Hello, dear friend, I did what you said, it seems that the game has a problem with the menu itself, and every time you open and close the menu a few times, it Frame drops , which is terribly annoying. I think the only solution to this problem is to delete this occupied game., I did not expect Ubisoft to deliver such an occupation to people

To summarize: 1) go into .exe properties, turn off full screen optimization 2) turn off Microsoft game mode If issue persists: 3) ctrl alt del, open task bar, then minimize And/or 4) disable HD textures in game menu I’ll try these out tomorrow evening and reply back with my findings. I started the game up for the first time ever tonight, and was a bit disappointed when I experienced the FPS drop issue. I’m also not very impressed with the graphics when compared to Far Cry 5. Even with the excessively large HD texture pack enabled, I’m certain that overall, Far Cry 5 had better textures. Easiest, most obvious comparison would be tree bark. Anyway, a workaround I found in my first play session was to exit to main menu and load back into the game - but that’s BS. Can’t use that workaround if in the middle of a mission because progress would be lost.
I forgot to follow up. Sorry to anyone that was curious. After doing steps 1 and 2, I haven’t had the issue since then. That fixed it. Also, I eventually ended up turning HD textures off and uninstalling. In 1080p, the game ends up looking better without them, in my opinion. I know that sounds stupid, but it’s true. Another note. I’m using SMAA instead of TXAA (I think that’s what it’s called) because with the latter, swaying grass has a very noticeable smearing effect. It also seemed to be blurring a bit too much, even fighting with Radeon Sharpening (which I have at 50 for this game). I’m running a 5700xt with a 3700x, 1080p at Ultra Settings. Average FPS for me is 115. In rare cases, I get around 85-90. Indoors, I usually get the 144.
And I’m still a tiny bit disappointed that Far Cry 5 clutter and bark is superior. Still, having a good time and thinking it may become my favorite in the series, as long as it doesn’t bombard me with woke BS. Far Cry 4 wins out with the animal skin crafting and general progression of unlockables. Far Cry 5 wins out with the most immersive world, attention to detail, companions, and weapon selection/customization. Far Cry 6 winning out with satisfying world activities, sheer content - most everything else…but I’m not a huge fan of how they forced what should have been character perks into the supremos. But man, I love the handicap weenie dog amigo (Chorizo?)
Even more of my thoughts (bored): Im very impressed at how this game is utilizing my 5700xt. The usage is constantly at 95-100%, yet the temps are very very low…I haven’t experienced that before in any other game that was fully utilizing the GPU. A negative for this game is that it made me realize how bug free the other games were in comparison. Sometimes my mini map stops displaying roads/buildings. Sometimes the sound becomes unbalanced…like vehicle motor is almost completely silent, or the artifacts stop making the vicinity sound, or a NPC voice is very loud from the side but super quiet directly in front of me, etc. Upon death, I’ve been respawned unable to move twice now. Upon clearing an enemy area, the cutscene of the place getting converted to guerrilla decorations never occurs, the screen remains black, and I have to restart (happened twice).
I've noticed this as well. It overall is poorly optimized. I spent more time trying to get it to work than playing it. After I uploaded this video I uninstalled it. Never again Ubisoft.
I have Far Cry 6 and it has a bug, that is, after doing fast travel a few times, the frame drops very much, and the game frame drops from 60 to 11. My system has no problems and everything is updated. I really don't know why. Ubisoft has delivered such a nonsense game to the gaming community
Their goal is $$$. Not the passion in their work or the customers experience. Too bad cause it seemed like it could have been a good game. Gave me a very similar feel to far cry 3. Still my favorite.

