- Our first litter of Sheltie puppies from Shelby. I thought I would do a video on their progression from birth to being adopted. If you don't think these little guys are cute then get you head examined - hahaha

you can call me biased because my family has only had shelties, but I think sheltie puppies are without a doubt the cutest
So are Collie's, and mini Aussies.. They are all from the same breed, oh can't leave out the Boarder Collie, they are more hyper.

I've gotten a St Bernard puppy, lab, Maltese and sheltie and I can also say they r the cuteness. We r planning to have my bi-black have puppies in about a year and I wish it would come sooner (she's a little to hyper right not)

They are soooooooo cuuuuuuuuuute!!!!!! they remind me my sheltie, she was 6 weeks old when I got her. She lived for 15 years and she brought tremendous joy to my family. I miss her greatly.....

Awww, so so sweet! Enjoyed this so much! We had a sheltie from the time he was 8 weeks old (born June 12, 1999 in Oregon), his name was "Kodiak" and he was truly our furry boy/child. Kodiak lived a good life and he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on March 4, 2017 at the age of 17 yrs. 9 months. We miss Kodiak so very much, sigh. Thank you for sharing your shelties they truly are the BEST-EST dogs on the planet as I told Kodiak many many times.

My sheltie was bigger than they are suppose to be but was naturally a good dog. Never had any issues once he was out of the puppy phase. They are really good family dogs.

Thats OK, mine is quite large. Hit 52# early this year, a little chubby. Back down to about #42-43 and can feel his ribs easily. About 19" at the shoulder, AKC papers and all. He was the first of the litter to come right up to me, and the largest on them all. My wife of course wanted the smallest of the litter, however the 'runts' usually end up with more problems IIRC, and I'm happy my 9 y.o. guy is doing great. Gets glucosimine and fishoil every day.
My Sheltie passed away in September. She was rescued in 2002, the vet estimated her age at nine months. She was the best, goodest good girl that ever was good. 🥺

Shelties are the BEST! We had a collie, a beagle and a shelty as pets. I loved every one of them, but our beloved shelty holds a very special place in the hearts of my family. You are very lucky if you've adopted a shelty.
Whoa!! They got so much bigger between weeks 3 and 4! We have a sheltie too, he’s 15 now, and he’s just the sweetest, most patient and loving dog ever.
I went to Good Will and bought a play pen for my three puppies. It was great!

They are so adorable and Shelby is such a good mommy. I have two Shelties, full blooded brother and sister from the same liter. I currently live in New Zealand, and over here, they are lots smaller than they are back home in the states (where I am from). My little girl was the runt also and very shy, she is so sweet and just loves to be loved, her brother is in love with everyone, he would make a great good-will ambassador. Shelties are the best breed ever, they are so in tune with my feelings, I would be lost without them.
Love this vid and these pups. I've had nothing but Shelties since 1986; longest I've ever been without one and it felt awful to be in a house with no fur! They are the sweetest, most intelligent and anxious to please dogs. My Bodie and Connor--the current pups--are both rescues. Love Shelties forever.

My Sheltie is 10 years old. The is very healthy so I'm hoping I'll be one of the lucky ones where mine lives past his life expectancy of 12-14 years. You have my condolences.
We adopted a lil Sheltie puppy a month ago I think, she’s already grown out of her baby fur and is the most rambunctious lil girl I’ve ever met. Her name is Frankie and I’d protect her with my life!!

What a good momma!!! She trusts you enough to not get aggressive when you go near the newborns, but stays close enough to make sure her pups are OK. 😊

My family had Shelties when I was growing up. And they were unbelievable dogs. We've had Border Collie's as well. Probably the two best breeds of dogs to have. But I prefer a Sheltie over the Border Collie just slightly because of the Blue Merle we had. He was gorgeous, loyal, energetic and daft (We nicknamed him Muppet because of that)
This is adorable! We are currently in the search process for a sheltie baby. They're truly the best dogs out there in my opinion.

I am pretty sure you already have your sheltie. But I would not get them less than 8 weeks old because they have to learn to socialize with the litter and the mama corrects them if they misbehave.

Got 2 pups from the same litter, they're adorable little rascals! Your video is so sweet and we couldn't visit our pups much while they were still at the breeder so it was nice to see yours grow. Winston and Franklin are loving the snow we've got here at our home in Canada!

i got a sheltie when i was 10. i've also had collies and border collies. they're all great, but i think the shelties are the best ☺! several yrs after i got the sheltie, my brother got a collie for his b'day. the sheltie was about 25 lbs, but she dominated the collie puppy. even when he was grown and about 75 lbs, he still minded the sheltie. all the sheltie had to do was give a small growl and the collie - 3 times her size - immediately fell in line lol!

We have had 6 Shelties over 40 years. Tri-color Sable dominate our. We received our devastating news our precious Toby 12 years has inoperable bladder cancer. We will enjoy every minute with him.

What a super video!!!! I have a miniture sheltie (black and white... now 8 years old and all of sudden, she's showing some brown!! lol). I rescued her at about 5 months old... and she has been a true joy!!! Thank you for sharing your video!!

