Luv, luv, luv! The painted floor is charming. Funny, the color reminds me of the base color my son's wife picked out when we painted a faux saltillo tile on the concrete sun room floor of the 1960s ranch they live in. And you can always use that color to simulate grout if you decide to stamp or stencil a tile or other pattern on top of it. We used 16" squares of 4" thick chair foam as stamps. We used 2 subtle shades of terra cotta & a dull washed out gold paint that we poured in random size puddles into pizza boxes, then plopped the foam down into the paint & stamped it between 16 1/2" grid chalk lines. Due to the puddle technique leaving very thick paint in spots, it took days to dry. Then she put several layers of matt clear coat on top. Looked just like saltillo. Don't get down about lack of progress on your house. We're all postponing projects. I have a house & a bunkhouse that need new roofs. Not gonna happen soon, as long as they don't leak. Maybe a blessing that we've not had rain in a year. I have a few spots I've patched around the vents. I don't care, I refuse to be robbed buying overpriced building materials.

Hey, that actually turned out looking very nice. We've had to slow down also on our finishing the house. We're needing metal skirting and siding. I guess we'll just buy a couple of sheets at a time til it's all complete. I'm just thankful we got alot done before these crazy prices..

Dug my first bowl of potatoes I planted in February as winter was milder. So exciting. Just getting necessities too. Want to stock up for the wood burner. Enjoy having your parents so close and able to help them, keeps you from worrying .,Enjoy your veggies this year. Your initiative to improve your floor at a very little cost is 100% better! You can redo it if there are marks. Chin up honey you did soo well. Keep your strength up . Lots of vitamins , especially B6 , your body needs it. Be proud of what you guys have achieved so far. Enjoy time together. Xxxx
I just started to paint my floors. Can't afford new flooring either. I have 2 rooms done pulling up this nasty dirty 30yr old carpet in the front room next. It's so clean & easy to care for you will love the difference😊. 😊😊😊

It is water based (for health reasons) so not well. It scratches easy.

Jesus, darling, don’t use caulking on the floor, when it dries out, it will leave gaps and dips in the joints, use spackle or flexible floor compound.
