    I still stand by the fact that Midfakes are still aren't THAT bad. Of course nothing will beat the OG Hasbro and TT MFB stuff, but for the price that you're getting them at, I still think they're fine for just casual collection and battling, at least from the ones that I've gotten. Some midfakes are definitely better than others and it can be a real crapshoot to get a good or bad mold, but as long as you have an idea of what you're getting into when you get one of these, it shouldn't be too big of a deal. Midfakes still get the thumbs up from me, if not not a very cautious one.
    At the very least, I'll still happily take them over anything from Modern Hasbro and especially all of the other fakes.

    Great Video! Yup, main problem with midfakes is that the quality will vary with each Bey. I’ve found while most have much lower levels of lead, it is still present. The difference in quality also applies to plastics used, detailing etc..
    While most can be considered great replicas, some like Meteo L-Drago are just straight up stinkers.
    There’s definitely a lot of due issues with midfakes such as scams, but they’ve enabled a newer audience to obtain something that might’ve otherwise been unobtainable.
    As long as people know what they’re purchasing!

    I have actually purchased a few metal fight midfakes from BeysandBricks. I have had them for a few months and they have shown no signs of damage and actually perform well in battle, beating my hasbro metal beys. It was about $15 for each bey and $4 for delivery. This was actually not bad for what I was getting, especially because the beys perform similar to the original. I have also seen no signs of lead, so I think some midfakes are ok, but I don’t recommend them over hasbro and TT products.

    • @yellowflashgamer5460
      @yellowflashgamer5460 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I've purchased a good amount of their $12-$15 takara tomy beyblades. I haven't tested them for lead but I bought them expecting midfakes. They're most definitely good quality (with the occasional chip in plastic). The unbranded beys are the ones to most definitely avoid on their site which are all $5 or less. The "metal" from they beyblades flake off during battle and assuming they have lead make them quite hazardous to use. The parts from unbranded beys also tend to have horrible mold(shape) issues. Guilty of buying them myself (but throwing them all out recently), the worst offender was duo Uranus. while surprisingly useable the bottom part of the metal frame where the spin track goes was so badly molded that it looked like someone blasted metal with fire and melted a chunk of it off and let it cool. Beyblade Dad I think a great video would be covering a few midfake beys and unbranded ones from beys and bricks specifically would be a great vid especially after this one. Beys and bricks is probably one of the most reliable and affordable bey sellers that put out decent releases that I've seen even while keeping up with current burst releases. But there should also be a good explanation of any dangers that may come from using that site

    As for my knowledge, I know that in Burst and even Metal Fight, the brands S3, Flame, Rapidity, MQ and others are somewhat different companies with same motives. S3, Mq and Flame prioritize cheap burst beyblades, that are kinda durable(I have MQs and S3s, they haven't broke yet) have differences. MQ and S3 has tough plastic, working gimmicks, heck even drivers wearing down! (except for those dual layers S3 sells).
    Rapidity also but has worst quality, but their metal fight's kinda sh***y.
    Flame has rubber, tough plastic, but the rubber are pretty random, with some pretty good, while some just jump off after rounds. Source:Reviews, experience, and MQ vs Flame vs TT(or Flame only, or MQ only) from RAMP Beyblade Hobby videos(specifically those where he tests fakes in battles.)

    • @DragonoidForm
      @DragonoidForm ปีที่แล้ว

      One thing I found out today about another way to tell if a beyblade is a midfake is if the facebolt has a code. Each beyblade parts for Takara Tomy has a 2 character code like A1, E4, D3, and so on. For hasbro, they have a 3 character code like AA3, AA1, and so on. Both midfakes and real beyblade has those codes on each part EXCEPT for the facebolt. The area where the facebolt code is located is too small for TT midfakes to copy, so they essentially skipped putting any code there while their other parts like the fusion wheel and energy ring has the code.
      Checking the 5 character item code below the box and comparing it to the list of real and midfake item codes in reddit is still the best way to know whether your bey is real or fake, but if the code you're looking for isn't there, then the facebolt code thing is another way to check your bey's legitimacy. Another way is to weight the bey and see if it matches or is close to the real beys' weight that you can find online. Checking the rubber's quality, if it has any, is another way to tell if it's real or fake. If you have the Final Drive or Final Survive part from l-drago or pegasus, then check if they have triangle screws or crosshead screws. Hope these helps!

      This is pretty hard to tell, and I don't have too many metal fusion beys. From what I've read, if you look at the fusion wheel (the metal) there should be a mold number like 1A, or so. Also, if it seems to be hollow from the bottom or missing the mold number it may be a fake/ midfake. I have the Takara Tomy versions of Storm, Galaxy, Big Bang, and Samurai Pegasus, but I think they might be midfakes. I just wanted the Takara Tomy MFB beyblades that I always wanted as a kid, but the real one's are so expensive because they were discontinued 10 years ago. One of the worst feelings as a collector is when something I like gets discontinued and the prices for the remaining unopened products skyrocket.

    • @BeybladeDad
      @BeybladeDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your right, it's a way to buy Beyblades for low income households. My gripe is that it's still a money grab, by resellers; remember it's a business for them, and they probably don't have altruistic motives for providing them. Maybe I'm wrong, but I guess it's my take on the whole midfake discussion.
      It definitely is extortion to buy one Hasbro for $150, but at the same time it's because of the low supply, and so the value rises for collectibles. When these midfake Beyblades are made for $3 or less, and being sold for over $20, even $50 with sub par materials it causes this price difference to be more dramatic 🤔 thanks for watching and leaving a comment ✌️