I had a question if you don't mind. My friend got a sheltie pup because her first was a rescue ( not well looked after ) and she passed. The family was devistated and she saw one on the net and true love started. The dog she got was a premie, long story, so was smaller but very smart. She had her ears glued forward to make them into a specific shape and my friend was told it would just grow out. I have never seen it before or with your dogs Do you have any idea about this?
some people do "crop" the ears but it is a preference. You have to tape them for a while while they are pups to get the ears to droop. Ive never really wanted to go thru all that. As far as for show Im unsure if that is a trait they look for. The glue they use on the ears is made for skin and it will grow out .
I loved this video! :) I just love shelties! They are such great dogs! I have a soon to be 11 month old Sheltie who is so sweet! My previous sheltie passed away in Feb 2015 and my heart was so broken. He was such a beautiful boy. I didn't think I could get another one but ended up deciding to get another sheltie. It's so amazing to see them grow up and learn so much. I always joke by saying he's is a little devil in a cute suit! :) I wouldn't have it any other way though, I love my puppy! :)
Hahaha yeah once they get thru the puppy stage they chill out a little hahaha

I MISS MY GORDIE (PASSED 7YRS 5MOS AGO, AND JUST LOST MY SUNDANCE KID IN JUNE, BOTH WITH THAT DAMN CANCER. I HAVE SUNDANCE KID'S MOTHER AND THAT KEEPS MY MIND OPEN TO GET ANOTHER FRIEND FOR HER.. Both were cremated and home with us... I cry because my Shelties were the best, and all of the Sheltie's are the best behaved pets. All mine were and ma ma still IS A SERVICE BABY. She knows her son passed she smelled his urn of "CHERRY WOOD" and big enough if anything happens to her she will be with him, Sundance Kid.
I got a plastic swimming pool, lined it with old towels, and told my female that is where she would have her puppies. She did. After they were born, she would not let my neutered male near them. He was the more fun parent, though, as they grew.

Shelties are such beautiful and adorable puppies and well as full grown dogs. I’ve never had one but I think about it. I work all the time so it’s hard to have a pet of any kind. Maybe in a few years when I retire 🥰

How is it going so far. It was a breeze house training my 8 months old sable white. Breeder did a great job upbringing from birth to 8 weeks old.
Maybe its 'cause I miss my boy who passed of old age last year and that I'm still a kid finishing up college but seeing just how much fun they all have playing together I'm not sure if I could've let them go like that unless I knew they could meet up fairly regularly again, but I'm more than sure that they went to good homes and I've never seen puppies happier raised n.n
Thanks so much ! yes its always hard to see them go but all of them we were sure went to good homes - I told a couple folks no, not interested :) One wanted to keep the pup crated all day while they were at work - that would'nt work haha
It must be so sad to give them to new families. I can't imagine baby versions of my sheltie and having to let them go! But on a positive note, shelties are the best and if more people can be blessed to have one in their life, then amen!

When we lost my 2nd sheltie (Kaycee) 12 years ago, she was 12 years old. We said no more puppies, as it hurts losing a love one. Two years after, we missed having a pitter patter sound on the floor and started looking for a breeder. We got a blue merle and sable white, siblings with same mama different mama. We lost my sable white at age of 12. We still have my blue merle, now 13 years old, showing signs of aging. We got a sable white 8 months ago and love her to pieces. Looking to get a tri or another sable white in very near future so my 8 months old has a playmate. Love love love shelties.

Now we have had Shelties for years and now have two Border Collies. Side by side don’t think we have ever seen dogs as smart as B.C. And that’s saying something because shelties are no slouch in the smart department. So given the chance to go back we would have stuck with shelties. What great pups love them all.

My boyfriend and I are gonna plan on moving in together and I told him that I wanted 1 request and that is to get our own sheltie puppy. I’ve grown up with shelties my entire 24 years of life and he knows how much they mean to me
These shelties are adorable! The whole video has been heartwarming from the start. I have always loved shelties and have lately been interested in taking one into our home. Not sure whether to adopt a puppy, or an adult. We would like to spend as much time as possible with him/her, but I read it is good to look into an adult. Our house is a bit messy and we are worried about taking care of their fur.
kaitlyn lee Brushing daily really helps. Brush teeth, too. It saves on vet cleaning. My last one was $425.00.

I keep saying that Sheltie's are the cousin of the Collie when people ask. Sheltie's originated in the "SHETLAND ISLANDS". I do my home work and they too teach me much. Aussies(Australian Shepard, and Boarder Collies) are basically in that same Bread. They are all working babies. Aussies are more gentle like the Sheltie as to the Boarder Collie, they are more high strung and need a lot of exercise. I am after another Sheltie, or a mini Aussie...they are calm. I get on the computer and talk to people and that is how basically find my information. I have a trainer here in N. Las Vegas, NV and she has her business also at "SMARTY PAWS" her facilities (two) have everything you would want your dog to be and how to be "TRAINED"!!! "YES I ALWAYS PUT IN A PLUG FOR HER" also an excellent "SERVICE DOG TRAINER" that is where I had mine trained all were and ma ma is a SERVICE BABIE" I do have medical problems and they all took care of mine.
