I really love Givenchy G Society, an old fragrance with a new presentation, but as i never really enjoyed Brut and all that, this is my favorite new fragrance.
I wore “Blue Jeans” a few months ago and the Girl who works in the Pharmacy chased me out of the door asking me what I was wearing because she said, “I smelt so good”. I also wore “Le Male” a couple of years ago and this Lady told one of my Co-workers how good I smelt. I also smelt this Guy in the Supermarket wearing, Joop Homme, and he smelt fabulous. Yet, we have all these Influencers on Social Media telling us not to wear these fragrances but to spend huge amounts of money of all these new fragrances.
I like Blue Jeans too. Timeless DNA really. I gotta agree with his take on Le Male tho. I sampled it and HATED that smell, but, AT LEAST I actually smelled it and didn't listen to an influencer one way or the other.
@@fatshady5714 you didn't like it after you tested it, it's personal taste. However, I am old enough to remember how crazy popular it was before social media etc, because it is so mass appealing. I didn't buy it because it was similar to what Sauvage is now, too common. But the smell was getting compliments left and right.
You know what? Those AREN'T bad scents. Yet they are kind of outdated, with some of them lacking the performance or just smelling like a grandpa. Is a well kept man going to secure a compliment with those? Sure, but is it a frag for a young guy? Not really. Also Le male disgusted my whole family, like litteraly so maybe the old batches had some magic to them
I mean you can smell good wearing cheap fragrances, i have some designer and some middle eastern. For the price the middle eastern ones are a very very good deal, the only problem is that they are almost always a blind buy xD
All your fragrances honestly make sense. U don't even hate them u just have a lot of fragrances. And we all know that some brands have so many flankers that you basically do not need every one of them because some of them are too similar or not that good. :))
I blind bought Nitro Green, which is supposed to be a clone of Ultra Male. After spraying, I quickly got on Reddit and traded it for Afro Leather, which is amazing.
I have to agree with you on Tonka Cola. Although it sounded interesting and fun, I can never find an occasion when I want to go out smelling like a dark fizzy drink, maybe if I dress up as a bottle of Coke for Halloween one day.
oddly enough 1 Million Lucky is the scent i regret. I tried it in store but not on skin. I pulled the trigger just to realize I like it but not enough to wear out confidently…confidence is all you have w these frags so choose wisely.
It was the 3rd frag I got, I still like it a lot but don't want to smell like it everyday. Wear it few times a week rn, have liquid brun coming in which will likely dethrone it as my winter pick.
The original Le Male smelled MUCH different back in the day (90s-early 2000’s) before it got reformulated into what it is now. They honestly ruined it and wish they’d bring it back because it would still be a banger and hold up against anything current.
The first and only regret I did for a blind buy is Bentley Intense for Men.The only perfume that I bought before pandemic and until I cannot still use it because it is so strong, headache-inducing and can be offensive to others. I think it is well suited to very cold weather.
Its always funny when young lads hate on the "old school barbershop fragrances". It makes sense. Havent been around long enough to get that nostalgia with going to the barbershop and your favorite barber giving you a straight razor shave.
I regret Valentino Yellow & Versace Oud Noir. (Honourable mention: Swy intense. It's so generic and smells so cheap compared to the other ones I have, but the scent itself is ok)
0:55 The original Valentino Uomo gives me the best reaction, i.e. in my opinion a bit underestimated as well. 👀 PS: Erba Pura is among the most beast mode fragrances. On me it completely overpowered Dior Sauvage Elixir (which I thought would be a nice strong layering combo 😉).
I don't have regrets, because I don't follow the fragrance hype, I watch the videos yes but that's usually because I'm trying to get an idea of what the main opinions are, it's quite easy to tell when someone actually likes a fragrance in a review and when they're faking it. Also not everyone likes the same things/has the same scent associations. I buy what I like, I'm lucky to live in a city where we have luxury retail stores like harrods beauty and John Lewis, so I can try before I buy, the only time I blind buy is after watching multiple reviews from perfumers, not fan boys; and if the notes sound like something I'd love, it's a buy.
I have blind bought 200 fragrences mostly off of youtube reviews. I only regret a couple. Luckily, most were cheapies. Dunhill Custom (its just water, threw into a cart to reach free shipping), every John Varvados I have ever bought (good smell, doesn't last, bad projection), Bentley Beyond the Collection Wild Vetiver, Chrome United and Pure. Was trying to find a strong long lasting summer scent but the last 3 I could not even smell. Others could but I couldn't. Maybe something wrong with my olfactory senses IDK, sold all 3 on ebay. And I was disappointed/underwhelmed with ADG profumo and D&G Light Blue Intense. I gave D&G and the JV colognes to my 20-something son.
Alhambra toscano leather, lattafa Honor and glory, sublime, amethyst and oud for glory. They weren’t bad clones but just didn’t work for me. Be careful blind buying folks.
Mont Blanc Legend, smelled great on the test strip but my skin chemistry turned it into an acrid mess. Ironically Legend Spirit works great. Other Regret, CR7 Fearless, cheap not great but also not terrible.
I regret buying Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme EDT, because it smells way too citrusy for me, to the point of smelling like something bright and sour. I also regret buying Trussardi Black Extreme, because it smells dark, kinda leathery and too manly and grown up for my taste. Finally, I regret buying Lattafa Fakhar, which is YSL Y's clone. The only reason Fakhar (and probably YSL Y too) made it to the regret list, is because it smells similar to floor cleaning agents. The apple note is too overpowering and synthetic to me, but hey, for 16€, I cannot complain. I use this as my go to gym scent since Mont Blanc has been more expensive to buy for me.
The only fragrances i regret buying was lattafa qaed the white one because it was too feminine and 9pm because i payed 80 for it at a mall and i lowkey thought it was a good deal then i fount out its cheaper online and i kinda felt sad abt it
I have never liked the OG Le Male. The orange blossom and vanilla combo just reminds me of toilet air freshener or those cheap cans of vanilla based Impulse deodorants girls used to bathe in during the '90s. Valentino's BIR Yellow Dream smells too warm and spicy to wear in hot weather for me. Sure, the pineapple is fresh, but I think it's much better suited to cooler weather.
My regret.. Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche.. Not enough vanilla.. Too much lemon! It’s smells like Pinesol or a freshly cleaned public restroom.. Rave Now as well.. Straight pineapple juice.. 🤢🤮
I only have 2 fragrances I really don’t like that seem to be massively popular so I had blind bought them. Both are really cloying and way too strong. 1) Chopard - Oud Malaki & 2) Club de Nuit - Sillage
Can you rate my collection: JPG elixir, JPG le male le parfum, YSL myself le parfum, Valentino intense, Valentino green stravaganza, azzaro the most wanted intense
It's good and mass appealing, it has the creed Aventus DNA but the dry down is totally different. I would prefer it over Creed Aventus cause Creed Aventus is peak male gaze. I love both but Aventus is so expensive

as it got older, it got a strong, sharp scent of alchol instead of the soft apple and vanilla when i bought it
