I love you too.The project you have ,to sew for disadvantaged children is such a good idea because I don’t know what to make with my extra pieces of fabrics.
Mari, so sorry for your loss. You are such a generous, kind-hearted person. I can't wait to see what you have to offer for the coming year in making dresses. I want to sew more for these little girls, too. Thank you for all you do.
Mari, I am sending you love and prayers for you and your family. My mother and my cat died in Jan, my father in law died in July. We have attended eight funerals so far this year. PDAG helped me cope. Joy, sorrow, angst, hope....it is all part of the circle of life. Find the joy. You are a treasure.
He wore it all the time! I made them in several different colors, then when he lost his hair, I made him leather flat caps that would keep his noggin warm. He was always bragging about how his daughter made the best hats by hand.

Very sorry for your loss. It’s so hard losing loved ones. One thing that has helped me through close losses twice is an idea I totally discounted the first time I heard it suggested. I learned when I tried writing a letter to the loved one I’d suddenly lost, that it truly helped. I still felt the grief, but it helped me begin to believe I could accept it and move forward.

Oh gosh. What a tough time for you, too. Well, let me tell you how much I can relate to not wanting to learn from critical people. My dad is fluent in Spanish and I refused to speak Spanish around him for the longest time because he'd say things like, "Speak to me in English. Your Spanish is so bad." LOL. He's also a musical genius on the guitar but one lesson in and I was done. Personally, my approach to garment sewing is flexible. We aren't going to fret over mistakes but we'll learn creative ways to make it all work. Seriously, some of my favorite garments to wear were the ones where I made a mistake and had to figure out a work around. We're gonna have a blast sewing and learning.
Sorry for your loss, may his memory be a blessing always. Speedy healing to you. My local quilt shop is collecting dresses currently s i am still sewing

I’m so sorry for your loss. Although I’ve only been sewing for a year, this community is so welcoming and I know they are all sending love and support during this time. Love the idea of a membership and looking forward to expanding my skills.
We're going to have a wonderful time. Are there any skills in particular that you'd like me to add to the list?
@@MariSews it would be great to learn more techniques to stitch knit hems and necklines. I’m also interested in learning ideas to combine knits and wovens in the same garment.
Condolences to your family.

Sorry for your loss, your ideas are fantastic. I struggle with bias binding. Mine is always bulky.
Got ya. I'll definitely do a dress with lots and lots of bias binding so that we can all get lots of practice.
You are in my 💜 heart. So very sorry for the loss of your FIL October 5. 😢the story about the roller coaster (no way!!! I am one of 6 girls @ my grandfather dropped off a crazy rickety roller coaster to us. We were all little ). So fun. Memories definitely keep our loved ones in our hearts. Hope you are healing up well. (Just had a septum repair surgery yesterday 10/18). Mwah to you. Yes love all your ideas. Especially the intimate zoom
Oh, and I hope you are recovering well from the repair. That sounds insane!
@@MariSews healing ❤️🩹 up from my septum repair isn’t as much fun as it’s cracked up to be. Little to no pain (so grateful) I can’t breathe better just yet (Monday October 28th I get my splints out!!! Yay!!!)

Much obliged 😊
I would love to learn how to make a RUFFLE!
I’ve got you! Maybe we’ll explore different ways to make both flounces and ruffles.
I'm so sorry to hear about your father in law.😢
Thank you
I have been struggling with collars for button down blouses. I'd be open to a live if you are
Got it. I'll add collars with and without collar stands to the list.

Kristi! They were always doing something crazy together from unknowingly playing in poison ivy to setting up their own death traps. I've got lots of funny memories with those two.
