I've watched a ton of jet Jon videos looking for the needed inspiration to destroy a Kawasaki ultra and your video by far has done it for me, beautiful design... Thank you and 👍 awesome boat
You have some amazing skills and patience for sure. What's the advantage of a jet boat in your neck of the woods? I owned the Winjet on Lake Mead for a few years which was powered by dual 2004 XP DIs. While those SeaDoos are amazing, that beast was such a pain in the ass to dock and get out of the harbor. I had to put on a trolling motor just to keep my wife from having a panic attack. The amount of gas it went thru daily was unreal, it could easily burn 4 gallons x 2 an hour and Lake Mead is massive. My 20' pontoon w a '95 115hp Evinrude 2 stroke is only slightly slower than the Winjet's dual 130hp motors.
I like what you have done to your Jon Boat, I have a job boat what kind of under coat Did you use? I'm want to do the bottom to help protect it from small rock and scratch it up.
What did you use on the bottom of your Jon boat I want to protect it for small sand and gravel when I beach It on sand bars I travel all year on the Mississippi river and Minnesota river
How do you deal with cavitation issues I have a 1436 and a Kawasaki 750ss Jet Ski that has 75 horse do you think that would be enough to get the boat bunch of gear plus the decking and three people on plane and be able to get up to a decent speed thanks again bud you got a real Talent
Any drawbacks to putting bedliner on the bottom of the hull other than added weight? I don't see it adding drag, it should actually break surface tension.
I assume the bedliner looking material was used as a sealer/paint/abrasion resistance but how much drag do you think that texture adds? Dont get me wrong 45mph in a jon boat is cooking
oneida80100 no, the durabak did not stay on the bottom very well. It's fine for the sides but not the bottom. I'm actually using wetlander slick bottom paint now. It's made for boat bottoms.
SC Designs, thanks for your response.....you saved me lots of work. I hope your future builds continue to be successful. I have study all you videos and read your builds on forums, most helpful!
Seems like nobody think about wires what about a pipe in an angle protecting you from wires that way it will deflect it on top of the boat and not cutting you in half
Enoc Rivera do you mean wires running across the river? Wow my friend was riding a dirt bike in the hills and someone had ran a strand of wire across the trees just the right height to hit him in his neck and cut 2” deep. He almost died and talks with a whisper now. So I’m alway paranoid of this when I ride now. Never heard anyone els talk about it.
@@timwegman5776 Yeah you always have to think about stuff like that man some people are sick in the mind if you're going really fast in a river or a Creek and someone just for the heck of it have a wire across that Can't the capitaes you but if you put a pipe and a wire quarter on top so when people are sitting down rinding you've got wired is in your way is just going to the flicked it on top of you and not kill you
MrTonymusic I charge $30 hr., This build was 130 hrs. Customer supplies the jetski and the boat, material cost including the Stereo was $4100 for this build.
SC Designs that’s really reasonable price. I’m surprised your not just building them and selling as a finished product I would assume they would sell for closer to double that cost ($4100+$3900= $8k) $8k for one of these is amazing and I’m sure they could sell for $15-20k easy. Just my opinion. Btw this is one of the nicest jet Jon I’ve ever seen, very clean and professional build. Great job thanks for sharing.
Definitely one of the cleanest builds I've seen, great job
The only problem I see with this is that I wouldn't be doing much fishing...too much fun getting there, lol.

Awesome build, awesome boat, awesome skills, great Video...you rock!!!
Thanks for all your documented builds. Your builds inspired me and I have started my own.
oneida80100 it really looks easy to do
I would love to know how you fastened the drive to the hull.
man thats some damn good work I built one about three years ago with a 75hp Yamaha theyre are fun as hell im gonna build another one next winter.
Are you still building boats?
How do you marry the fiberglass with the aluminum when joining the sea doo section to the Jon boat, especially without getting leaks? What do you use?

