I was having severe physical problems caused by anxiety near the beginning of the pandemic back in May, and I was playing Animal Crossing in an attempt to calm myself. I walked into Sydney’s house (my fave, she’s sooo adorable) and she was singing along to this...I had never heard it before but I loved it. I stayed and listened for a while and it made me feel a lot better.💜💜

I discovered this song in game completely by accident by misremembering KK Cruisin’s name and requesting Drivin’ instead. He said something like “oh wow you know that one, not many people do”, and then he played this absolute delight. This is the only track I play in my ACNH house now, it’s just so pleasant

Its actually a genre called city pop. It was a genre that was essentially driving music cause driving became more affordable in the 80s in japan
HIGHLY recommend anyone who likes this song look up more City Pop music. The whole genre is fantastic.
