@@YurificationTrademark LMAO yeah, I can see that. I was wondering if they really just didn't intend us to use Stratecheese and stuff like that. Kinda sucks, but oh well...
@@kaiserkreuz2110 Yeah, for your sanity, I don't recommend beating these lv 999 fights without cheesing, since Masakado is also one of the worst superboss in the whole series
Holy cow... that's unexpected, somehow, Satan wasn't that troublesome huh (yup, True Masakado's Rush was something else due to how BS is Impaler's Revenge and Masakado himself from the get-go), the Fiends and Demi-Fiend were like the warm-up overall, but yeah... I doubt they playtested this as I could see them think "nobody on their sane mind would attempt to do these fights on challenge Lv.999 mode", well, next time, the SMT staff SHOULD KNOW BETTER that there are people that aren't on their right mind (if we look to this from that potential quote I wrote there POV) and WILL dare to do these stupid challenges... this kinda reminds me of the tale of how the staff of DOOM 2016 failed to do a single full run on Ultra Nightmare difficulty (you know, THAT one that plays with the Nightmare difficulty balances... BUT a single fatal mistake sends you back to square one, something that it's sequel and other games started to implement with different words like Gears of War 4 with the Ironman modifier or Wolfenstein's "Mein Leben" difficutly to mention a few) but at least they DID attempt to playtest it before giving up themselves and leaving that difficulty for those who want to give it a try, interesting they give the Conqueror's Emblem for doing that BS task. That aside, in my current (1st) run of the game, I'm doing it on Canon of Vengeance and like I said on your Masakado's Rush stream, is kinda difficult to keep a neutral aligment, I started in a Law side, but after doing some quests like the one involving Lillim vs Principality I have managed to become chaotic enough to reach neutral for now, so... not only are the story choices, but ALSO some sub-quests can draw you to either law or chaos (like the one I mentioned already or much earlier in the game that one with Asparsas and that other demon I forgot her name, siding with Asparsas makes you go Law while the other choice makes you go Chaos).
Thanks! Well, they did expect some players to go through with it, otherwise the Emblem wouldn't exist. That's wild to me how they thought at least one person would get it. These are not fun fights. Satan was okay but I definitely almost died lol. Too much RNG involved.
Its been a while since I played any smt, but these specific superbosses all at LV999?! Why atlus always give us the sensation of not playtesting some of the superbosses lol For curiosity, how much time/attempts did each of these beasts take you to get your first win against each of them (demi fiend/satan/masakado)??
Yeah, we were all thinking the same thing in chat. There's no way they actually did it themselves, yet they give those who manage it a pat on the back, like "okay?" It confused me a lot ngl. DF took me around 8-10 attempts iirc (the most in terms of raw amount.) Masakado took me around 6 tries to get right (but the most time consuming as each boss rush prior to him lasted at least 15 minutes.) Satan was the "easiest" with 3 attempts (that's why it was done off-stream, I didn't expect to win lol. Shiva and Samael take a lot of time though...)
@kaiserkreuz2110 Thats impressive, very well done! Another question: considering that I remember some of the previous games superbosses having an (often heavy) rng element in their fight, how "constantly" you think these new guys can be beaten with a plan in mind? I remember my old dear DDS demi fiend to be a big learning curve, but he could still end your attempt in some occasion even if your strat was correctly executed because of bad RNG.
@@SimCon02 they can all be learned pretty easily. Satan might be the hardest, and Masakado the most boring by far. Satan has the most RNG, Demi-Fiend can be trolled with, and Masakado has no RNG whatsoever (except the Impaler's Revenge proc from Challenge mode.)

I've lost 10 runs to Satan just summoning one of the female demons then plundering them on the same turn for a guaranteed full heal. Is there a way around this or do u have to cheese/rng? Stuck at lv400.
The way plunder works is he has to use it every 3 turns. Just make sure there's at least one demon at all times and that it's not Hariti or Sarasvati. It already happened to me and I understand your pain.

Right after Mara of all things