I recommend to turn off any boost of the pc settings for people who still didn't work, like turn off overclocking of your GPU and CPU, everything on default. Note: It worked for me with Windows 11. hey man thanks for the help disabling the HD Textures was the result but with scale resolution 0.7 on my nitro 5(GTX 1650) is very playable and 32 GB RAM completly "Bypass" the menu fps drop and game fps drop in general(i did play for 10 hours) and was not necessary to disable game mode and the full screen optimization just the scale resolution was suficient

i uninstalled the game the moment it dropped fps because i had this suddent realization that Ubisoft are complete morons and can't release games that aren't unfinished... So i left to dry, this video however made me reinstall and it now works, been on my library for 8 months, thanks for this
so i m IT and vulkan + the old mapping system of the textures are fucking up with the game most of the part is like conflict between the video card and the game and alot of stuff can make it worst or trigger the problem to happen thats why there so much people saying its the MSI , the windows overlay , and other stuff but in real its just the vulkan but sadly farcry 6 dont offer a way to dont use it so we are forced to workaround its 2022 amost 2023 and the problem still there
Didn't solve frame drops I am getting. The game starts just fine on about 90 fps with ultra settings but drops tp 20 fps whenever I am opening in game map (Tab shortcut). Once done the dropped frame remain as is unless I'm re-opening the game. Frustrating!!

Zaman geçtikçe video memory şişiyor ve ekran kartının vram limitini aşınca da ekran kartını doğrudan devre dışı bırakıp onboard ekran kartını kullanmaya başlıyor. Bu oyun özelinde; diğer tüm ayarlar full olsa bile en üstteki texture filtering yani doku filtreleme ayarını en düşüğe alınca bu sorunu yaşamıyorsun.

I sort of wonder (I'm one of the old(er) gamers who started gaming in the 1980s) why I have 27 fps and drops to 13fps on a Core i5-14600K/32gb DDR4 PC3200 XMP/RTX2060 OC machine. I know that 6GB VRAM is on the lower end, but hey, I also play Satisfactory (Ultra settings on a 29 inch UltraWide), BF2042 (Maxed out settings), Cyberpunk 2077 (High settings, this game is way heavier than FC6). Lets see what you can tell us and help out with.
Unfortunately with everything I've "investigated" it seems like this game like most Ubisoft games is just poorly optimized. One of the things I noticed when this frame rate drop happens is that the GPU usage shoots to 100% and stays there until rebooting the game. Along with this I found right before the frame drop issue happens I get several IN GAME alerts about insufficient memory available. But there is no specific trigger. I can game for an hour or for 12 minutes seemingly at rand I'll get the alert and then shortly after the frames dump on me.
@@T-Rider92 Yep, I've gotten the low VRAM message randomly as well. Apart from that, for now, the game runs very smoothly with your tips. I never heard of a game mode in Windows (I'm using W11 Pro) and despite of using a custom Windows 11 Pro version (scene release, activated with a legitimate key I bought for 3 euro), the game mode was set to ON. We'll see how it all goes in the next few weeks. Maybe I will get a 16GB graphics card anyway somewhere this or next year, but for now I'm still happy with my RTX2060. I'm not that demanding anymore.
Thanks man, it actually worked (partially) I did the changes and then after few minutes the game went apeshit again, but after that i turned off FidelityFX and FSR in addition to what the video shows and now i have been playing for several hours without any issues. :D So in case *you, dear comment reader still face the problem turn off FidelityFX and FSR* and try again. so now when the fps stopped to drop and i got through my 1st playthrough a new problem started instead!! the visuals suddenly started to look horrible no matter what i do(i think its the shadows n lighting)its also even worse in pixetation if i can use this as an explenation! I started up my 2nd playthrough a few hours after i finished game and now it looks wy worse(tried to reinstall it 3 times and even tried the hd textures n this didnt help so i updated the gpu drivers! I don't, actually since uploading this video I haven't had any issues with it. I wish I had included this in the video but I also disabled HD textures which is shit cause I'm big on cranking all my setting and making it as pretty as possible. The issue I think is that the HD textures are causing memory leaks.
This is a problem with Windows, but Ubisoft should have made better compatibility for fullscreen optimizations and game mode, especially since most players use Windows lol

I have done nearly everything to get this game to work. I have disabled game mode, turned full screen optimization off, turned SMT mode off, turned off all my overlays, run at lower settings. This game still runs like shit. I have a 3080, 32gb RAM, AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. What the fuck else is there to try?
Woah woosah, honestly I don't know the game is so poorly put together. I revisited the game somewhat recently and the issue returned for me too. I installed it and never thought about it again.
It's unfortunate for some it works for others it doesn't. Still crazy to me sooo many people have this issue. I meant there are 10k people that I know of based on the views of this video alone and still no official fix/patch from Ubisoft.

