Great podcast!! I am fortunate enough to have spoken to all of you guys a few times and your guidance and suggestions have been extremely helpful.
Bretts conditioning is amazing. I struggled with libido on my last cut, but I believe it’s because my fats were about 30g or less per day. I since upped them to 50g and I’m seeing a big difference. I really plan this time to finally break through under 10 percent body fat. Seeing how you all look is very inspiring to keep going. As long as I make sure my Saturday refeed meal doesn’t turn into a 3000 calorie surplus (like it has last time) I think I can finally do this.
Steve, I would love you to do a podcast on how to manage relationships and family things while dieting hard. For example, my wife gets frustrated when I’m in bed by 8:30-9pm at night in order to train in the morning for my schedule. Sorry to get personal, but I imagine a lot of bodybuilders struggle with the work life balance and I think this would be valuable to hear how they do it successfully without ending up alienating those they love. I mean, I don’t even have children, so I can’t imagine how people do it who have snacks and junk food in the cabinets for their kids!! I consider myself lucky that I can have around only healthy foods. Sorry for the dissertation, but thanks again all!!

That's an excellent idea and I'll forward it, we can definitely cover it during an improvement season episode :)
Damn 30g of fats is incredibly low indeed, I got to around 20/25g but just the last weeks of prep and I was weighing 57kgs^^
      Thanks for watching and sharing!

An excellent episode specially cliffs take on reducing steps as I found my last cut I got really addictive to trying to hit and extremely high step count just to eat more but the anxiety and poor recovery it caused made the process very miserable

Yeah I think most days on prep I'd take a bit less food and a bit less steps! Thanks for watching!

Great point. I’m a professional bird photographer so I walk about 1.5 miles down the beach a few days per week on my day off or before I work get to my spot to photograph action shots of birds. So I create an award with my steps. I think if you find a reason to walk as your cardio, or take the dog somewhere, tie in some sort of dopamine or reward system then your stress will go down while still keeping activity high. I am also on a cut and getting really shredded from diet, training and the only cardio I do is walking and it works good! Just gotta have that reason to walk and it’s not stressful

Worst part of prep for me is being perpetually COLD! 🥶

I feel you so much on this one! Being constantly cold and lethargic was for me way worse than the low calories, and I was on very low calories haha

How do you deal with strength decreasing during the end stages of prep? When I start getting very lean my strength levels dip and it always messes with my head. Curious on what is a “normal” amount of strength loss.
