    A treasure! I had the wonderful good fortune to sing with her as a member of the Ottawa Gay Men's Choir at the National Gallery Auditorium in Ottawa in celebration of World AIDS day awareness.
    She gave us all a tip, because before rehearsal she was chewing on a huge wad of gum - and the reason, she said, was because it kept the mouth and throat lubricated with saliva. And so we sang Schubert's 'An die Musik'.
    I still remember a friend coming up to me afterward and saying 'What happened?' I asked, 'What do you mean what happened?' He said that we sounded glorious as the choir accompanying Maureen, that we had never sounded more wonderful. I say it was all due to Maureen - she made us sound great.

    aJEsuisune Montréalaise et j'ai eue l'occasion de la voir sur scène ..Pour nous québécois et canadiens , Maureen Forrester possède une voix divine,et nous en sommes très fiers. Mance Lecomte. Mer ci !Maureen de nous avoir fait vivre des moments de pure bonheur.

      Et pour nous les "non canadiens" elle a également une voix divine et un talent hors norme :).

    I'm surprised based upon her singing voice that her speaking voice is like a young soprano

      It surprises me too, but it happens! Delphine Galou is another example, whereas Nathalie Stutzman's speaking voice is dark and manly like her singing voice.
