I just had a Wendy Carlos flashback. LOL. Nicely done. That's a very nice 66-unit dotcom system! I have dreams of a nice 5U. While its not as flexible/diverse as Eurorack, 5U has a rich analog sound that is just unmatched in any other format.
Your Eurorack system is certainly more expensive than all this (or it would be if you buy it new)..... 5U is big physically but the modules are mostly simple single-function modules (therefore they are cheaper than the average Eurorack module)..... Eurorack allows you to build a functionally complex (and very expensive) system in a small amount of space.... but you could probably make beautiful classical music with one..... I just think the popular module makers for Eurorack are focusing on the "noise" and "random" stuff because it's a larger market that anybody can get into.... does not need to be a musician or play an instrument ..... just patch away and have fun 😁🤣
Because of my love of electronics from childhood I was more interested in electronic musical instruments and quickly switched from piano to organ and from box guitar to electric guitar..... as for the sound, because of my love of physics (my favorite subject at school) I would imagine the waveforms (and the mathematics that produced them).... I approach music from a very analytical mind even though i have a natural artistic streak in my personality (my aunt is a famous artist and my father was an architect and photographer)
This piece is grat played on anything. Synthesizers give new feeling to an old track so it feels new. This particular synthesizer sounds a bit like accordion, so it keeps you grounded on familiarity of the sound.

Wow a giant bumblebee band.buzzzzzz
What do you like about synthesized sound? Do you like it more than traditional instruments? How do you compare the two to each other?

Electronic instruments have possibilities of creating very diverse timbres and sounds, especially synthesizers.
