, it was never defeated (we may see some more of it in future issues); it's an automatic Stand with apparently huge range, it can be attached to objects like a trap, and there's no obvious way to trace it back to its owner. Its effect is eventually lethal with no obvious way to reverse the damage other than having a Stand that is both able to shrink down or go inside a body and that also has the power to fight Bags Groove's multi-bodies. On the other hand, it takes a *long* time to kill you if you can perform a field tracheostomy, and it's not actively working to undermine you or changing strategy depending on what you're doing, like, say, Yo-Yo Ma, it's following a predictable automated sequence.
Remember when people through November Rain was a lame stand.... It can Make raindrops so heavy it can pressed grown Man to the ground Shield him from any on coming attacks like bullets And a bit foreshadowed from Dragona bully Pierce human skin (Which I think is more dangerous). Good stand Akari
This is most likely wishful thinking or cope but I honestly think Bobby Jean has a possibility to be alive. The reason I think of such is due to being taken out is exactly like Magenta Magenta which he survived his injuries, not to mention Bobby Jean is also still inside the hospital having the chance to be treated.
i will say, the confirmation that a SINGLE DROP from november rain can instantly kill someone makes jodio's encounters with the cops, the cats and charmingman a lot more interesting... despite being a "psychopath" who apparently feels no remorse, jodio has been EXTREMELY MERCIFUL this entire part u could argue that with the cops it was just pragmatism, since dead cops would attract a lot more attention than just injured cops, but i see it as further proof of jodio's humanity. genuinely do think that he's a good kid that's just been let down by society, and if araki fully commits to that he might end up being one of my favorite jojo's
Its definitely a stand but it's either a bound stand like rohans gucci bag or it's just something that Bobby Jean can do and it doesn't have a physical manifestation similar to tubular bells
I would assume he learned about them while still in Japan somehow. If you remember he brought the diamond with him from Japan to help find the lava rocks.
I love Araki and his work no end, but he's never been the best at answering every question he sets up. Theres a very real chance he'll simply never answer why Howler wasn't using his own lava rocks or why he took a loan out
Am I the only one who felt this fight was pretty short? Like I was very surprised by how abruptly it ended, it's what makes me think maybe by some weird bs Bobby will live
This arc was pretty long actually. Most arcs for monthly jojo are 4-5 chapters but this one was 7, starting in chapter 14. Although we weren't fighting the whole time so yeah the actual confrontation was short.
The way I understand it, Jodios rains is essentially like bullets too, flying vertically, but having a significant kinetic energy to them. Also, yes, water is significantly more dense than air, so it can affect bullets depending on circumstances.

38 billion is a massive ammount for a loan, even for a company. so its likely that this loan became avaliable to him when he was in the process of aquireing another large bit of wealth, such as some valuble land or another company that he was going to buy out. and either this acquisition would have made enough to pay it off, or the lava rock was still in the middle of its "flow" when it was stolen, and it would have done something to erase the debt
Feels like the monthly schedule keeps us attached to even the minor antagonists much more. A lot of people felt the fight was short but I think that's because we like Bobby and want to see more of him.
Will you release a "Every stand in jojolion" as you have done for the other parts?
I'll be honest, I'm super glad we're out of the Bag's Groove and Glory Days Arc.
I felt like it was just dragging on a bit too long.
It's true what they said: the main villain of Part 9 is the monthly release schedule.
My prediction: Meryl Mei already knows this banker, and this plan was going to include him from the beginning. They wont even need to force him because he was part of the reason she thought this plan would work
unloads in the bathroom stalls??? 2:32
I see now the mistake in my choice if words lol
Glow day could be the gun, the silence and the bullets as one
Jorge Joestar is Peak Fiction!
Xforts is always ready! Your jojo content is awesome 😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉
you should do an all stands from the novel purple haze feedback!
November Rain evolve into the General. Then reset after damage that they done with Lava Rock.
Another amazing jojo chapter and here comes another amazing Review 😊😊😊
jodio is a menace in this chapter
Its almost like seeing Jotaro evolve through out Stardust Crusaders from a rough delinquent but he became more noble, focused and committed to the journey in Egypt because of his mom.
would be wild if Acca's stand is [Alice in Chains] specifically based on the Dirt album. His stands brief appearance reminds me of the album art.
This definitely has to be a Queens of the stone age, villains album
Ayo, a video on time?!
get ready, part 9 torture dance incoming
Turning point of the story for sure I wonder if howler is solidified as the final villain at this point?
