I had one just like that it went out after 6 weeks i took it apart the board was burning you might want to get something else for backup like inverter with a battery
Kinda a waste of time to watch without any explanation of how and why
It's sad I have to add this to your list, but you need some type of protection against looters after the storm. After the April 1979 tornado here in Wichita Falls, Texas, my brother and I sat up all night on the front porch with our pew-pews and watched several looters walking through the neighborhood. When they saw us, from the lantern light with our weapons, they turned and went the other way. Scumbags always come out after the storms to steal others things. Be prepared to defend yourself and your property.
Sorry to hear you did not make money on your channel. You posted great videos and built a nice house and property. You and your husband are two good people. Good luck with your music. Enjoy life because life is too short.
❤❤❤😊
Hi There, Great to see you well. I found your other channel and I subs. You should put the link into your home channel so that people can find you easy. You have a great voice. 💜
@@GardeningwithPurpose329 thank you! That’s a good idea!
I'm from Oklahoma. Where are y'all located in Oklahoma. We have a fiberglass shelter and it works great.
The only thing I don't like about those shelters is the door opens to the outside instead of inside, you'll never get out if debris is blocking it, if it opens up on the inside you have a better chance to dig out in my opinion....at the very least you could yell for help and be heard easier
I realize this is a year old but wanted to ask… is it still performing well? I’m considering building something similar, but am curious, isn’t the sulfur dioxide heavier than air? How is it escaping out of the top of that vent without a fan pumping out the gas?
it’s still doing fine. there is a screen on top where the lid should be so the gas is escaping there. also vents in the well house itself.
I just started to paint my floors. Can't afford new flooring either. I have 2 rooms done pulling up this nasty dirty 30yr old carpet in the front room next. It's so clean & easy to care for you will love the difference😊. 😊😊😊
making a waaay bigger deal. ur gonna be in this thing a few minutes at best til that pig passes. aint gonna be hours. you idiots new?
Hi there to everyone involved in this great adventure and journey! I live in zone 9a Pacific Northwest. I'm a year late in viewing this informative video that you recorded [last year], but I am glad that I found your video today, September 01, 2024. I purchased a prefabricated greenhouse from another company though the greenhouses look very similar to Harbor Freight's brand. The greenhouse is up and have survived its first 9-15 mph windstorm. Now I'm currently waiting for some plastic strapping tape to arrive. I will use the plastic strapping tape to place across the plastic panels, and I had thought I would use the metal strapping tape to anchor the greenhouse to the wooden plant tables to work with the ground bolts that I installed earlier. What I wanted to thank you and the family for is that of showing how you used the metal strapping tape to anchor the greenhouse to the wooden plant tables also. Now I know there are others doing something similar to anchor these wonderful greenhouses down. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video!
Your only in storm shelter for only at mist one hour
No need for toilet I’m in Oklahoma as well and we hold our crap 💩 You’re only in shelter for an hour. Ours is in ground cement like in 80’s or before . We put our potatoes and onions etc in it still have too For table that seats 6
Concrete is cold and damp. Especially if you are not moving. I would install two camp beds to sit and have many blankets, pillows, coats and warm shoes to keep warm. Pocket warmers. A lot of water to drink. More food for 8 person. Steady the toilet so it doesn’t spill. Poop in plastic bags.
YOU'RE MISSING SOME FORM OF ENTERTAINMENT WHILE Y'ALL ARE IN THERE...ALL 8 OF Y'ALL. PERSONAL SUGGESTIONS: UNO, BOGGLE, INFLATABLE BEACH BALL, BATTLESHIP, DOMINOES, JAX, PICK UP STIX, PLAYING CARDS, OPERATION , PERFECTION, MONOPOLY, SORRY AND CONNECT FOUR. PLENTY OF CHOICES FOR YA 😉😁 AND CAN YA TELL I ❤ BOARD GAMES😂. GREAT STORM SHELTER BY THE WAY 👍🤘💪. PS YA DEFINITELY NEED MORE WATER FOR 8 PEOPLE AND A DOG....ANOTHER ROLL OR TWO OF TP WOULDN'T HURT EITHER, NO CANDLES DUE TO SMOKE INHALATION....USE LED LIGHTING INSTEAD OR BATTERY PUSH BUTTON LIGHTS, PLACE A STEEL COVER OVER THE OUTSIDE FAN TO PROTECT FROM FALLING DEBRIS AND GET A BULLHORN OR WHISTLE IN CASE YOUR DOOR GETS BLOCKED BY DEBRIS, SOME PAIN RELIEF MEDS LIKE TYLENOL AND BENADRYL (INSECT BITES) FINALLY DOG FOOD/TREATS/TOYS ❤. GOD BLESS Y'ALL 🙏✨.