I am playing Far Cry 6 and it is doing well with some fps drops, but restarting it solves it, but there are parts that freeze for seconds and then come back, you know something. of that ? I ask why it is like that in some places it is not fully optimized and I saw that this happens even on ps5 and I am not the only one who has that problem, that error, the stuttering, are they from the game?
Hey thanks for checking out the video. I've been mentioning to people to disable HD textures in the video > quality settings. This makes a big difference in performance. I would also recommend getting some sort of performance monitor. This way you can in real time see what's going on with your hardware while playing. Also try to lock your frames and if you have freesync/Gsync turn vsync off in game and set it to vsync to "fast" in the driver control panel. You could also try.ro increase the shader cache in the driver settings and set low latency mode. Let me know if this helps.

Glad Im not the only with this shit issue, I have tried everything. I'm trying to get a refund but I have 20 hours put into the game since the issue didnt get too bad for a while but no it got worse and is unplayable random fps drop....if they dont refund me this garbage I may try to turn off game mode because I already have the other options enabled and no I never had HD textures

Yea this is the last Ubisoft game for me. Never again and not even just because of this game but because of their customer service and lack of care for the customer.
I have tried this and all other suggestions but still have the fps random drop after 5 to 10 mins of playing. But I have noticed if I press ctrl alt delete while in game to access task manager then performance so I can see what's going on, I go back to the game and the fps is fine again. Have emailed support as this is very strange. I have RTX 4090, intel i9 9900k overclocked, 32gb ddr4 and running on ssd. Update, just entered workbench with fps fine, then exited and fps was down again, so tried my method above and fps back to normal.
@@T-Rider92 no need to apologise, it was the same with red dead having random stutters, they never got round to fixing it. It's not a fun experience when having performance issues with the game, makes you think it's your hardware which clearly isn't the case for mine but it's actually their game which they should prioritise in finding the cause and fixing it. Will see how it goes with their support probably crap but will give it a go.

I will literally never give them another penny. They don't care, once they've got their money it's over with. There "support team" is just for show. They suck. I work in IT and it's very obvious they have never been trained or have any idea what they are doing. I really appreciate the view and checking out my channel btw.
this is in no way a fix, if you call, lowering the configuration a fix then you have a pretty good problem my friend. You could as well turno every single setting to minimum and maybe the game will run somehow smoothly on less powerful systems, yet it could not be stated that you "fixed" the game to run smoothly on less powerful hardware.

This issiue is about VRAM. If you have 4GB VRAM you must play with low texture filtering.

I sort of wonder (I'm one of the old(er) gamers who started gaming in the 1980s) why I have 27 fps and drops to 13fps on a Core i5-14600K/32gb DDR4 PC3200 XMP/RTX2060 OC machine.
I know that 6GB VRAM is on the lower end, but hey, I also play Satisfactory (Ultra settings on a 29 inch UltraWide), BF2042 (Maxed out settings), Cyberpunk 2077 (High settings, this game is way heavier than FC6). Lets see what you can tell us and help out with.
Unfortunately with everything I've "investigated" it seems like this game like most Ubisoft games is just poorly optimized. One of the things I noticed when this frame rate drop happens is that the GPU usage shoots to 100% and stays there until rebooting the game. Along with this I found right before the frame drop issue happens I get several IN GAME alerts about insufficient memory available. But there is no specific trigger. I can game for an hour or for 12 minutes seemingly at rand I'll get the alert and then shortly after the frames dump on me.
@@T-Rider92 Yep, I've gotten the low VRAM message randomly as well. Apart from that, for now, the game runs very smoothly with your tips.
I never heard of a game mode in Windows (I'm using W11 Pro) and despite of using a custom Windows 11 Pro version (scene release, activated with a legitimate key I bought for 3 euro), the game mode was set to ON. We'll see how it all goes in the next few weeks. Maybe I will get a 16GB graphics card anyway somewhere this or next year, but for now I'm still happy with my RTX2060. I'm not that demanding anymore.

