An enjoyable watch. I was impressed with the US and their physicality in defence throughout the match and a superb try at the end. Scotland just couldn't get a few of their passes to stick in the first half with some great build up play but ran away with it towards the end of the match. Very good performances from all the Scotland players and noticed a great improvement in their footwork - perhaps something they have been working on? These lads need to playing more for their clubs to keep their development going. Well done to both very much improved teams.
Grand showing by the Scots : well done. Excellent commentary too. Clear as a bell. 16:54
Rugby is such a crazy sport, they dont stop for injuries on the field, they just dont stop
Well done Scotland ! You will be back at the u20 World Championship next year !
Congratulations! For Japan it was unfortunate that they were in the Scotland pool as they were the second best team and would have beaten the US... so we have 14 from this year's squad of 35 playing in the Championship level next year, and although it's probably fair to say that the Championship teams will similarly have lost quite a few no longer qualifying for the age group, having watched all of their matches too, France, England, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa all looked very strong and would probably have beaten us- that being said I think we would have done well against the likes of Georgia, Fiji, Italy, and Spain, any one of which we need to do better than in pool play plus semis to stay up next year- Argentina, Australia, and Wales were sort of mid-table
I disagree with the South Africa take, they were massively underwhelming compared to how they were expected to perform.
@@valurogers99 ok, but my comment essentially ranked them as a part of the top 5 in this year's Championship- a strong win over Fiji, a very strong but ultimately losing performance against England (the overall winners), a bad game vs Argentina against whom they performed better the second time around, and then a good game vs Wales... maybe a fairer ranking would have them 6 behind Argentina, and despite the way the semis were ultimately scheduled I still have them higher than Australia and Wales then the rest
Done lads 🏴
So this isn't the u20 world cup then as England just won that this is another world final how many do they have on at the same time
The 'Trophy' is the 2nd tier competition. It consists of a team that was relegated from last year's top-tier competition and 7 teams that qualify from regional competitions around the world. Winner moves up to play in next year's Championship.
So - the rebuilding programme has produced results - the SRU belatedly got its act together. We're now back where we should be. Hopefully by the next world championship we'll be a mid table team or better.
Match sans appel : les USA ne sont pas au niveau.
can anyone understand the commentator?
Maybe get the wax out of your ears. His elocution is perfect.
But his accent is quite strong. If you’re not Scottish you might struggle
Bollocks!
