I have another take on Rohan talking about mechanisms. It's possible that Jodio has this passionate vision of mechanisms in nature since he was a little kid as a way to explain nature itself. When JoJo saved Dragona, only his name was revealed to Rohan, but he was able to tell Jodio's full name and age. My theory is that when Rohan read Dragona's information, he caught a glimpse of their relation and used the mechanism thing as "counter leverage". Maybe JoJo could've spoken about the mechanisms sometime in the past and Dragona kept it in mind ever since trying to understand what Jodio meant as a display of care, empathy and/or curiosity.
i think that jodios big confusing main jojo endgame power might be the ability to warp space time with his rain drops like einsteins theory of relativity using his heavy raindrops to bend space time

8:20 if rohan is araki's self-insert and jodio is our's...this line is him talking to us. its inspiring...but also i feel a foreboding sense for what jodio (and us as readers) are gonna go through this story.
@@gagejoestv2714 Karera was a character in Jojolion who showed up for one arc, said maybe they'll meet again, then just didn't show up for the rest of the part.
I realized that Rohan being here at the beginning of the story is yet another callback to part 5, as that part had a different part 4 character interact with and attack our main jojo. People might of made this connection months ago, but something I just realized now.
I feel like the law of nature from the rock is either good luck, or in the case of a universal constant, maybe it's the law of attraction. It starts attracting that which the holder desires most, in the case of Jodio, valuables!
Maybe the mechanism is attracting what you want, you "you" consider valuable. Jodio starts wanting wealth but maybe there will be a change of heart along the way
Is it perhaps the law of desire? The mechanism that exists within ‘nature’ itself, as all natural things have a form of desire in some sense, especially seen in JoJo. Even animals can be seen having desires to grow, or to fight, or something else, like when Stray Cat was capable of choosing who he liked, similar to Kira he seemed to want to live a peaceful life, that’s a desire. To Rohan, the Rock is a value of study, therefore it showing it’s mechanism by bringing an object of monetary value, despite Rohan not caring about money, would make sense considering it would be quite easy for Rohan to figure out using that.
I personally think the lava rocks attract things that help in our society, since money is what we use for everything in the world the lava rock attracts things that help you gain money.
i can tell 100% araki went to hawaii before writing this part, a lot of the details he included are way too specific for someone who has never been there before. in particular, the inclusion of stuff like kona airport and highways along the lavafields indicate that he really did take a pretty extensive tour
I wonder if the rock's mechanism is the idea of "ownership." That's something abstract enough to warrant a 'mechanism' but is also concrete enough to convey that money is the best way to go about using and empowering it.
Jodios stand is interesting to me because it isn't humanoid. Every other jojo had a humanoid stand, with Tusk act 4 becoming humanoid and joseph/Johnathan not being mcs of part 3. If this is a part 5 parallel, the lava rock might act like the Requiem arrow to evolve a stand. The natural force provided by the rock could be desire. Jodio is a sociopath pretty much, and so it may be that he only desires money and wealth, so the rock attracts the holder's desire. I initially thought that they couldn't take the diamond/money from Rohan due to him writing "You cannot steal from Rohan Kishibe" with Heavens Door, and him letting them go released the stealing aspect. Part 5 was to originally have a betrayal, so Araki might go through with it this time. All the stands seem really weak strength wise, so relying on each other and enguinuity will probably be major themes, as we saw last chapter
I liked the theory that said that the lava rocks prevent you from having your possession taken away from you and that the way to exploit them to become rich is basically an infinite money glitch. Spend money and they eventually come back to you.
Problem with that theroy is he acknowledged Rohan from the pool as reading as a mangka he reads the work of Jodio is a confirmed pychopath he absolutely would threaten someone he respects to protect someone he cares i.e Danga at least to me also it all being sincere adds a degre malice to it because that was Jodie to someone he respected imagine what he dose to people he hates
this is definitely on the natural laws of luck which is associated a lot with wealth (lottery, slot machines, gambling, etc). Would be cool if luck is gonna be the main driving force that makes the events happen in this part
A reason why Jodio rained on the carpet to immobilize Rohan instead of pinning him like the cops could be for the same reason he didn’t want his friends to hurt Rohan. Jodio respects Rohan so doesn’t want to hurt the guy. It could also be so they could question Rohan as the other way could knock the guy unconscious.
If he can make things wet with his rain and make them heavy. Then he should fight with those water missile things that soak up water and you hit people with
Loved this chapter overall. This felt like Araki's love letter to his foreign fans. He's like "I know you're out there, foreign fans. I appreciate you all." when Jodio gave that speech which touched Rohan. Even if Jodio's the type who'd pirate his manga.
