Great review! As an easy pace and neutral runner, Speed 2 is always my go to shoe. Slightly more snappy and bouncy than Speed 3

I have the same opinion on the 2 vs 3, but the 3 does everything, and when I've traveled I've just taken the 3 as my only running shoe. The 2 is definitely snappier, and I still have one new pair in reserve! I need to hunt down another pair for when those are done.

Totally agree, Endorphin Speed 2 are insane, best shoe ever. I've been running in them for a year and a half (not every day, only 3-5 miles each run). Haven't tried the 3 yet, which are slightly different. Kinda worried I'll be disappointed with the 3. Because the Speed 2 are perfect.
It’s taken me 18 months as a new runner to find a good rotation. Triumph 20s and Speed 3s have sorted me out big time!

If I'm not mistaken, Saucony changed their strategy with some of their lines to come up with a new version around every two years instead of one, so that could explain it. Also, in Canada, they recently had a sale for 40% off on the Speed 3 Runshield, most men's sizes were gone within a couple days.
I loved my Speed 2and logged almost 700 miles, then I bought a second pair and was deeply disapointedI then bought the Pro 2 for my race day shoe and love it too. I was a Asics Gel Kayano devotee 14/15/19/22/26 gel lites and so I tried the GK 30's, bought the hype and sent them back after a week they are way too hevy @ 10.5 oz..compared to the Speed 2's 8.1, so then I tried the Speed 3's..., OH My...Yo really need to run in that shoe. You fall in love with Saucony all over again. My all time favorite, Just tried the Nova blast 3...still heavier than the Speed 3's...but as a rotation shoe it might ok. Please get the Speed 3, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
It's crazy how Saucony got lucky with release timing, when Endorphin series were released! It was one of the first one in the world ( at least in USA / EU ) to get Pebax as midsole beside Nike Vaporfly Series! Also, part of Speed success were always that there were literally no good differences between Speed and Pro other than Plate being stiffer on Pro and slightly lighter!
Additionally, back then there weren't any other options to try super shoes for such a good price, since Vaporfly still was over 250 bucks shoes and was even higher than MSRP because of restricted manufacturing back then.
But these days, a lot of pebax shoes options out there and I'm glad I was one of the first people to ever fell in love with Endorphin Speed series! Because of Endorphin speed, I fell in love with running, and I'm super glad for it. It will always be my most memorial shoes of all time :)

Wasn't what I was expecting but enjoyed the content. Personally it was the Triumph 19 that got me hooked and I love them. My Speed 2's I think are ok but not as nice as the Truimphs but the Pro 3's are amazing!
I'm still on my Speed 1s (time out for injury, not shoe related), and love them, as you say, they're an all time classic (this from someone who ran in the Pegasus 1s!). It seems to be that Saucony didn't tinker too much with the 2s, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but found that too many people were using them for training AND racing, and they'd really wanted us to buy the Pro as well. So they dialled back the Speed 3 a tad, to differentiate more from the out and out racer Pro. If they start updating models only every other year, that's fine so long as they go on producing shoes this good, it can't be that easy to improve on what is practically perfection. Here in Europe the Speed 3 is beginning to come down in price a bit, probably due to competition in the category from the Adidas Adizero Boston 12 and the Puma Deviate Nitro 2.

Plenty of sales here outside of Saucony's website in Aus. Must be getting got in the states 🤷🏼♂️
I also like the Speed 2 and Pro 2’s but I am now wearing the 3’s and they’re a game changer!
I loved the Speed 1s, but the 2s messed with my achilles pretty badly. But then the 3s were incredible and I logged over 700 miles on them as a heavy runner (195lbs). As for the 3s going on sale, I believe that will happen next year closer to when the 4s come out as I believe they pushed the release date until then.

Saucony also decided to fly new inventory into the US instead of waiting 3+ months for ship and rail delivery. It cost them a lot of money, but it paid off. Also, they might be moving the Speed to an 18 month update schedule. I'm sure they'll go on sale eventually! And if you think the Speed/Speed 2 are great shoes, just wait until you eventually get the Speed 3. It's twice the shoe imo.
Great insight about their shipping decisions! It seems like they really did want to capitalize on the supply issues that other brands were having, then.