Great build!! what model jet ski should a guy be looking for?
Thanks
Looks like you're on Black River? Building one soon for this exact reason, river gets low and I wanna go! Lol
What is the average height of your engines from hull to top/ deck
nicely done i would of went with a steering wheel and a hot foot but
I like what you have done to your Jon Boat, I have a job boat what kind of under coat
Did you use? I'm want to do the bottom to help protect it from small rock and scratch it up.
Wow would trim tabs with a nozzle trim tilt help cavitation!
How much did it cost to build it wanting to make my boat a jet John and make it nice like yours
Super sweet but I feel like the bed liner on the outside of the hull is definitely robbing you of speed.
Do you have plans for this stuff? This one has more power then some boats 4x it’s size
These builds are amazing ! Do you get them inspected and registered after the jet install ? Or do you just take the chance ?
What did you use on the bottom of your Jon boat

lick mytoad on flat bottoms a spoon design has to be incorporated in front of the pump to help eliminate air from entering.
By far best one
I have a 94 tx 17 bass tracker. How much does it cost to do a build like this.
What's the top speed? Also fuel efficiency?
Do you have a Facebook page or a way that someone could get ahold of you to talk?
Nicely done
That thing is a fucking beast great job man
Wicked build. That motor have any issues keeping the stereo system going?
It shouldnt, we run 10x the systems on SXS's with no no issues
Anyone know how far this was set motor was set from the transom?
I am beginning a build my self by chance can you tell me your measurement from transom to the front of motor.
Any drawbacks to putting bedliner on the bottom of the hull other than added weight? I don't see it adding drag, it should actually break surface tension.
No draw backs that I have experienced.
Righteous...how much$....for sale ??
Badass man, sick look
How did you seal it up
Have you hit anything with this boat where you added the water intake? Or ran a ground?
How much if you build one
Do you build and sell any of these boats?
Bad ass builds bro.
Can you pull a tube on one of these things?
Yeah you take a rope In between the handles on the back and then another connection to that rope
i like it! great job
I want to buy this boat?
what happens when fish and game stop you with the boat certified to 60hp at best?
wtf vids it's built under the homebuilt category registration here in GA, there is no HP restriction on inboard engines.
What would you charge someone with a 16’ boat and a 155hp waver runner to just to get in running in the boar I’ll build everything else?
Buckwild 65 he wrote somewhere in this post that he only charges $30 per hour to do this. That’s a great price in my opinion.
I assume the bedliner looking material was used as a sealer/paint/abrasion resistance but how much drag do you think that texture adds? Dont get me wrong 45mph in a jon boat is cooking
Jeremy probably no more than a couple of mph
did you seal the bottom with fiberglass?
matthew lee just the seams to make it smooth, the permanent bond is 3m 5200 and screws
SC Designs aw hell that must be some bad ass stuff I know that 3m I used is awesome ill check in to that. thanks man.
Yea 5200 ain't no joke. Just have to make sure u give it sufficient cure time. It bonds and also seals from water like nothing else.
How do you steer man i really wanna figure out how to make one nice fucking job love from oregon
lick mytoad it's a push pull stick steer
What kind of wood and size did you use on building the decks? @sc_disign
1/2" treated plywood
U polished that turd into a diamond.
How much how fast?
SC designs, I know on a boat a few builds back you tried durabak.....Is that what you use now? Thanks
oneida80100 no, the durabak did not stay on the bottom very well. It's fine for the sides but not the bottom. I'm actually using wetlander slick bottom paint now. It's made for boat bottoms.

Where do y’all ride on the flint river?
Southwest GA
I was just curious because we have a buddy with a house on blackshear and have ran up river from there.
We run South of Albany from there down to make Seminole.
How much would you charge to build me one of those?
MrTonymusic I charge $30 hr., This build was 130 hrs. Customer supplies the jetski and the boat, material cost including the Stereo was $4100 for this build.
How are you attaching the jet ski to the bottom of the boat?

@@timwegman5776 8k plus the Jon and ski... still good deal
Bad ass
Build me one!!!
Must not be building anymore. No more uploads
Could a done without the music. Especially when you ran the motor
Annoying as F music spoils vid
