Joey and skull, you should always take the move with higher base power over a move with a small secondary effect chance. (Ex: dragon pulse is better than dragon breath). You have to remember that there is only a small chance for the effect to occur. (Usually 10%, 20% or 30%) But you will always do more damage with higher power. Only consider lower power if the effect is guaranteed (heal, priority, stat change, or status) Hope this helps. Pokemon Name: CJ

I still think an full on encounter gauntlet after a reset would be a cool idea, if you have to reset again: Re-randomize the game and then actually fly back and go through all encounters up to the start of your current island checkpoint and re-populate the box that way. EDIT: That would also make the entire is it dups or not question alot easier. EDIT2: Hopefully this Mega Latias has more staying power :‘)
