Watching Nate's analysis of 2012, his POV on how 2016 will shake out, and the mild optimism they both shared about the future in 2020 is both fascinating and depressing.
Wow, this interview takes on a whole other dimension when viewed in the light of the 2016 election. Nobody asking if there will ever be another surprise in an election anymore.

I have heard a lot of interviews where every fifth words are 'you know'.
Nate Silver does 'right'.
I really tried watching this but hearing Nate Silver say "right" for the 1000th time in 15 minutes nearly gave me an aneurysm and I had to stop.

BRING THIS SEGMENT BACK
It's mind-blowing to me that I fell in love with Conan the very first night of his new talk show in the early 90s. I had just graduated from high school. And now he has become one of the most well-spoken and gifted interviewers of all time in my opinion you truly can tell how educated he is
chill out all you folks complaining about "right." its a nice way in conversation to assert something without forcing it as an absolute fact, but as an agreeable opinion
Less of Gary he really says it a lot though. i think it's a nervous thing. maybe he walks a delicate line between being a young guy discoursing with knowledgeable and more experienced professionals, and actually knowing his stuff and maintaining credibility.
He's using it more as a verbal pause.

he's really kind'v not though. you can see conan, even, wince a couple times. it's not a fatal sort'v thing and it is nerves but it's kind'v distracting.
Yeah he came off as a know-it-all. I don't think it was a coincidence that the interview only lasted 50 minutes. Conan probably just got bored and called it.
You know what else is distracting? Putting 'v at the end of words. That's not a thing.
Now in 2021, it was pretty mind-blowing what happened with all the different swing States in 2020

This is the best part of the teamcoco channel in my opinion. I think Conan has interview chops that really can't be displayed on his normal show.

Not only does this show hearken back to the golden days of TV interviews...but Jack White himself hearkens back to the golden days of music and "rock stars."
Jack is truly eccentric, insanely creative, but also massively knowledgeable about the music history that he's become a part of.
Jack is a true historian of the history, idioms, and memes of music itself.
And...so is Conan. And...so am I.
So, for me to hear the two of them go back and forth is a huge delight.
I loved this. I love seeing the smart side of Conan, cause he really is an incredibly smart guy but I also love seeing him do long form interviews. They covered a wide range of stuff and really there was some great thinking points being made. It actually made me wanna read Nate Silver's book too and I dislike both math and nonfiction.
This series is really excellent!
Really looking forward to seeing who your future guests will be, and how it progresses.

I've really loved these. Conan's got a good handle on tempering his silliness just enough into the conversation that it's fun to listen to, but still very educational. I feel like I get a lot out of these.
Conan needs to get this show on PBS asap.

I am old enough to remember when talk shows on TV had real TALK on them, (i.e., Jack Paar, Dick Cavett)...thank you so much for bringing back one form of this...I accidently found you while searching for 'Jack White' (that's right, old enough to remember good TV and young enough to love Jack White, his music and his interviews) and stumbled onto this show. I have subscribed and have enjoyed all the episodes, so far. Keep up the great work.

Cricket Corleone I am joking waman are not hoes(they are biologically speaking), I am a nice guy therefore I respect wamen. Alright on a series note the men to female ratio in higher studies are relatively low, so statistically fewer women are interested in this kind of talk. (The same thing applies on fashion podcasts where there are more women guests than male)

i liked the interview, there is no flaw in Nate's logic. The world would be a better place if people would adhere to the facts and data that's real instead of adjusting the results to their own opinion.