Maybe put a little fan in there to if it's hot or dusty during a storm.
I have seen people put bunk beds in these shelters a sit is more seating and people can sleep
I would’ve liked to seen the whole shelter instead of just where you are storing your items have no idea how big it is
What happened?
Hi Mark! I’ve been taking a little (huge) break from filming and editing. Honestly it’s something I have grown to not enjoy anymore. I plan on having an update video sometime soon. it’s just a lot of work, to film myself and everyone else when I am doing a large chunk of the building myself. (I need a camera crew and a video editor). since our last video, I’ve decided to try to make a singing career for myself. I’ve been creating music, doing gigs all over the place. it’s been a lot of fun. Anyway, I’ll try to get around to making an update video. thanks for being a fan of our channel!
seems if it came directly over you it would suck that shelter up you needs several feet of earth over the top and a thicker slide door
What you need is a stronger door!!!
Missing you guys. What's up
Great job 👍
Thanks for this video! The most beautiful part that pulled me to open the good book was the scripture at the end!! May God continue to bless y'all immensely
I recommend a deck of playing cards.
U rock💪Thanks for making this, definitely helped me be prepared hopefully goes well🤞
The noise inside the shelter must be very intense in a storm like that 😰💪💪
Skip to 3:30 for the actual floor work
Seit ihr ok? Lange nichts gehört.🙏
Thank you
the shelter should have been 2 or 3 times bigger for 8 people.
In this video you mention it’s March that means you haven’t posted a new video in 4 months. It is a lot of work but it’s a jo where you can make good money. A career
You’re up to almost 10,000 subscribers.. and then you stop posting videos….. 7- got to keep going and stay consistent to build a channel. Two channels Vajun Country Living and Can’t Contain us started their channels about the same time yogi started yours. Can’t Contain Us is up to over 69,000 subscribers and Cancun over 200,000…. You have to stay consistent. You can do it.
hi Denise! I know it’s been a long time. my problem is that I despise filming and editing videos. It takes all the patience I can muster to do it. since I do a lot of the building myself, it takes a lot of energy to also film myself. I’ll get around to an update video soon, hopefully. I’ve also been busy working on starting a music career. I’ve been singing all over the place and have been focusing on gigs, and creating music! which is what I absolutely love to do. Thank you for being a fan of our channel and always supporting us!!
Why were wooden blocks put on top of the concrete pillars under the floor supports?
How did you trim out the windows?
I would add bone an toy for pets....also maybe deck cards or board games for somekind of entertainment
Don’t forget the bag o weed!
I don't understand not moving the table out of the way, lol.
Who the hell uses clamps in Building? Must be from a sourthern state.
Bug out bags for each person. Enough non perishable food and what for each person for 3 or 4 days (idr which)
Add prescription meds ,over the counter meds, hand tools for survival & self rescue, a tarp or two, and some seat cushions for like outdoor chairs
I hope you have a few plastic trash bags to line your toilet bucket. It makes clean-up a lot easier.
How long do you think tornados last ?😂😂😂😂
One big advertisement, lame.
You also need heavy plastic bags for your toilet.
You definitely need Jim Baker’s food buckets… that double as toilets also. 😂
I would add a deck or two of cards, uno, maybe chess or checkers, or board games. I would also consider adding a second exit.
To be more comfotable, you could get cushions for patio chairs to sit on. They could be stored in a large tote in the shelter. Don't forget to get one for the dog. 😊
Van a poner más videos ??
