Nice work!! I am in the process of my 3rd attempt of making our 16’ x 20’ right. Patience and troubleshooting will get me there. Your video helps!! Thanks for sharing!!

Great video. Question, how does it do in the rain? Does water gather or drain?

We have had 2 storms roll through since I put it up. The sail is advertised as being "permeable". The first was a light rain and it was fine. The second was a severe storm, so I actually took the sail down. It just clips in all 4 corners so it took less than 2 minutes to take them both down. This is probably the approach I will continue to take.

Do you have a cut list for boards and a list of materials?

I don’t cause it depends on the sail you are using! For mine, the posts are 8ft tall. 16ft 2x4s along the long ends. And the links to the sun sails and hardware kit are in the description!
      Thanks for watching!

Curious how difficult it was to get straight 16ft boards.

What size sail did you use? And what was the final dimensions of the footprint?

      I used 2 16x12 foot sails. Finished dimensions are roughly 16.5ft x 25.5 ft

What do you do in strong winds?

The shade unclips in seconds. We had a huge storm roll through today so I rolled it up. Took less than 2 minutes

yeah I was going to say...I don't have much experience in home improvement but with a large structure like that, why not use strong ties to anchor the posts to the concrete ground and ditch the cement. You could still put flower pots there if you like that touch, although one might consider wood rot. I guess this way it's temporary and the concrete is still pristine.
