    To speed the workflow up, instead of target welding, I would bridge the two edgeloops and then delete the outer edgeloop (the one that originated from the plane)

      rK ringtone/music zone. In the Fullerton College TH-cam Channel, there’s a Playlist called, “DART 104 F Intro To Maya 3D” Follow those videos in order and they should teach you the basics of Maya. I hope this helps!

    To make one simple hole you made it way more complicated than it needs to be. You could have just taken the initial cylinder extruded the edges at the top or the bottom outward formed a square with those edges and then clicked on the other circular end and extrude edges down to extend the tube beneath the plane. Using two objects to make 1 object is a real waste of time. It's not a bad technique but it doesn't need to be that complicated. This is something you could do in literally six seconds instead of your method.
