    My son had a lot of red flags around 2 but with OT and speech therapy those things have dissipated. I feel In my gut if we would have taken him around that time he would have been diagnosed but my husband and I both agreed to give him time and therapy at home and see how he develops. I was terrified of that diagnosis but now I feel it’s just words and if he is then that won’t change anything in how we treat him, he’s perfect and we adore him. We will do whatever needs to be done to help him adapt and grow. Thank you for this video!! Your honesty is always reassuring!

      I think the society is more of a problem, no people are the same, each of us unique. No one behaves in a way that we think is how they should. Yes there are many who need help but most àre not what the society expects to be or what we want them to be. They have different personalities and should not be given a label to say they are not normal because no one is perfect.

      Would you mind adding what red flags were observed and which dissipated? How old is he now and does he still have any indicators?

    I had the opposite experience with my now 6yo daughter. She has some autistic traits (stimming, sensory issues, rituals etc.), but at the same time, she also has good eye contact and good social skills and usually is very neurotypical in unknown places. So whenever I went with her to see specialists they would tell me after 2 min "Hey, don't overthink, go home, you guys are good". Then I managed to get an appointment with one of the most respected psychiatrists in my country (Ukraine) and after good analysis from him (observing how my daughter behaves, and plays, learning some videos from different situations, interviewing with her, interviewing with us as parents) he said: "Mild autism".

      Autism is masked in females. She is most likely trying very hard to fit in by copying other peoples behaviour. Look up Autistic masking. This condition is so misunderstood is not even funny. There is NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING AUTISTIC!

    I was diagnosed with autism at the age of 14. The same kind of thing happened in in the late 90s early 2000. Almost everyone from that crowd has gone on to be undiagnosed. It turns out we didn't have it at all. My friend Kai that I met at an autism basically concentration camp is all I could call this program. Was diagnosed over the phone for displaying apparently neurotypical nothing more than neurotypical behavior and skipping school because he just plain didn't want to go. I was diagnosed because I just plain because I just playing wanted to go to school and wanted to learn. The diagnosis led to the kicking me out of school entirely only going to one class a day. It was a justification to just not have me learn. I have never met a single high-functioning case of autism that didn't later on turn out to be either a highly intelligent student that was being underrepresented in the classroom. Or a perfectly normal kid that just didn't have discipline. The case of my my friend Kai. He went on to live in as far as I know went on to live a normal life in California.and it turned out later that the reason why he was skipping school was because he was a pot smoker. If we were willing to say this kid has autism because they're on the wacky tobaccy. And and the the reality is that the kid is literally on a drug that's making the behave weird. Then this means then this that that alone is is reason enough to doubt the entire diagnostic criteria.😅 I laugh at the so-called expert and feel pity that they feel such a need to look smart without actually studying a real thing they could have gone and learned math or science or some stem field and proven themselves to actually be intelligent. But no they had to choose psychology which is basically we're stupid people go that weren't smart enough to get into an engineering field.

    In my opinion for 2-4-year-old even if you suspect child has autism (he/she might not have it) treat it like Autism, rule out other problems like hearing impairment first. At worst you will burn some money, have many sleepless nights, but on the bright side you would be intervening early and if he/she had autism you might have a huge positive impact on his/her life.

    My daughter was heavily raised on iPad/electronics first 3 years (up to 7 hours a day) and it totally delayed her speech/language. Now at 5 she’s been going to speech therapy and has improved but her speech therapist noticed last month she had mild echolalia (she said only sometimes but not frequently) but made note of it and it surprised me because my daughter stopped repeating when she was improving her speech by the time she was 4 1/2. It stresses me out I honestly think it’s virtual autism side affects. She’s very smart and I taught her reading by the time she was 4 (with flash cards and books) and she can read and write in first grade level. However, she kind of talks like a 3 year old (she has a baby brother) I don’t know if it’s because he’s getting the attention. However, she’s made amazing progress since 2021 when she started speech therapy. I think my daughter kind of repeats when she’s distracted when someone is asking her a question. Does very minimal echolalia at 5 mean autism? She’s cognitively and socially smart

    My son was diagnosed with DLD at 1y10m and ofcourse there’s still worry of autism. Asd is quite a difficult word for parents.. because it will open you up to a degree of uncertainty.. specially in the country like ours wherein theres little to no support from govement for kids with special needs. We’re grateful that we are able to provide everything our child needs and more.. and he’s really doing good. Our OT usually say to me that don’t mind the diagnosis it’s just a label.. but to be honest as much as i try not to.. the fear won’t go away.

    It seem ASD is now a blanket diagnosis for some degree of delayed or misbehavior of a child. ASD is crushing diagnosis for any parent. We don’t want that label for our kids. However, you are right Ming, early intervention & helping ASD children to cope & adapt is the reason for these therapies. And so true, With ASD dx children has more resources & services offered.

