I like the fact that you switch off and you both are doing it. What a beautiful young welder she is. Your welds will hold much better if you clean the rust from both surfaces.

You can add a support underneath the tube running side to side with a spacer in the middle to help keep the arch if you need to. Looks good, can't wait to see more..

I’ve thought about buying a shipping container for a make shift workshop but I live in a restricted neighborhood and I’ve been here since 1984 and don’t know how my neighbors would accept it because I’d have to have it for a while until I can get a new building put up! It sure is! I will say that MIG welding is easier, but more work with the machine. If you can find a good price on welding machine for stick welding you should learn that!

Good video. Probably a good idea to wear safety glasses when you’re wire wheeling your welds or if you are using an auto shade helmet, flip your hood down while buffing welds.

I live in the panhandle of Texas and sometimes we do not (not don"t because that will not relay the urgency of needing it now) have the time to truly prep the surface completely, like someone sheltered in a controlled environment, in order to complete the task at hand. If you are a welder than you know what I am saying. These two rods EAT and BITE. BTW I am a certified welder, teacher, and have been doing this for over 30 years. With that said I am proud to recommend your channel to all of my students. You will never achieve your true potential, if you never remove the ceiling you put above you. In the opening scenes with little Ladly stepping out of the container looking so cute and her with her gloves etc. was adorable. She is so adventerous and cute; the apple sure doesn't fall far from the tree. The squirrels are sure growing and coming into their own, it's fun to see. The MCRH mfg center was functioning like a well oiled machine. I like how you share in the work and welding responsibilities, makes it all go smoothly and it's nice to see and watch. I've come to the conclusion that there isn't anything you cannot do, and do well, Lydia. You are awesome. I thought it was great when you guys prepped and painted the Relocation Hootis black and the crown jewel was The Ultimate Hootis sticker 😉 it was perfect. I enjoyed when you were both talking and in the backgroud you could hear a starter cranking; then Ladly riding past on the 4X ... I laughed out loud. I loved the ending scene and music with Jim standing proud and tall, with the flag, on the MCRH as it slowly moved by. Very dramatic and awesome; you guys are so creative and fun. Is that stick welding pretty simple to learn? I want to do some welding on my own container for solar panel brackets and such.