Hell yeah man this was the best chapter so far! We finally got a bit more info and I’m excited to see where the rock story goes plus it’ll be interesting that theirs a traitor
I started to think about Rohan when he said do u trust ur allies and it made me think how in the original part 5 fugo was meant to betray the team but araky couldn’t write about it but maybe he will do it this time
I wonder if his stand has to due with like sins, rain normally being seen as a symbolism of cleansing/becoming clean. The police officers were corrupt and attacked jodio and his brother so the rain made them heavy of their sin or something
I'm not sure if this could be it but my thought I had for the significance of the lava rocks might be the concept of luck cuz in one of the comments I saw, as well as how the alternate universe's stories work with Steel Ball Run focusing on good luck and Jojolion focusing on bad luck. I think that through the lava rocks, both good and bad luck would be applied in the story. Or maybe I am just completely wrong cuz Araki is one of the most unpredictable mangakas. (As for people that recognise me from numerous other things. I watch a lot of different things in youtube).
When I first saw Rohan falling through the floor I assumed that it was because Jodio can control when the raindrops are heavy. Making them heavy as soon as Rohan was in the right position for the floor would break but that might just be me overthinking or misinterpreting it
It could be possible Jodio didn't directly attack Rohan because, as you later brought up, he respects Rohan. Perhaps he doesn't wanna attack him, but he had to subdue him somehow.
I think the law that Araki is portraying is the law of Monopoly. It's not exactly a traditional law of nature but when everyone trades eventually one person will own everything. So my guess Araki is trying to portray that law or concept on how Monopolies are form as a law of fortune
perhaps this law of nature is just the idea of prosperity in general? Like in nature prosperity exists, and those who are more prosperous have a greater survival advantage. In nature it would be more things like resources than money, like food, materials to construct shelter, etc.
I'm sure November Rain will be much more powerful than we give it credit for. Like Jolynes ability was just producing string; but the way she used that string made it into some of the most inspiring uses of a Stand ability in the series. Also I believe it may undergo a transformation, based on the previous JoJos Stands transforming towards the end of their part. I'm going off of pattern recognition though so I can be wrong.
These lava rocks sound like they’re setting up a Lord of the Rings scenario, where there’s a powerful object that everyone wants and is willing to kill each other over
"If you keep that lava rock and keep it safe, then you'll be lucky in life" says guy who just got his house robbed and a diamond stolen along with the lava rock.
I don't think he JUST made the rug heavy and wet. I think it was in INSANE TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR inside the villa with such force in such a focused small area that he may have weakened the concrete? Perhaps it's THAT heavy and he has THAT much control over it. Which, if true. Means he could effectively use November Rain as an orbital rail gun with a single raindrop. That? Is terrifying. It's raining like crazy here as I type this. Any single one of the raindrops that JUST hit me as I was out walking my dog could have ended me if it were November Rain. 6:47 I really hope your theory about Araki's Hawaiian vacation are true. It seems to have done him a lot of good. He's always been meta, he's always been pushing against that fourth wall, sometimes he broke it. But if you combine all that stuff we've learned about how he inserts characters and all that. This might be the closest he has come to directly addressing "us" the audience? I dunno reading too much into it perhaps. 12:03 I maintain the cat is Mikitaka.
I honestly think Jodio's stand will evolve into something more akin to a main JoJo's stand as the part progresses. This is just my personal theory, but Araki likes to have the stands of the main JoJo's be versatile in order to combat any situation they're in right? So it would make sense if Jodio's stand goes through some form of evolution via a great trial or revelation, kind of like Purple Haze in Purple Haze: Feedback. So his stand might be transitioning from just heavy raindrops to manipulate the raindrops as a whole. Not just their weight, but the size, shape, and perhaps even density of the rain.

I like the idea of November Rain being a bit underpowered in comparison to the Super OP Soft & Wet
8:20 if rohan is araki's self-insert and jodio is our's...this line is him talking to us. its inspiring...but also i feel a foreboding sense for what jodio (and us as readers) are gonna go through this story.
I hope Rohan does stay in the rest of the part instead just appearing for one arc
I may have jinxed that I’m sorry
Karera'd)
@@neoxus30 what?
@@gagejoestv2714 Karera was a character in Jojolion who showed up for one arc, said maybe they'll meet again, then just didn't show up for the rest of the part.
@@racergamer3733 ok I haven’t that far into JoJolion yet but thanks for telling me
I realized that Rohan being here at the beginning of the story is yet another callback to part 5, as that part had a different part 4 character interact with and attack our main jojo. People might of made this connection months ago, but something I just realized now.
THE ICONIC "I REFUSE" IS THERE AGAIN
New challenge: find the actual villa in real life 🤣🤣
I feel like the law of nature from the rock is either good luck, or in the case of a universal constant, maybe it's the law of attraction.
