The crazy part is that this whole time Tanjiro was using the most OP breathing form, without even breathing. He was actually so focused in his rage that he burst his blood vessels and he was suffocating himself; surpassing his stamina limit and nearly passing his life limit (aka death).
So while Tanjiro was struggling to breathe. In that scene in the manga the author talks saying that humans have 2 limits. A stamina and life limit. Tanjiro was about to go over his life limit. If his sister Hanako, hadn't told him to breathe he would have died. Also Tanjiros bloody eyes came from immense anger because Daki killed the people so his veins bursted. It was explained that this anger would give a temporary power boost but it had the negative effect of causing tunnel vision so he forgot his pain, blinking and even breathing Also there was a cool line saying "If Humans could harness the power of hatred and anger...then demons would have disappeared from this world a long time ago"

In case you didnt realize, Tanjiro didnt cut her leg. He basically had enough grip strength to hold it as she tore herself away

@@chiymai yeah Daki deflected with the belt and tried kicking him. There’s a tearing sound when she jumps away. Also if you look at her leg in Tanjiro’s hand, it wasn’t a clean cut so it was torn off. He wasn’t gonna let her go lol

They have said that sun breathing is the original and its pretty obvious at this point that "the father" dude is the one who was using it so he was living in the period when breathing were first created so it literally cant be the father assuming that breaths and the demon slayer corps has been around for a long time. I just dont understand why ppl were always saying its the father its the father its the grandfather, back when i was reading the manga before it finished it always annoyed me so much when ppl did that and pretended it was true or proven. Also wearing the same earrings should mean nothing, idk why ppl also associate it with like its the father, its an ancestor etc. just cuz the earrings are the same. Otherwise every person throughout every era in the show who wear the same clothes or accessories would be related. It just makes no sense.
