    I agree with the cookbook or cooking vlog! We are from Louisiana and love Arkansas. We make 3-4 trips a year usually. We sold our Harley Davidson last year after MC riding and traveling around the country for around 7 years and purchased a Jeep Wrangler and a Bushwacker Plus tiny camper. Looking forward to camping in Arkansas this fall. Maybe we would be lucky enough to meet up with y’all. Keep the videos coming.

    Thanks you two for sharing this adventure with us. My brothers and I were practically raised in the swamps of South Carolina. Specifically Wateree River , which is a tributary of the Santee River. Located in central South Carolina, the Wateree was named after the now extinct Wateree Native Indians, as was the Santee River, named after the Santee Tribe.

    The second fall is a natural whirlpool called the washing machine complete with a rock bench to sit on. The last hole has a large bluff on river right. We used to dive out of a cedar tree on the top when I was a kid (40 years ago). We Would often see 4ft plus gar. We used to camp out there a lot long before it became a state park. If you are not up for class 5 rapids, 246 bridge to Ed Banks is a great inner tube float when the river is up a couple of feet.

      Thank you for watching! We are not sure, but our Ouray Colorado video really took off, and after that TH-cam sent us a email saying that we would be the next creator on the rise. They placed five of our videos on the front of the TH-cam Trending page for 24hrs. That really helped us out alot. At the current time I (this is Cody) have been working on these vlogs, planning Dome Life events (clean-up, maintenance, and education events), and working to grown our brand. We have our gear at two outfitters right now, and working on growing that into more stores. I am also working to expand our brand into camping gear. It has caused issues with our city/town camping vlogs that we sometimes do because of business being closed. But when it comes to or trips in the forest, we have had no issues at all. For example, we camped near New Orleans last year and did a vlog, but now with everything closed, we are keeping to dispersed camping. Did we add that we cant wait to visit Scotland one day! We want to visit Ireland and Scotland in one of our camping adventure in the future.

    Maybe you've addressed this in previous videos, but I was wondering how the pandemic has affected your camping and your lives outside of camping. Thanks!

    • @CodyandKellie
      @CodyandKellie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Good question. No we have not covered it. It never affected our camping because we normally disperse camp in National Forest. However, we live in Little Rock, Arkansas. In the city, we were affected. Kellie had to stop working, (and when I was an accountant) I had to work from home. All our businesses are open now, but require a mask. However, when you leave the city limits of Little Rock (or any major metropolitan area like Hot Springs, Fort Smith, Fayetteville, or Bentonville) , you almost don't even know anything is going on in the small towns and rural areas. We completely forget about it until we get back to Little Rock or another major area. Most people out in those areas are living life like they always have and don't even bring it up.

    Hi Guys, thanks for the personnel background stuff. Love it. As for the allergies to dogs. I am also very allergic to dogs (cats, plants, grass, etc.) and also breakout if touched by a dog. However, my love for Dogs is so great, that for many years now I've taken one Zyrtec Allergy pill every day jut so I can have a dog. I also have allergy eye drops. We're going on dog #4. We can't live without them. Also, a good dog to have if you are allergic is a poodle. We've had a standard poodle (the big one) for 10 years now as they do not shed and are great for allergy prone individuals. Do some research on them. They were also originally bred by the Germans to be water retrievers so they love to get in the water.. They are also very intelligent. My standard (Roxie) goes fishing with me all the time and tries to eat my lures. Talk to your allergist as there are many allergy medications and they work differently on people. DOG UP!

    • @CodyandKellie
      @CodyandKellie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have the DJI Mavic 2 Pro with the Smart Controller. Really like that controller. It does fly back to where you set the home point at. However, 99% of the time I do not use any of the functions and just fly it myself. I pay attention to the battery life of the drone which i can see on the controller. I also have two extra batteries. Each battery gives me about 30 mins of flight time.

Some channels I watch to give you an idea of what one of your subscribers likes.... venture4wd (everything about that channel is top shelf, especially the audio he captures on location. No channel comes close to his audio skills). Coyote Works ( lots of history in his videos... and he can even make a video and comment on it in real time, in the bush, while his Jeep burns to the ground as he's unloading it...crazy). softroadingthewest has really grown on me, SUV RVing and AdventureVanMan .

    What would you do( have you done) with a bear in or near your campsite?

      When have had two encounters with bears in our campgrounds. The first was at night back in 2016 when Kellie and I first stated camping together. The bear walked past our tent and right over to a cooker that we had left out on the ground. It moved it around, licked on it, then left. Before that encounter we had always placed our trash and food back in our vehicle, but after that, we also placed our cooker in the vehicle.
      The next time was in 2018 during the day. Kellie was taking a nap on one of the green lounge chairs down by water and I was sitting in the water. The bear comes out of the forest behind her. It walks along the tree line behind her never coming any closer and keeps walking until it found another spot to walk back into the forest off the bank.
      All the other bear encounters we have had was us driving and them crossing roads. Here in Arkansas the black bears are very shy and always run away from people.
      So if we had seen one here, we would have just watched it. Now if we had seen a mother and her cub, I would have told Kellie to get in the vehicle, and I would have done the same. You don’t mess with a mother and her cub.
      But we do have bear spray with us just incase the bear ever gets aggressive. Wildlife is unpredictable.

    Kellie, U can have a dog, there R 36 breeds that have hair like a human not like other dogs, I was a Dog Breeder for the 2 big dog breeds that U can have 1 is a Standard Poodle & the other is an Airedale Terriers both breeds R amazing & both have hair not fur. so there is no way fir U to have an allergy to them unless Ur allergic to hair & not fur. Both dogs do require grooming the Airedales R the easiest U can get a hair stripper & do it your self. I used to do R dogs all the time its easy. so if U really want to have a dog check them out.
    The one thing about an Airedales is they have a very strong tolerance to pain do some research on them they R very strong willed as well but they R very Loyal. they were breed back in the day for war, because they could run great distances & get shot @ & get hit ...yet they would keep going from fox hole to fox hole carrier messages & supplies, they used them a lot in WW 2 .
    Now W/Poodles my male weighed 95 lbs so they can get very big, but they require grooming about once every 3 mos. depending on how short U have them clipped & how fast their hair grows.
    So please never feel that U can't have a dog, U just have to pick the right ones like I said there R about 36 different dog breeds out there now that have hair & not fur so Google it & U'll see U have Tons of dog breeds to pick from.......So Pick away...
    There R the Giant Schnauzers, Maltese & many more......