      Also what does the what this guy study is actually a bad . Once your kid grows up and they've suffered all the problems and the s*** has already hit the fan. Don't they will get undiagnosed if they were not low diagnosis for if they were not nonverbal to begin with you didn't have speech problems to begin with. They will get undiagnosed when they're when they're when they're an adult it will be too late. Autism by and large unless you are severely autistic in which case you could tell by just looking at them because they won't be able to talk or won't be able to use full sentences. This is why I'm making up a new diagnosis to call all autism scouters.😅 I call it boomerang boomerang boomerang. It's just like these psychiatrists it's when someone was not smart enough to go into a real scientific field by a stem field like math or physics. Self honest enough about their own stupidity or that they did not have the IQ points in the self-honesty to say maybe I'll go into the arts play painting. And they didn't have the stones to just drop out of college knowing that they weren't smart enough.😅 And they did not have the humanity to realize the people they're hurting. So they just make a f****** diagnosis to call everybody not carrying that these diagnosis have no scientific evidence to their existence on brain scans no backing up or repeatability to their experiments at all. They're just making terms up boomerang boomerang boomerang boomerang. That's what you have Mr diagnostic good speech pathologist. I'm looking just right at you judging you you have boomerang boomerang boomerang I am sorry I am absolutely sorry there is no known cure you're going to have to wear this label for the rest of your life and if you ever get rid of it it will be after whoops I'm sorry we ruin your life and pumped you full of all kinds of medication that didn't work because you didn't actually have what we said you had and it made you f****** worse. I am sorry you're going to have to take thorazine you're going to have to take poison I'm going to have to give you lead and arsenic mixed together with some horse dung to get your boomerang boomerang boomerang under control.

      Here's the problem with the autism in the lesser extent the ADHD diagnosis are really any diagnosis. People most of these people simply just don't want to be at school. Were they want to be at school and you're not letting them be at school. Either way making excuses for apparently just bad behavior or delayed behavior. Usually the fault of parental problems or being from a broken or dysfunctional home. Looking at somebody and just saying I think you've got boomerang boomerang boomerang.😅 In case you don't know this is this joke that I've said about boomerang boomerang boomerang. Boomerang boomerang boomerang is not a real disorder. But neither is is autism especially not a real disorder nor is any other psychoactive disorder. Girl just need to learn to take responsibility for their behavior take responsibility for their children and raise their children correctly. The real problem is that nobody's around to take care of the kid there's no nanny teaching these kids correctly and those nannies are raised on this toxic therapy culture and toxic medicine culture. Reality is this boomerang boomerang boomerang joke illustrates how easy it is to make up a fake diagnostic by creating diagnostic checklists that take random behaviors that have nothing to do with one another God has nothing to do with mental illness and just invent a diagnosis. This is exactly even to the historical previous diagnosis that used to be autism on autism today this is how the science is this fake science is. It's not science to simply make up criteria and then throw people into those boxes when you just made those boxes up. Was science in math the box is either largely or entirely just exist in nature we didn't invent the world or science or math we discovered it. What you have all you have done is you've invented diagnostic criteria to judge otherwise normal but miss raised children. And that is insidious and there is a special place in hell for you.

    • @georgekaknes
      @georgekaknes 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The problem with this diagnosis that makes most scientists such as myself you know the people in the stem Fields not take it seriously. Is is that anyone can create diagnostic criteria. The reality is children misbehave because parents don't aren't around to take care of them people no longer grown big families and I hate to say it I'm going to sound like a huge baby here but I don't really care and I don't really care what you think about me in this case because I know. Women or somebody else are not staying home to make sure kids aren't getting into trouble. That kid is not misbehaving in kid because it at school because he has autism he is misbehaving because like all kids he wants to stay at home and bake cookies and play. Kids are meant to want to go to school you have to force them to go to school. They don't have autism they just plain don't want to go to school.

    • @georgekaknes
      @georgekaknes 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm going to change my diagnostic criteria just a bit because autistic researchers change the entire diagnostic criteria to fit whatever thing they want to force people to believe so he here's the DSM tray revision 2 of boomerang boomerang boomerang disorder. The pathological belief that normal human behavior such as not wanting to go to school is an autistic or psychiatric disorder. There's no known cure you have to take poison mixed with horse dung in order to cure it it's the only it's the only known cure for my fake disorder. It's I'm also going to make up that its genetic and say that I found jeans that I have not found because I've never done an experiment but this is common in psychiatry so I can get away with boomerang boomerang boomerang disorders medication is basically flat out poison and poop of a horse. And don't forget the the secret ingredient Komodo dragon sperm so basically I jacked off a Komodo dragon play we know you're stupid we know you'll give it to your kid anyway. Don't forget that all this stuff is poisonous it'll cause your kid brain damage but we know you're stupid we know you'll follow everything I say cuz I'm an expert because I say I am play all experts on psychology and psychiatry I'm an expert because I say I am. I'm an expert because I can make up a bunch of phony diagnostic criteria instead of holding kids accountable for their misbehaving actions.instead of blaming societal issues that are causing kids to stress I'm just an oversensitivity is and whatnot caused by normal things like problems with their diet caused by rampant poverty and that causing disease I'm going to make s*** up and say it's a congenital disease because I don't care about you and I don't care about your kids and I don't care about your feelings because I'm a psychiatrist welcome to psychiatry a******

    I’m extremely worried about a false positive for my speech delayed son… my son’s teacher has said he’s concerned with my son’s comprehension levels and as well as a few other things it sounds like he might be trying to soften me up to eventually come out and say he thinks he has autism or something similar. I have spent many many MANY hours researched and whilst there’s some similarities with adhd or something due to his behaviour, he does not fit the criteria and does not act that way consistently (it usually depends on the time of day / if he’s tired etc). Basically his attention and comprehension levels are more in line with the age/level he is currently speaking at (like a toddler), rather than his actual age, but from what I’ve read this is normal and is not an indication of adhd or autism
