I'm looking through a lot of review videos of this and similar other products, yours is the most thorough review so far. I wish the other reviews showed this much.
thank for this comprehensive review. Am i correct that the knocking sensor means that you have that big thing on the outside? So in my case I can't have that the condo may complain More importantly my nieghbours are sllamming their front door and it's next to mine. Do you happen to know if any camera can record audio? so I can have video/audio evidence of them doing it to show management?
I'm in a condo that voted no cameras, but I would still like a peephole camera that looks like a simple peephole. Have you found anything like it? I've been searching, but no luck so far.
I've moved house and no longer using this at moment. I seem to remember it is possible, but the transfer speed is so slow that I don't even want to bother.
Hi Sir, my current peephole is 15 mm. Does it affect any function ifI install the 12 mm peephole Brinno? Is there a way of filling up the 15 mm hole to 12 mm? Thank you
Hey, thanks for the vid! Just wanna ask if it's possible to install just the peephole viewer without the motion sensor parts? I supposed the peephole viewer fits the regular hdb door just fine?
If you don't want to use motion sensor, it's probably cheaper to get one that doesn't come with the motion sensor. If there is a motion sensor and you don't want to use it, just remove the battery for the motion sensor.
No night vision. It's the same quality you get from taking photos with a phone at night. It's not too bad. Faces can still be seen, just with more night-quality image noise.
I can't remember the distance exactly. Maybe 1.5 m away? Anyway, the battery in my motion sensor has ran out and I haven't replaced it yet. So I'm just using it as a deterrence.
Excellent review very detailed! but I was wondering: Do you think it would work outdoors? meaning if this would endure weather conditions such as sun or rain, etc... thank you in advance and sorry if I misspelled something
@@teohontech7141 Thanks for your reply, so I guess the screen isn't weatherproof either because my front door is completely outside the house so everything would be exposed to weather conditions including the screen, thanks again for the review!
Thank you for this review! I was almost sold on this, but the fact that the bulky motion sensor is needed for the unit to automatically take photos rules it out for me. My apartment complex doesn't allow visual changes to the outside of our doors without board approval. Do you know of any other cameras that solely replace the peephole with no other exterior items needed?
There's Brinno SHC500 but that has no motion sensor. So everything's behind. But it's kinda pointless unless you have difficulty seeing through your original peephole
@@rylar4663 actually mine also not allowed, but due to the changes no need extra work, only replace existing peephole, the management not disallow it. But not sure at his apartment though.
There's no video recording. And that's okay because think about how you're going to watch through all those video footage? The motion sensor is very sensitive but not perfectly accurate so sometimes it may record nothing. Scanning through photos is way faster. Not sure about your LAN question. You can download photos from the unit to your phone while you're out, and there's live view too while you're out.
@@teohontech7141 thank you. Are you aware of any Peephole IP camera that actually records? I only know the Ring peephole camera but for some reason, it's not sold here in Europe only in the US
This is the most awful investment ever My camera used 4 batteries every couple days This is terrible for the ecosystem Plus you never have consistent control or confidence that will it help to caught the crime in it. …. Don’t ever buy obe
agreed, way too expensive for lack of features, and poor battery life even with high capacity rechargeable batteries and lower power consumption settings, better off purchasing any other door peephole camera with lithium rechargeable battery, HD video, live video, doorbell and two way talk.
Works fine for me so far, including the motion sensor. Battery life is perhaps 2 months and using rechargeable battery isn't too much of a hassle. You can buy much bigger memory card.
Yeah, it's quite expensive. Initially I though not being able to record video is a downside but upon reviewing the photos, I realise that reviewing photos is much faster than videos. Because with photos, you can look at them at a glance, while you have to scrub through with videos. After using this for a few weeks, it works quite well. But it's really quite pricey.

The suspicious Lego visitor was a nice touch. Your review was more helpful than the company’s product description as well.
I'm not quite sure yet if I'm gonna buy this very item, but I have to say that it was an excellent review.
Thank you for the comprehensive review, so helpful!

Any review on Ezviz Doorbell (Doorviewer) DP2 2K?
Thank you but more importantly can I use the live view from my iPhone ? And occasionally check to see the outside. ?
I've moved house and no longer using this at moment. I seem to remember it is possible, but the transfer speed is so slow that I don't even want to bother.
Great video. Where do I get the “black” peephole instead of the gold?
How does the wifi work? Can you do live view on your phone without the motion sensor?
I don’t use the live view so I can’t say much
Hi Sir, my current peephole is 15 mm. Does it affect any function ifI install the 12 mm peephole Brinno? Is there a way of filling up the 15 mm hole to 12 mm? Thank you
You can tighten the front and back of the device and this should prevent any movement with the smaller lens.
Good Job !
Many Thanks From Belgium !

Nice video. What functionality does the viewer have without the sensor? Does it still record? Kind regards.
Your review was done very well. Thank you
Thanks for the review! How does it handle a not so good lighting environment? Does it have some kind of night vision? or light enhancer?
No night vision. It's the same quality you get from taking photos with a phone at night. It's not too bad. Faces can still be seen, just with more night-quality image noise.
Hi. Whenever there is an activity be it knock or motion, are you able to select live view upon receive an notification? Thank you.
Motion detection and photo record happens in background. There is no notification.
how long the battery last? one month?? or less thank you
Hi Teoh on Tech, may I ask what is the sensitivity of the motion sensor? Can it be calibrated such that it does not take photos of the neighbours?
I can't remember the distance exactly. Maybe 1.5 m away? Anyway, the battery in my motion sensor has ran out and I haven't replaced it yet. So I'm just using it as a deterrence.
Excellent review very detailed! but I was wondering: Do you think it would work outdoors? meaning if this would endure weather conditions such as sun or rain, etc... thank you in advance and sorry if I misspelled something
If you need it weather proof, you cannot install the motion sensor since it's not waterproof. All other electronics are behind the door.

is it has motion sensor for realtime vdo record when someone pass the door
Only photo recording. This does not record video in any situation

As long as there is movement, it will continue to take photos every few seconds
