Travel guide for VIETNAM, Ho Chi Minh city | Day one | Activities and the hotel

In this video we are sharing with you our experience in Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam. See the details about the trip as well as information that might be helpful for your travel down below!
Hotel: Muong Thanh Luxury Sai Gon, average 500-600rmb including breakfast.
The hotel was clean and the breakfast was nice. Overall we had a good experience there. It was convenient to go to most of the places from the hotel but we used taxi only.

Taxi apps: Grab
BE (a yellow application, cheaper than grab), for both of these you need a phone number to register. We bought in taobao. You can also buy in the airport but it's more expensive.

Jade Emperor Pagoda: free of charge

Ben Thanh Market: 10 mins from Jade Emperor Pagoda with taxi.

Saigon Center: 10 min walk from the market
Address: 92-94 Đ. Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa, Bến Nghé, Quận 1, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh 700000, Vietnam
Independence Palace: 40.000 Dong per person
Address: Ben Thanh, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 10 min walk from Saigon center. Try to get there before 15:30.
Bui Vien Walking street

Why wasn't he able to use the e-visa?

Actually we were also confused. We were able to do the visa online, and it allowed him to apply but at the customs the man told us cannot pass, need to go and apply for visa on arrival (or need to go to the embassy and do a proper visa before coming). In this case I think it's weird to let people do visa online. Need to mention that need to apply in the embassy instead of surprising like this.
