I've recently purchased MV7, and haven't been able to find the right EQ settings, the EQ style shared in this video really made my dialogue better, great video thanks
I just built a new PC and forgot that all my goxlr settings would vanish. I used this video the first time and now I'm using it again. This gives you the best settings for the 2 devices. Thank you again Jordan you are the best!
I've been putting off buying a GoXLR for a while now but finally made the purchase. This video helped me a ton! Thank you for the great instructions and reasoning behind the settings you recommended!
great help! Really appreciate the clear and helpful instructions. At first it was quite overwhelming all the configuration options for my GoXLR and the MV7x, but not with your video. This was really able to make a difference to my vocal quality with my new GoXLR. Well done, and thanks for the great video mate!
i perfer your setting over all the other youtubers , i tried all of them and none of them made my sm7b sound better than your setting thank you so much
Nice, glad to hear it! I thing some people prioritize that boomy/AM radio/announcer voice over clarity. Clarity and transparency should be the goal, in my opinion.
@@kettnercreative i know it sound bad but i need help and i cant not find it anywhere on internet , i bought a se electronics dynamite and i attached it to the mic , but in goxlr, mic only works when i choose condenser (+48V) any idea ?
@@kiomad Yes. That makes sense. Condenser (+48v) will power the Dynamite. Without being in Condenser mode, the Dynamite won't be powered and the signal will be dead. Also, IMO, you don't need the Dynamite with the GoXLR.
Would you also showcase MV7x? I believe it has a lower impedance than MV7 (around 250 vs 320 in MV7) and this results in a better xlr performance on the X variant. What would your recommendation be?
This was great. I always feel like I have to be speaking right into the mic. Is there no way to take into account distance from the mic? Or does this cover that too?
Hello, I am trying to fine tune my goxlr with my mv7 shure but I have an issue where I have like a cracked, electronique or buzz background sound. Do you maybe know where it can comes. I used my mv7 on usb-c about 1 year and buyed now an goxlr (second hand) . do maybe some of you have a tip?
Love your vids, just got the MV7 and waiting for the GoXLR mini, sometimes I think you can read my mind and upload just the perfect stuff I needed 😂 subscribed btw, great contents man! PS: to anyone who has the MV7, you may want a Shure RK345 pop filter asap, it costed me around €20 but it is much better than the default one, you can get closer to the mic without triggering the plosives (the stock filter is quite bad when you get close)
Aha! Nice. We have a video with the mini coming out soon. Yes... for a purpose built podcasting mic, the plosives are actually pretty bad - there are 3-4 pretty bad ones in this video ^^ even when the mic is off axis etc.
I've been using the USB function of the Shure MV7 but I'm quite a heavy breather and it's made recording clips a lot of work in editing, as well as making live streaming nearly impossible. It doesn't help that I'm soft spoken, so messing with the gain or noise suppression on the MV7's app has meant I often get cut off while talking! I've been thinking of getting the XLR going to give me more control over the settings - can you advise what setting is most important for cutting out breathing noises for us mouth breathers?
Idk anything about this stuff but I use this Mic as USB and I use Reaper Plugins. I’m I’m adding bands to my EQ To match this would it be necessary to add the bands that you didn’t adjust and leave them at 0? Or only add the bands that you actually adjusted. Thanks in advance!
My MV7 needs 60db Plus to even get to the good range on Mic setup and thats being pretty close and talking normally, Every setting I copy from other users I can always hear my mouse on my desk and nose exhales
I just got the mv7x and goxlr mini and I have the same issue. 62db just to get some decent sound (also my keyboard and mouse can be picked up also). Did you manage to figure out how to get it down lower without a cloud lifter?
Hi, I have the MV7 and the Beyerdynamic DT990 pro (250 ohm) and thinking of buying the GoXLR for gaming and streaming. Should I also buy the CLOUDLIFTER CL-1 also and maybe a preamp for the headset?

hello can i hook up my dj controller onto Line in and external speaker onto Line out?is it possible?
