Today, I want to go over my general thoughts on how beta is going as well as go over my top 3 bug fixes I hope are remedied before launch.

I'm all for making grouping important but farmers needing a party of 6 to take them out was always so illogical.

@@randelclawson7695 you ever heard the term "farm strong"? farmers have incredible strength from tossing around hay bales and wrestling steers, so I'm not surprised they need a full group
Played EQ2 with my bro and best friend from 2012 to 2014 mainly. We played on Kaladim and Varsoon a bit, but this server is going to be a fresh start with a (finally) classic feel for all of us! Thank you for helping to get the server ready for launch!

♥ Coming back for Origins but would love to stay full time in EQ2 if they make this first server a permanent server where they dump later Origin TLE characters on. (fingers crossed) ❤

Heyas Bear. Ive been streaming on the beta and been pretty happy with it so far. I have noticed many of the same things. Been very impressed by the number of people playing the Beta as well as the bug reports people are taking the time to submit. I did look through the "items for consideration" vendor...Im fine with 90% of it. I was kinda hoping they would limit the xp pots to 10% max...but can live with 15% if that is the final decision. I know some of the crafting stuff is still bugged like cooking component names etc. But overall very excited for this one.
I think the 15% may not be purchased directly but be part of a promotional pack and be limited - but that's just a rumor atm!
I don't see them being ready to go live with Origins next month. Tradeskills and harvesting are in bad shape, zones that aren't properly populated, etc., etc. I think July is more realistic.
There's definitely a lot to do still! I just want them to get the fundamentals correct!
I played quite a bit from launch until 2006. Then when it became f2p, I'll sometimes mess around on my old character a couple of times a year but so many awful changes kept me from resubbing and really getting into it full time again. However after seeing Origins, I feel like I'm finally going to resub whenever it releases(or maybe sooner to try out the EQ1 Teek server as well).
I think the best thing they are bringing back is the old stat system. I don't know when they changed equipment to be all "Primary Stat" crap but that is one of the worst changes I've seen any mmorpg do ever.
Is it true that they aren't doing xp debt/shard runs in this server? If it is then that's really dumb. Death is so meaningless in modern EQ2.
One modern thing that I'm glad they kept is the lack of the subclass quests. I didn't like them back then since they stripped the uniqueness of the class away at lower levels. And making alts felt like such a boring chore if it was the same archetype as your previous character.
It seems like there are quite a bit of bugs and I don't know if only a month of beta is enough. Even though I'm excited for it to release, I'm kind of worried it might be released too soon(tm).
I can tell you on beta server there is xp debt. Last night on stream I died once at I think level 10...it was about 5% debt....so took like 2-3 kills to get rid of.
correction I meant .05% not 5% hehe
Great insight. They do have xp debt! Yeah I am worried about bugs as well but I think if they keep it up they can hopefully fix all the fundamental and core issues.
Actually looking forward to this one. I hope they will be hars on bot's and boxing. This server will encourage interaction and groups. I even think trading will be a bit more fun. Finaly i totally love that they are going back to all stats counting for something again.

I am playing it. I am 2004 to 2012 player and last 10 years i am just logging for a quick play. It feels like eq2 of old times. Happy krono is out on this server. Cancer...
