I just want to pause and take a moment to acknowledge the insanity of all the homeowners in 7D2D that ferry thousand-pound pallets of concrete and cobblestone to third-floor storage rooms and put them on the highest shelf.
I guess they knew the apocalypse was coming and they were getting ready to reinforce their houses.
@@matthewwheeler469 I feel like my first thought would be reinforcing the ground floor. Also I'd leave the pallet in the garage, my forklift doesn't go up stairs well.

Hi there Glock9, speaking of making sure they are dead, reminds me of that ZombieLand movie(w/Woody Harrelson)...."Columbus: Rule #2 The Double tap."....just to make sure, lol And the answer to your bird problem is a switch near you inside where you do most of your fighting, hooked up to a blade trap, up on a platform just below the ceiling/rooftop, open the roof with 4 spots and just below that opening have the bladetrap taking them out as they descend... or, using some bars create a upside-down cage for them to descend into from the roof making it easier for you to shoot them, cheers!

I see no issue with well done steak. If you want it well done I'ma still put love in it and make it the most delicious well done steak you ever had.
Korean bbq meat, is better well done. Hamburger meat is much safer, well done. Skirt/flank steak in strips, taste just as amazing, well done. :)
Gotta keep an open mind as a chef. Why treat a nice cut of steak "with respect" and refuse to cook it well done, but not respect the lesser cuts of another cow?
When you've been in a situation where you have to eat to SURVIVE, rather than enjoy the taste, you'll mind less.

@@Carpfoon Thank you Mr chef I love made to order food. Like fish it has to be fresh or it can not be eaten raw or undercooked. That is why people have a problem with fast food fish. But I want the meat done not carbon or caramelized. Like bacon that is crunchy or steak you can strip the meat fibers off the fat. But I like that you can cook the fat off or cook with it then remove it later. Or add fat to remove gaminess. Protein is great but not if you risk food poisoning to eat it.

When Glock uses his eye kandy for looting houses, I was literally screaming lol. He always said he wanted to loot loot bags after clearing horde with eye kandy but he never did.

You could probably put a few bars horizontal above the door(hatch) entrance so spider zombies cannot jump you and you can still toss the Molotov and shoot.
Of course you would put it in a way that makes you able to jump on top of the stairs you made.
Hey Glock, for the gd birds I like a shotgun turret over blade traps. Turrets target, blade traps don't. You can move a turret later on if need be. Also, I'd like my steak rare, please :)
This series aswell as maxed out have to be my favourite of all time.
i think that once you make your walls steel, you can put 2 steel hatches at the door and that will REALLY hold them back longer!
one thing you can do is make like a pillar in the center of the cabin and make someting like steps on the pillar and put turrets on those steps, make like a spiral of turrets
I feel like some dirty riffs from Adam Jones would fit right in during your horde montages

I think the birds are attacking the roof mostly because it's wood love the series can't wait to see what's next!!
I used spike traps on the roof and it worked good, then added an SMG turret and no issues now.
Hey glock with power attacks from bats you automatically refill your stamina bar no need for coffee if you strictly use power attacks. Also if you can get an SMG turret and place on your roof you will reduce the vulture problem

a shotgun turret on the roof is 100% the way to go to deal with birds i have a very similar small base setup and the turret works really well, they swoop down to attack the few blocks that they can get to me by destroying and the turret one shots them.

I played 7 Days To Die once, a while back, and enjoyed it quite a bit but found myself just never returning because... I wasn't very good at it! But having stumbled across your channel I've picked up a few tricks and dived back in! Played for five hours today and only died twice. Thanks for showing me how to love this game.

Like give yourself a 4x4 or a motorcicle and you cannot make your home or and store stuff there
Your only available inventory is yours and the 4x4
And make it horde every few nights.
Another idea is idk if possible but make tge horde nights totally random

I have found that putting iron spikes on the roof of my base stops the birds from bothering me. They just run into the spikes and die while I am fighting the zombies.
Love the vids, Glock; the amount of loot bags and ammo that you get is insane. Add to the fact that you are mostly meleeing these zombies is awesome. You should have a pretty big inventory of ammo at this point. Thanks!