Thanks man, it actually worked (partially) I did the changes and then after few minutes the game went apeshit again, but after that i turned off FidelityFX and FSR in addition to what the video shows and now i have been playing for several hours without any issues. :D So in case *you, dear comment reader still face the problem turn off FidelityFX and FSR* and try again. I had problem that my game didnt launch from ubisoft connect, and now these random fps drops, its just insane that 50$ game is like this...
so now when the fps stopped to drop and i got through my 1st playthrough a new problem started instead!!
the visuals suddenly started to look horrible no matter what i do(i think its the shadows n lighting)its also even worse in pixetation if i can use this as an explenation!
I started up my 2nd playthrough a few hours after i finished game and now it looks wy worse(tried to reinstall it 3 times and even tried the hd textures n this didnt help so i updated the gpu drivers!
So what can i do?tried other games just to be sure it wasnt my gpu but they look great..

I don't, actually since uploading this video I haven't had any issues with it. I wish I had included this in the video but I also disabled HD textures which is shit cause I'm big on cranking all my setting and making it as pretty as possible. The issue I think is that the HD textures are causing memory leaks.
This is a problem with Windows, but Ubisoft should have made better compatibility for fullscreen optimizations and game mode, especially since most players use Windows lol

i started the game and play very fine but after some few minutes it drops the fps, like it locks it self to 20-30fps and is really unplayable and so not fun, how to fix that?? it only happends in far cry 6 classic ubisoft game crap with tons of technical issues again...
I have done nearly everything to get this game to work. I have disabled game mode, turned full screen optimization off, turned SMT mode off, turned off all my overlays, run at lower settings. This game still runs like shit. I have a 3080, 32gb RAM, AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. What the fuck else is there to try?

It's unfortunate for some it works for others it doesn't. Still crazy to me sooo many people have this issue. I meant there are 10k people that I know of based on the views of this video alone and still no official fix/patch from Ubisoft.

I am playing Far Cry 6 and it is doing well with some fps drops, but restarting it solves it, but there are parts that freeze for seconds and then come back, you know something. of that ? Hey thanks for checking out the video. I've been mentioning to people to disable HD textures in the video > quality settings. This makes a big difference in performance. I would also recommend getting some sort of performance monitor. This way you can in real time see what's going on with your hardware while playing. Also try to lock your frames and if you have freesync/Gsync turn vsync off in game and set it to vsync to "fast" in the driver control panel. You could also try.ro increase the shader cache in the driver settings and set low latency mode. Let me know if this helps.
Also try setting the game to high priority. While the game is running open task manager > right click on the game > change priority to high.

Glad Im not the only with this shit issue, I have tried everything. I'm trying to get a refund but I have 20 hours put into the game since the issue didnt get too bad for a while but no it got worse and is unplayable random fps drop....if they dont refund me this garbage I may try to turn off game mode because I already have the other options enabled and no I never had HD textures

I have tried this and all other suggestions but still have the fps random drop after 5 to 10 mins of playing. But I have noticed if I press ctrl alt delete while in game to access task manager then performance so I can see what's going on, I go back to the game and the fps is fine again.
Have emailed support as this is very strange.
I have RTX 4090, intel i9 9900k overclocked, 32gb ddr4 and running on ssd.
Update, just entered workbench with fps fine, then exited and fps was down again, so tried my method above and fps back to normal.

@@T-Rider92 no need to apologise, it was the same with red dead having random stutters, they never got round to fixing it. It's not a fun experience when having performance issues with the game, makes you think it's your hardware which clearly isn't the case for mine but it's actually their game which they should prioritise in finding the cause and fixing it.
Will see how it goes with their support probably crap but will give it a go.

this is in no way a fix, if you call, lowering the configuration a fix then you have a pretty good problem my friend. You could as well turno every single setting to minimum and maybe the game will run somehow smoothly on less powerful systems, yet it could not be stated that you "fixed" the game to run smoothly on less powerful hardware.

What fixed it for me was Uninstalling the HD texture pack on PC.