Yeah, a lot of companies are going to 18 month-ish update cycles. The Speed 4, and I believe the Pro 4 as well, are not set to release until early 2024.

Saucony won't be releasing shoes yearly, but every 2 years. This means less sales unfortunately.
I very recently bought a pair of Pro 3s direct from Saucony when they had a one-day offer on the Endorphin range - 30% off meant the Pro 3s were £161 rather than £230 - that’s my race shoes sorted for the next 2 years!
I've taken the alternate path of having a pile of Kinvaras and Rides that I've acquired at an average of $50
I paid 165us for the 3s in Mexico and it was worth it. You can get the novablast 3 for 85us down here but the shoes are huge, they look like clown shoes
I do love the 1 and 2s. Was a revolutionary shoe for the books. I like the v3 as well (more stable)but for me the original were the classic. I have heard hints the 4 may be more like the 1 and 2 and the Kinvara pro was to target ppl that prefer the stability of the 3 - but we will find out in 2024.

Here in Indonesia I got two pairs of Speed 3s when it went on a modest sale (us$110-ish).
The 3’s will go on sale. They changed the frequency of release. I believe they will be on a two year cycle going forward. At least for the speed 4.
Well put, and I really feel the same about the Speed 2. I bought them when the price dropped. I loved them so much I ordered 2 more pair. You know what else Saucony did since the 3 series was released? The military & first responder discount no longer applies to the Endorphin line, so full price it is!
I have the Pro 3 for races but use the Pro 2 for my track sessions - I have a second pair of version 2 still in its box ready for when the older pair are no longer doing what they should!
I loved the speed 2, but I bought them late in the game, waiting for discounts etc. Now I can't find them in my size anymore, in my country (both online and especially in stores). So I'm planning to buy the Speed 3. Alas, you are right... the Speed 3 is NEVER on discount. Full price always. Some online resellers even sell them ABOVE normal retail price, and people still buy them. It's crazy!
A few days ago I tried the Adidas Boston 12 on a store and I like it. Seems like it will be as versatile as the endorphin speed series, although not as comfortable.
Now I'm waiting, between the Speed 3 and the Boston 12, whichever goes on significant sale first, I'll buy it 😂!
I had one pair of Speed 1's, two pairs of Speed 2's, two pairs of Speed 3's, and I bought the Boston 12's last week. As you said a bit less comfy but also a nice shoe. I would not choose between the two, get both of them.
Boston 12 have way better outsole if you don't like to soft shoes as me then biston is way to go.. it's my favourite do it all shoe at the moment
I bought a pair of Speed 2s last September for like 60 bucks, then got 2 more during a black Friday sale in addition to the pro 2 and a couppel pairs of the edge 2s.The Pro 2 hurt my feet in a marathon but are ok for shorter distance. The Edge 2 beat the hell out of my feet on easy training days (unless i use a gel cushion... but come on). BUT My Speed 2s have been amazing. Just retired my first pair at 400 miles (6'4, 210 lb runner) and the shoe still looks good, but the foam is not as forgiving as it was. Just took out my last pair to be ready for an upcoming race and it makes me a little sad to not have more in waiting!
I'm desperately hoping the pro 3s go on sale black Friday just in time for CIM. If not I'll be racing in my nearly new pro 2s.
Is this a confessional? I own 3 pairs of speed 3's and 1000's of miles. I am even considering them for Chi marathon and I have a couple "better" super shoes 🤦🏻♂️
From June to August, I was constantly checking all websites for sales on either the Speeds or Pros 3 and....nothing. Come to find out, Saucony pushed out the release date of the 4s to Q1 2024 so we probably wont see prices drop until later in the year. I did get lucky and one of the websites was having a sale on all items - 20% - so I picked up the Pros just in time for my fall marathon.
I fell in love with the Speed 1s (I Have three pairs) and the Speed 2s. They ruined it with the Speed 3 to me.
Discount season only starts in autumn 🍂🍁

The speed 2 didn't work for me so I never went to the speed 3. As a kinvara fan over the years they did the same thing, slight changes over longer period. Loving kinvara 14 and the kinvara pro, but the major suprise was the saucony Axon 3. Don't get the Axon 2 it's not that good, but the Axon 3 is like the the speed 2 but no plate, 4mm drop, wider heel base and a different power run compound and its cheap?

