    Played with this a bit at Moogfest .. definitely an impressive and innovative piece of kit. Good quick demo of its features and ease of use.

      It's too expensive though, for what it is...

    Huge Roli fan since a friend got one. Is the iPad going directly into a speaker? What kind of cable is the one that's going out of the iPad?

      This is long overdue lol but it's a typical audio jack to quarter-inch plug, probably hooked straight to an amp.

    Has anybody tried these with arranger or workstation keyboard?

    Hello, on the roli site it says that the songmaker kit comes with a live block, not a loop block. Is there a way to select one of the two?

    This ROLI stuff is very fancy and stuff, but it's extremely overpriced for what it is...

      You must not understand all it can do

      Nah but it's more expensive that a regular keyboard. Also its not for everyone, it's fun to play with but for professional use it's only for some people.

      @@MrVleker can't say people will use this for pro use. You have less control over your arm muscles than you do twisting knobs and faders. This is cool and all, but not the most practical to use in production.

    • @MrVleker
      @MrVleker 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ducminhduong9873Depends, I'd rather go for a Rise 49 for professional use but the keys are very similar and with practice I'm sure you can use this as well.

    • @ducminhduong9873

      @@MrVleker no one says it's impossible. It's just impractical due to the lower level of control you have over pitches and effects. This is more for impromtu performances I feel.

    Great nothing

    Great if you want to create generic tracks with zero personality. Millenials will love it

      You are a typical frustrated musician with technology passing them by, out of touch and very bitter about it. It would be hilarious to see Jordan Rudess with his Roli Seaboard and "generic tracks" go against you with an instrument of your choice. Show us a video, musical genius .. aaaand silence.

      Personality and musicality is 90% or more the human and 10% or less the tool being used.✌🏾

      @TonyByte 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@truthmanifestingtruth Agreed .That's the point. A great musician can use these tools / instruments to express that personality and musicality. Two things can be true at once: 1. You are a great musician with personality and musicality. 2. You own these instruments and make great music with them.

      @@TonyByte list me a musician using this as their main rig. Even Jordan jams with his trusty analog synths for serious occasions. Look up his studio tour. He has a smaller studio just to jam, and the seaboard is simply in his keyboard storage room with around 30 more of his keyboards. And Jordan had a hand in creating the Roli products. At this point, impossible to tell if it's a gimmick. One thing for sure, musicians are not digging this.

      @@TonyByte you ignored my question and mask your irrelevance with a chunk of rambling. List me one musician that uses this as his/her main rig. MY take is that if even the CREATOR of the seaboard does not use it as his main rig, there is no reason I should and in fact, no one uses it. Search wildly on the internet. You won't find a single musician who converts to this. Which goes to show this is by no means a new standard. It's a niche novelty and sometimes, clueless people like you mistake them for groundbreaking innovation. I'm here to pull you back to reality. There is a reason why their next product is an RGB keyboard. The 5D thing of theirs are not too hot right now and they would like a refresher. Not to say it's a bad product, good or bad is subjective. OP has a fair point on his own