Those steel knuckles you got are really nice with the brawler perk. They don’t use much stamina and they also can be very nice to have with this horde base setup.

1 -( 2:48 )buying water purifier mod is great idea because instead of taking 10 jars of clean water you can take 125 and drink from it you can take about 70 so when you lot and find more it does not take another slot from your inventory
2 - don't end the video in the night end the video in the beginning of the next day so we can continue where we left from even if its just mining you can make it faster in montages bucause i would love to see you playing even if its 1 sec i want it

Why do you not get a shotgun turret or a smg turret instead of the junk. You could also put one on the roof, so you dont have to deal with the birds.

I missed the good ol days of being able to loot zombies, myself.. So I use the loot zombies mod. It's awesome. There's also a lootbag mod that increases drop percentage of loot bags. Combining the two is quite OP but can be fun.

I used to do the same-just do it but life has damaged me so now I hit the other wall and overthink things. Find a middle-ground. Unless you are in a Space Shuttle-then you have to think the shit out of everything.
True, you don't want to be overthinking everything so much that you never end up making a decision. Sometimes you just have to say "fuck it" and jump in head first.

Yeah totally agree with missing looting the Z's. I also feel that the new loot system where you only find loot based on your level takes a lot away from the game. You know your never going to find that sick AK or snipey early on, just blunderbusses.. (Blunderbai if your Capp) Kinda takes away from the excitement of looting imo... I also miss the way guns used to be, where they took all 4 parts, stock, barrel etc to build.
Completely agree here aswell. The gun building aspect of the game was really cool to me. It was kinda like real life where you gotta find the best quality parts to keep upgrading. Oh well.
theres something methodical and satisfying about this series that keeps making you come back
Why don't you see if you can make some electrical fence and then some blayed traps and then use iron bars on most of it where they get shocked and you can use the shotgun.

13:01 - You are not crazy Glock. You are clearing spaces visually, only to have that late spawn. It explains where a lot of the zombies than show up out of thin air actually come from.
hey Glock, here's an idea, you do a series where you can only use weapons and gear bought by the traders, so if you find a gun you have to sell it, same thing for gear
that little cabin has become a nuclear bunker, at least the bottom portion of it.

It looked like birds had almost broken through that one concrete block! Also, it's crazy that you're level 45+ and still haven't seen radiated. Glad the base build is working, though!
Fun fact: the sound that some zombies make when they die is the exact same sound effect from the hollows in Dark souls 2. Look up a walkthrough, or better yet play it yourself, and listen closely when they kill some of the first enemies in the forest of fallen giants. Exact same sound effect.

Put iron bars for your roof and build hatches. Attach the hatches to the bars so they open down. You can keep them closed until you hear birds and open them, shoot the birds and then close the hatches again in case some spit acid.
Okay...survived the horde at GS349 - started out on a bridge segment, which ended up being torn down quickly (TONS of Rad cops and demos!) then it was all on foot - guzzling Mega-Crush, tossing the occasional molotov, and run-turn-fight-RUN! Ran through a couple of random POI's and watched them get ripped to shreds by a huge green wave! Fun stuff!
Glock9 playing 7dtd is like Vinny playing 7dtd but more badass and more depressing
Hey Glock I'd like to recommend a shotgun turret on the roof to take care of the vultures. Enjoying your series.
(another comment) I find it strange, how you pick up small amounts of led/nitrate, while looting. Basically, when we need lead or nitrate, it's in LARGE amounts. I see no point in losing inventory space for another resource, while we can gather about 2-3k, of previously said material, in one mining sweep. Anyway, as always, your videos are badass. Thanks, man.

A few suggestions, if you don't mind:
1) Put a robotic sledge outside of your door. Pointed towards you. It should be able to do some extra damage before you move back to your stair-case position. It would deactivate once the robotic turret is closer to you.
2) Instead of continuing to repair those concrete blocks that you're shooting with your shotgun, just replace them with bars next time they get low. Bars will keep the vultures out and your stray shot will pass right through.
3) The vultures on your roof: Build them a 'chimney' to get down to you. Don't put any blocks in the way, but fill the chimney with wood or iron spikes. The vultures will kill themselves on the spikes instead of spending the night beating on your walls/roof.
