    You should consider writing a book or teaching a course on How To Review a Product on TH-cam. Seriously.
    Yours are without peer. Well-organized and thought-out, including plenty of information, but not stretching into repetition and boredom. Home run every time. A+

    Great review. Just came across this channel recently and I really like how informative and descriptive you are. Also, your production quality is great. I hate videos where the audio is terrible and it is very easy to hear and understand you. Great videos!

    They look like a nice option for the price. I too like the hidden pocket. Shows they are willing to put in some features that take a little more in manufacturing, then not charging for it. The finish looks great. Thanks for adding in the sizing info.

    Great review! I think you could do great reviews of just regular clothing with your attention to detail. I can tell these are made extremely well. Your weight loss is most noticeable in this video, btw so good job!

      +traderjoes Thanks! I always try to go into detail on these type of reviews in order to provide viewers with as much information as possible. Yeah, I've been able to drop some pounds over the past few months. Over the past few years my doctors were doing variations to my medications, which was not helping with my weight. Things have been settled for the past several months and I have also put myself on a calorie limit to help lose that weight.

      +Geordie Prepper The discreet pockets are awesome. I wish all of my pants had them.

    I really like the cut of the front pockets. Particularly how they have a nice horizontal section at the bottom of them for hooking the pocket clip of your knife, flashlight, key keeper, multi tool,etc. on. That looks like it will keep that piece of gear pointed vertically on the pocket and not angle in; giving you more usable room in your pocket.

    Hey Urban Prepper, I got a SOG tactical belt about a month ago and it works great. I got mine at walmart for somewhere around 18 or 20 bucks, I can't quite rember but anyway I saw that they had it in black and tan I got tan to go with my tan t cargo pants, you should get black for your pants. Im pretty shure you can get it on Amazon for around the same price.

    My Vertx pants shrunk in the wash A LOT. A full size for sure. I like Tru-Spec and 5.11 better. I have had all three for at least for a year and a half of use and all are still in great shape.

    I'm still checking out reviews of this pants after many years after launch and hard to find in my size now. I like the classic Chino style with wide and straight legs but a little bit dislike of the low waist. Overall still very fascinating pants than the current slim fit style of Vertx.

    Which season are the pants suitable for? Can it resist winter cold in December? I have W-32 L-32 as normal size. Should I bump up to W-34 or can I stick with W-32?

    I've been looking for some cargo pants. I'm currently between this exact same model and one of ScotteVest's.
    Since I'm taking a personal uniform approach -a single outfit everyday-, I'll probably end up deciding in favor of SeV's, since they can be used in more formal occasions. However, I like the external cargo pockets of the Vertx pants (and other brands), because I can have easy access to its contents even when I'm sitting - my main complaint about regular jean-cut pants is just how difficult it is to take anything out of any of the pockets when I'm sitting, especially in the car (with the seatbelt on).

    The foundation of my EDC is the 5.11 Tact pant with two knife/cellphone pockets. The left knife pocket carries the SOG Trident in Black TiNi with the seatbelt cutter. The knife is set up for left hand carry and is so light that it went through the wash twice and the drier once. The right side pocket carries the Leatherman PST in the leather case. The pant is held up with the SOE EDC belt in black on black with the Cobra Belt Buckle. Wear the pant at helping around the business property cutting the twine on bales of hay with the seatbelt cutter (do not need to open the knife to be useful). And on a short trip on the last week of March to Port Aransas, Texas that has a great beach and a channel for fishing and watching the oil tankers coming in from the oil platforms. Nearby is docked the second largest drill platform in the gulf and Corpus Christi, Texas has the USS Lexington CV-16 aircraft carrier on display for self guided tours... Thank you for the video ! tjl

    I used to use woolrich elite discreet pants which came in winter and summer weights, now I mostly wear the Duluth Trading Co. stuff, its the most versatile and durable stuff on the markket as far as I'm concerned. Cheers

    Great video. Since I work as a Chemical Tech, I tend to wash my pants at least twice a week. I eventually end up buying new pants within a year, due to the amount of washing and drying. I think these pants may take a better beating than my Current brand.

      +TheFlyingotto The shirts in this video were some Old Navy long sleeve nits. I think I paid $10 for each one. Affordable and I like how they look.

    Thanks for sharing! How would you compare the fit with a pair of Levis?

    • @TheUrbanPrepper
      @TheUrbanPrepper  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Pedro Uriartte Thanks for watching! I think Levis will have more give than the Vertx and are less loose on the legs. I'm not sure what style Levis you use, as there are many variations. With my jeans, they will stretch out over time. These tactical pants stay fairly consistent with their shape and fit.

    • @Graymanone

      I've had bad luck with TrueSpec. Not sure if the 24-7 are more durable? The others didn't last very long on a normal security job of walking and getting in and out of a vehicle.

    • @rickastley4041
      @rickastley4041 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tru specs stitching is terrible and durability is questionable. 5.11 strykes are great for daily duty use and their apex are phenomenal for every day wear. I have the VERTX recon pants for tactical shooting drills and camping/hiking

    • @TheUrbanPrepper

      I don't typically wear tactical pants because they "look" like tactical pants, which breaks the whole gray man approach. Functionality, tactical pants are awesome though.
