Your piano cover really highlighted the strings part @1:07 -ish being an An Ending/Waterfall motif, I had trouble hearing it right even when I had just a funny feeling that those strings had that motif. Thank you so much! I'm really not that great when it comes to advice and tips. All I can really tell you is that what worked for me was just practice and practice. I remember practicing for like 3-4 hours a day back when I was really into it. When I arrange a piece I always try to replicate the feeling of the original...however, I also add some things or improvise certain parts. I never feel like I have to "follow rules" if you get what I'm saying. So...really just have fun. Keep the feelings of the original piece in mind and play around it.