To Rohan, the Rock is a value of study, therefore it showing it’s mechanism by bringing an object of monetary value, despite Rohan not caring about money, would make sense considering it would be quite easy for Rohan to figure out using that.
i can see them giving their principal the diamond but not the lava rock and it comes back to them when they leave
The Cats’ Stand will be called Cat Food. A King Crimson reference.
I personally think the lava rocks attract things that help in our society, since money is what we use for everything in the world the lava rock attracts things that help you gain money.
Do you think that theres a connection between water falling from the sky [🌧 november rain] and fire coming from the earth [🌋 lava]?
i can tell 100% araki went to hawaii before writing this part, a lot of the details he included are way too specific for someone who has never been there before. in particular, the inclusion of stuff like kona airport and highways along the lavafields indicate that he really did take a pretty extensive tour
All the stands seem really weak strength wise, so relying on each other and enguinuity will probably be major themes, as we saw last chapter
just read the chapter and immediately cheked to see if you had uploaded and you did that exact second lol
What if Jodio first heard the term mechanism from a manga created by Rohan ?
So long Rohan. I eagerly await your return to Part 9 in April 2028.
I liked the theory that said that the lava rocks prevent you from having your possession taken away from you and that the way to exploit them to become rich is basically an infinite money glitch. Spend money and they eventually come back to you.
So just Milagro Man without the caveat?
I sorta believe that every word Jodio said to Rohan was probably laced in condescending sarcasm and I love it.
Would be cool if luck is gonna be the main driving force that makes the events happen in this part
i'm gonna make a prediction and say that a volcano is gonna be a stand in the future
I think the reason Jodio didn’t want the rain to land on Rohan because he respects and is a fan of him
Hawaii is actually a pretty popular tourist destination for the Japanese, so I'd imagine Araki has been there.
I’m literally visiting Hawaii in a month. Find this too cool.
"Is just heavy rain"
*literally*
A reason why Jodio rained on the carpet to immobilize Rohan instead of pinning him like the cops could be for the same reason he didn’t want his friends to hurt Rohan. Jodio respects Rohan so doesn’t want to hurt the guy. It could also be so they could question Rohan as the other way could knock the guy unconscious.
If he can make things wet with his rain and make them heavy. Then he should fight with those water missile things that soak up water and you hit people with
I think Jodios Dtand is purposefully simple. But it sounds like mass manipulation which could be interesting!
So odd for hamon beat to upload this before you 😂
Loved this chapter overall.
I started to think about Rohan when he said do u trust ur allies and it made me think how in the original part 5 fugo was meant to betray the team but araky couldn’t write about it but maybe he will do it this time
Really excited to see the reveal of the antagonist and their stand ability
Araki:(reads “The Secret” while on vacation in Hawaii)
Oh wow, I can do something with this…
I wonder if his stand has to due with like sins, rain normally being seen as a symbolism of cleansing/becoming clean. The police officers were corrupt and attacked jodio and his brother so the rain made them heavy of their sin or something
Maybe the law of nature is greed, since you could say that sins and virtues are laws of nature but are more focused on living things.
That's because of capitalism specifically. That doesn't happen without it.
I’m loving part 9 !
i forget if you've used that intro before but DAYUM that shit's cold
perhaps this law of nature is just the idea of prosperity in general? Like in nature prosperity exists, and those who are more prosperous have a greater survival advantage. In nature it would be more things like resources than money, like food, materials to construct shelter, etc.
2:00 the cat stand user
I'm sure November Rain will be much more powerful than we give it credit for. Like Jolynes ability was just producing string; but the way she used that string made it into some of the most inspiring uses of a Stand ability in the series.
Also I believe it may undergo a transformation, based on the previous JoJos Stands transforming towards the end of their part. I'm going off of pattern recognition though so I can be wrong.
I'm thinking the rocks are more tied to willpower or desire, and Jodio's desire is just to be richer.
I think the mechanisim is around desire/ambition. Just seems in line with the particular themes.
The rocks could be a more literal law of attraction
Not like gravity and fate but literally attracting wealth
These lava rocks sound like they’re setting up a Lord of the Rings scenario, where there’s a powerful object that everyone wants and is willing to kill each other over
"If you keep that lava rock and keep it safe, then you'll be lucky in life" says guy who just got his house robbed and a diamond stolen along with the lava rock.
Heavy rain is going to be some time of "Spin" related stand like the other two In the new universe
A spinning waterdrop which turns into a black hole🗿
12:03 I maintain the cat is Mikitaka.
he didn't make the rug heavy, the rain seeped through the rug then became heavy and broke the floor beneath it
I finally got caught up and I'm now realizing that I'm going to have to wait a month for every new chapter
I actually thought he could manipulate the weight of the raindrops, making them light or heavy at will
Tbh I have yet to actually read part 9 because xForts puts so much effort into his reviews and is like an in depth audio book
