Stevie Wonder was so impressed by his sincerity and humbleness he asked SRV to come to his studio and record it there. SRV was such a beast onstage and so kind and humble off the stage. Truly remarkable talent and person. Miss you SRV!

The fire starts @2:50, but he really dives in at @4:10!!! This is one of Stevie’s greatest nights covering this song. But since he’s toured non stop for years, he had to have had 30 to 60 nights just like this one!! VERY TOP FORM HERE!! Happy, healthy, in love and had a successful year touring, so he was able to COMFORTABLY DIVE INTO HIS PLAYING and THIS WAS THE OUTCOME!!!!
All the stars were aligned for him, not a worry in his mind!