Rip Glory Days🐐😭
Here from getting to the climax from JoJo Golden Wind
I'm still unsure where to rank Bags Groove. On the one hand, it was never defeated (we may see some more of it in future issues); it's an automatic Stand with apparently huge range, it can be attached to objects like a trap, and there's no obvious way to trace it back to its owner. Its effect is eventually lethal with no obvious way to reverse the damage other than having a Stand that is both able to shrink down or go inside a body and that also has the power to fight Bags Groove's multi-bodies. On the other hand, it takes a *long* time to kill you if you can perform a field tracheostomy, and it's not actively working to undermine you or changing strategy depending on what you're doing, like, say, Yo-Yo Ma, it's following a predictable automated sequence.
it looks weaker than the Lovers. thats where I would rank it.
Missed the last 3 chapters and watching this makes me think I didn't miss anything
Remember when people through November Rain was a lame stand....
It can
Make raindrops so heavy it can pressed grown Man to the ground
Shield him from any on coming attacks like bullets
And a bit foreshadowed from Dragona bully Pierce human skin (Which I think is more dangerous).
Good stand Akari
Realistically Speaking, Generation Wealth Only Last for 3 Generations
To think that we're probably nearly a 5th way through
This is most likely wishful thinking or cope but I honestly think Bobby Jean has a possibility to be alive. The reason I think of such is due to being taken out is exactly like Magenta Magenta which he survived his injuries, not to mention Bobby Jean is also still inside the hospital having the chance to be treated.
i will say, the confirmation that a SINGLE DROP from november rain can instantly kill someone makes jodio's encounters with the cops, the cats and charmingman a lot more interesting... despite being a "psychopath" who apparently feels no remorse, jodio has been EXTREMELY MERCIFUL this entire part
u could argue that with the cops it was just pragmatism, since dead cops would attract a lot more attention than just injured cops, but i see it as further proof of jodio's humanity. genuinely do think that he's a good kid that's just been let down by society, and if araki fully commits to that he might end up being one of my favorite jojo's
Glory days, i assume, it has to be a power rather than a stand. It feels like the way it works feels similar to a superpower. I dunno i may be stupid.
Its definitely a stand but it's either a bound stand like rohans gucci bag or it's just something that Bobby Jean can do and it doesn't have a physical manifestation similar to tubular bells
Here from patreon❤
Will we get a all stands in part 8 video
what's the song name in intro?
Still waiting to find out how Rohan knew about the lava rocks??? Did he know Howler some how, or another reason??
I would assume he learned about them while still in Japan somehow. If you remember he brought the diamond with him from Japan to help find the lava rocks.
Right on the nail with part 3 Jotaro and Part 1 Dio
I love Araki and his work no end, but he's never been the best at answering every question he sets up. Theres a very real chance he'll simply never answer why Howler wasn't using his own lava rocks or why he took a loan out
In Chapter 17 Howler mentioned he experienced the lava rock's flow when he was a child so I hope we get a flashback of him that explains more.
Jodio is so brutal, man...
Sooo Jodio can manipulate the density of rain?!
If its a bound stand and they wind up keep glory days, I'm counting it as yet another villain recruitment, idc 😤
Who do u think howler is supposed to be a revamp of I do think howler is a revamp of diovolo or puuci one of those 2
could be no one. Not everything is a revamp of something from parts 1-6
@ it’s seem like a trend araki is doing though like funny valentine is revamp of kars
@@WeebGuru6This is false.
@@ScLuigi funny valentine is Revamp of kars also toru
@@WeebGuru6 Elaborate.
I loved this chapter so much but i’m so ready to move on to another arc outside the hospital
Lulu is still alive and this fight gives me part 5 train fight so lulu could still fight after finding more resolve 😬
She is probably gonna be the jojochild of the part and possibly betray them at some point
I doubt Howler will be the final villain, they are revealed on average around chapter 40. My bet is on flashback man
Am I the only one who felt this fight was pretty short? Like I was very surprised by how abruptly it ended, it's what makes me think maybe by some weird bs Bobby will live
Either that or it was to show Jodio doesn't give a fuck to kill anyone in his way
This arc was pretty long actually. Most arcs for monthly jojo are 4-5 chapters but this one was 7, starting in chapter 14. Although we weren't fighting the whole time so yeah the actual confrontation was short.
6 minutes new record for me
Are you well now, bro?
Yes
Obviously
Sad day for Bobby Jean fans, though this was a banger chapter.
Why is it called? jojoland Does he like Owned the Land or something?
Why is jojolion called jojolion? Does he owned a lion or something?
True, but at the same time true.
im sorry WATER deflects bullets
It's not ordinary water, it's gravity water
It’s not gravity water, it’s time water
secretly controlled by the spin too
The way I understand it, Jodios rains is essentially like bullets too, flying vertically, but having a significant kinetic energy to them. Also, yes, water is significantly more dense than air, so it can affect bullets depending on circumstances.
This water drop punctures skull and flesh
Ogga bogga hmmmmm perfect now make pink dark boy official
Could Lulu become another enemy turned ally? A new female Jojo Bro?