I absolutely HATED the Axon 2 - a stiff, harsh and clunky moonboot - I also prefer the Speed 2 over the Speed 3, love the Kinvara 13 and hestitating for K14... I'm not sure if I'd take the risk with the Axon 3.
I bought some speed 3s on Amazon for 120… it was one pair and they’re special
Had all 3 versions but the 3’s are the best in my opinion. Still as peppy and bouncy as the previous but more stable at slower paces. Not sure how it works in the States but I picked up my pair of 3’s about 6 months after launch from one of our big on line retailers for £115 ( full price £165 here in uk ) though noticed lately that no one is discounting them. My advice .. just pay the full price , for the amount of miles you do in them they’re still very cheap compared to the competition. Ian 🇬🇧

I prefered 1 and 2.. The 3 has lost the top end speed. But lucky I have more v2 stocked up. The v3 is still great though. I never had stability problems in 1 and 2
Speed 3 hardly changed anything??? Did you wear both shoes? Speed 3 is like a completely different shoe. Foam much softer upper much much looser.. Pretty much ruined the speed 2
Try Asics Superblast you may get brain 're-washed"... (also your wallet)

2 and 3 are quite different shoes. I personally prefer 3 more but it's probably because I'm a newer runner.

I started running in may this year and have bought both the saucony endorphin pro 3, triumph 20, xodus ultra 2, hoka tecton x2 and looking at the speed 3 for my father I got them all for a great deal with atleast 25% off. so not sure what this is about....

Can't fault Saucony for making a great pair of shoes and holding price on them. Had all the Endorphins (Shift, Speed, Pros) and the speed3 is certainly a game changing all around shoe. Although-went to my local running shop with the intent of picking up some Speed3's.... and instead I walked out with the Hoka Mach X.
I have 2 pairs of the Speed 3s, one of the pairs I picked up heavily discounted (50%) as I don't think the blue colourway was selling that well in the UK and I also had a discount code with the shop I used. Would I have paid full price for another pair, hell-yes, if my first pair had died. But.....I have over 600 miles in pair 1 and 100 in pair 2. Pair 2 in blue still look brand-new and Pair 1 have some wear on the heel and some upper damage where I was a clutz and tripped! Definitely my favourite shoe.

I bought the 3, 40% discount for the New York. Lumpy at the back of the shoe, feels bad. Other retailers were i live in Bangkok have heavily discounted the NY. Must be quality issue.
Much prefer Mach 5 and Novablast 3.
Seen your video after two month, but I still want to say, I have a lot of great runner friends in China, and the speed 3 has been on sale in China for a while, from 20% off to 40% off, they even have a memo to update the newest low price. It’s a pity that it’s not on sale in your region. Probably too many of you love this pairs so they never worries about using discount to sell more shoes😂
The Speed 3's seem WAY different than the 2's to me. They don't fit my feet right at all - the heels hurts, the tongue is too long and the entire shoe feels too squishy and tall. I do love my Speed 2's, but they're running out of miles. HAHA
I've also "tried on" the Pro 3's at a shop, but since I kinda hate my Speed 3's, I'm definitely not wiling to spend the $ for the Pro 3's, meanwhile, I'm stockpilnig the Pro2's in my size as I find them so I can still have those pretty race day plated ones I really love.
I find the speed 3s on sale often. But the colour choices are never great lol. Good thing I rock pink well 😅

Not going to lie, I disliked the Speed 2 for the first 70 or so miles, nearly sold them, and then they finally clicked. I ended up stockpiling a few pairs of the Pro 2 (unpopular colorway) which was less at the time, but still rolling in the Speed 2s after 300 miles now.

