It's because of your video that I bought Washingtonia palm from Aldi a few weeks back, Thank you. I go to b&m tomorrow forte banana plant.thanks again.
Just back from B&M, bought 1 black colocasia, 1 siam Ruby which is going to get split into more and a banana with 5 pups, thanks for the heads up real bargains. What will you do with the siam Ruby's over winter, with them being small can they go dormant or if put in your hot house will you have to provide extra light? Thanks
great video! and bargains, haha ive literally just picked up 2 of the black colocasia and 1 siam ruby as well, couldnt believe they were in store, and got the only 2 colocasia that came in haha. im quite close with my Local stores buyer so get a heads up when new stuff is due to arrive . great content though always an avid watcher
@richardfrais_backyard_projects Thank you, my local b&m only had to colocasia as well. It hurt but I left one for someone else. But very impressed with the quality of the plants 😃
@@jimspalmsuk5098 ahh i think, and from what my local buyer from b&m was saying they are like a test plant and theyve sent 2-3 to most stores, it sounds like these could become a normal offering going forward with the sounds of how successful selling they have gone. haha good man 💪😎yeah i should of left one really 😂🤔🤦♂️ ive also been impressed as well so great stuff this year even baby dicksonia have been in at my local haha 🤷♂️
@@jimspalmsuk5098 ah ok, i believe b&m are testing it as a new offering going forward from what i can tell and having good conversations with my local b&m garden centre buyer they have sent only a couple to a few stores to see the success rate, fingers crossed more cool stuff to come! haha good man 💪😎 maybe i should have left one 😂🤦♂️🤷♂️ they even had baby dicksonia in recently which also suprised me!
Hi Jim my local b&m usually have the bananas in every year for that price, and as u say £12.50 for the larger banana plants. Normally basjoo, Cavendish or the maurelli & sometimes the golden lotus. 1st time I've seen them stocking the Sian Ruby tho! Seem to be getting more adventurous with they're tropicals tho 👌pays to pop in every so often. Managed to get a large Washingtonia Robusta that was originally priced at £50 knocked down to a tenner because it had a couple of dead fronds on it! Result. No idea how I'll keep it alive over winter tho 🤔 got just a standard walk in greenhouse not the poly carbonate type. May well be a tight squeeze to fit it in! 😂😂
Hands up who wishes they went to b&m last week!
I might have to pop into my local one on the off chance, definitely worth it for those prices.
@@Hollywiththeflowers I think most stores only had 2 of the colocasia, but loads of different varieties of the bananas 👍
Bargain, three months ago I paid £18 for Bengal Tiger from B&M.

@allanjubb732 Well done, they are seel fast. I think I'll be keeping the Ruby's on my bathroom windowsill.
Space may be an issue this winter 🤔

@stephenkeeble6857 Each winter I seem to have more to protect, but it's worth it to have the more interesting stuff 👍
Mad dash coming up!