Someone else in the comments said that the Pro 3 is the spiritual successor to the Speed 2. Would you agree with that? I didn’t love the Pro 2 nearly as much as I did the Speed 2.
@@sizemo yea I’d say so. I didn’t really get along well with the fit of the speed 2 tho. The pro 3 pop should last longer too because it’s a carbon plate vs nylon. I never tried the pro 2 but the word is the pro 3 is more flexible and softer comparatively. I had the speed 3 and didn’t care for it but the pro 3 is awesome.
The Pro 2 definitely felt too stiff for me, so the changes seem like good ones for me. I might have to head to the LRS and try them on.
@@sizemo the Pro 3 is an amazing shoe. Version 2 was too rigid, the extra stack in the 3 solved that.
The Endorphin Speed was probably the most uncomfortable running shoe I've ever worn. I had to return them. Sometimes I wonder if I got a defective pair because all I hear from everyone is how incredible they are. But they felt so incredibly unstable. Idk maybe I'll give them another try.
that's OK. It's a great shoe- but everyone's foot is different. Hopefully, you'll find your perfect match out there.
I found them too narrow in the heel too. Anything like a U turn or a wet surface and I felt like my foot was sliding sideways off the sole.
I read the Speed3 are wider, but frankly I cant be bothered with Saucony anymore. I started out with Saucony, moved to Nike, back to Saucony and now I'm with Asics.
Original speed was the worst shoe i’ve ever worn too for the same reasons you stated. The 3 changed all that for me though and it’s probably my favorite I’ve ever worn now.
Lol - you are probably right! My 1s are still OK after I don;t even know how many miles... Have been looking at getting the 3s (a bit more stable apparently, which would be nice...) and there is *nowhere* you can get them discounted. With you - hope they are finally on sale when my 1s finally give up...

speed 3 is my favorite , I had to ditch Boston 11 for training ! Speed 3 n novoblast for training is d best !

Thank you for the feedback! This was my first time with a new mic setup and I didn't get it leveled properly while I was shooting so it was super loud and blown out before I adjusted it. I might have gone a little too far trying to fix it. I'll try to do better in the next video!

I loved the speed 1! Speed 3s are good, but a softer ride and the outsole isn't as good as the original.
Now I kind of want to try the Speed 1!

I got the speed 3 with a discount coupon at a local store. I like them because they are really light. I'm not wild about the overly squishy foam. I also wish the forefoot rocker was stiffer and more pronounced. Nice shoe, but I don't love them.
Great analysis. I don't really see how winning the consumer's favor by releasing an excellent product at a great price point is brainwashing though. Guess I got got by the video title more than I got got by Saucony.
Fair enough, I originally envisioned this video as a jokey tinfoil hat type video and wanted to play on that in the title and thumbnail. The brainwashing aspect was just a funny way to reference that they had us expecting excellent shoes at crazy prices and then the new ones haven't really been sold for less than MSRP yet from what I've seen. I love the shoes and I'm very happy at the price point I got them at!

I really don’t get this sorry. The endorphins are on a 2 year release cycle and brands only really discount shoes before the new ones come out, which is why the 2s were on sale. Why would Saucony discount them at this point? It’s not brainwashing it’s standard practice for most brands. They’re be stupid not to do it.

Not true, they quite often on sale, at least here in Au.. thing is you need to keep looking, and might not be on sale exactly when you need new pair, but if you have couple of pairs in rotation you always have something to run in, and just be patient waiting for sale.. on the other hand i do not have problem with buying full priced shoe if you know it will siuts you perfectly..

yeah... well. the 3 didn't last for me. Rubber worn out in less than 400km (and I weigh 63kg...). Bought three pairs of speed 2's, run to the ground averaging 700-800kk. Not buying a second pair of speed 3's, not even on sale.

I prefer the 2 myself. It’s more bouncy.
I like them, but you right they to soft, just on the edge of softness that i can take, any softer and I won't run in it..

Avoid the 3. They are not good like the 2. Endorphin Pro 3 is very good also as a long distance shoe. Endorphin Elite is amazing for racing. The Speed 2 is one in a kind ❤.
Agree, the pro3 are successor to the speed 2 and the elite is in the niche where the pro2s would be.
