Hi Everyone, We hope you enjoyed our video! Which small camper with a Murphy Bed did you like best? Do you prefer a travel trailer, motorhome or 5th wheel? Please say hello by leaving a comment below and sharing your opinion about these RV floor plans.
I do love the Geo Pros BUT I have to hand it to the Jayco Jay Feather in this collection. It’s a bit longer and heavier but the livability of it is really fabulous for its size. Thank you for another great video!
The Jayco Jay Feather is the one for me, but with all the horror stories I hear about all the defects & EVERYTHING going wrong with the new models AND the manufactures NOT making good and buying back the lemons, I'll try my luck with an older used model.
We also recommend getting an inspection wether you buy new or used. But if you buy used there is a chance that some of the bugs would be worked out. Thanks for watching! Mike
Hi Mike and Susan! I like all 3 but I like the Jayco Jay Feather. Because it’s spacious and I love the theater seats with the lagoon tables. And love the counter top. Thank you Mike and Susan! Have a great week and weekend.
I think it always comes down to a combination of features. Theater seating is great (no need to close the bed) with the side to side bathroom. It's tough to not vote for the Jayco....
Forest River has fixed their Murphy beds so the mattress doesn’t stick out so badly. The JayCo has a nice layout, that slide helps make it seem much bigger! All showers seem small though. Good video, thanks!
The Jayco Jay Feather wins (in my humble opinion). 1st - It has my required (deal breaker) 2 axiles. 2nd - True Half-ton towable 3rd - Awesome Features
Mike makes a good point in the comments. If i can afford to buy an RV, I'm definitely paying for an independent inspection. Maybe Mike and Susan could do a video on inspections. 😊
Maybe we could make a video about why inspections are so important and we can interview an RV Inspector - lord knows we know quite a few RV inspectors. Thanks for the suggestion! Mike
I'm sorry but the manufacturers don't have a target audience of senior citizens who are overweight. So they don't make RVs for that demographic specifically. We have made a couple videos about the best RVs for taller folks and thats about as close as we can get I think. Thanks for watching and for the suggestion. Mike
Flagstaff has had the Murphy bed locking mechanism in place for several years. Our 21DS has the same. It is recommended to pull the release both when letting the bed down and when lifting up. We stand at the foot of the bed in the middle and can pull the release, no problem.
The last one is my favorite!! They coud have givien you more room on that toilet and that shower curtain wont last long..., but the rest was amazing!! And the sink needs a spryer, they went all out on that kitchen , so it wouldn't have cost that much more for a sprayer!!
I don't think we will be covering that option because we find that very few RVs are ADA compliant anyway. I would check Winnebago and Newmar for their line of handicap accessible rigs. Here are the links. www.newmarcorp.com/wheelchair-accessible/ www.winnebago.com/models/motorhomes/accessibility-enhanced Hope this helps you out! Mike
The fold in the Murphy Bed is an issue if the fold is from the middle to the the top third of the mattress. If the fold is at the top third you could reorient the mattress so the fold is at the bottom third but then you have to move the mattress each time you open and close your Murphy bed. I think its best to find Murphy Beds with no fold. Good observation! Mike
I have taken a couple of hard looks at the rock staff trailers but the deal killer is the frameless windows that only open a inch for air flow . Hay Mike and Susan have you guys done a review of any of the Grand design HIT trailers?
We have the frameless windows in our class A that only open about 3" and we find that we have to use our Maxx Air Fan so create air movement through the rig. It does work but its a little noisy. We haven't seen any of the HIT trailers yet but we are on the lookout for them. Stay tuned!
Hi Donnette, Good catch! In the Jayco they show it with theater seating but for an additional $30 you can upgrade to the tri fold sofa (in place of the theater seats) which will allow for up to 4 people to sleep in this trailer. Thanks! Mike
My grail is a trailer with Theater seating with tv directly across, North/South bed, double axel, less than 500 lb hitch weight, 4,000 lbs unloaded max weight. This would be towable for a 4Runner. Until then, my Sonic 200 vml is the closest I've ever found.
That's a great combo for a trailer but its really tough to find a dual axle trailer under 4,000 lbs. We haven't seen the 200 VML but we will keep an eye for one! Thanks for your comment! Mike
Can you clarify? You want me to say what? If they have a water heater or if they have on demand hot water? We don't cover those details in our reviews because we do three reviews in each video and if we cover every feature then the videos would be too long. I have to ask this but will the type of water heater really matter that much anyway? Either way you get hot water. Thanks for watching! Mike
There are plenty of videos about starlink and alternatives. We made one too. You can check it out here but be aware that T-mobile Home is no longer a good option. We can't edit our videos once we post them on TH-cam, (and neither can anyone else) so that part of our video no longer applies. Thanks and here's the link. th-cam.com/video/GkiDp7FQmVI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0HBstAyKuTTyLBP9
@@DianaKirby3 You are very welcome and thanks for the kind words! We try our best to answer comments as quick as we can. Hope you have a great week! Mike
Jayco wins.. 1. The layout is great with all that floor space 2. Unlike Grand Design, this jayco has Azdel inside and outside. 3. Unlike Grand Design again, Jayco uses plywood instead of cheaper OSB 4. 2 year bumper to bumper warranty and 3 on the structure.. Best in the industry. (And yes, I know GD isn't in this video but the 17MKE is the true competitor)
Great analysis! And we have reviewed the 17 MKE a couple of times so we didn't include it in this video. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! Mike
Hmmm...that's really weird. We just watched the video and it looks like TH-cam has a glitch! We will screen shot it and send it to their customer service. Thanks for the heads up! Mike

Great Trailers! Its great to see the smaller ones! Thank you!
Glad you liked the line up in this weeks video!
Mike
All three of those are awesome !! However, the Jayco by far has it all to a T !! Thanks y'all, safe travels !!
Jayco does a great job with their floor plans and from the comments it looks like most folks like it the best!
Thanks for commenting!

Each one had some pretty good features
That's very true!

We'd like to see some rv's for senior citizens who are large and overweight.
I'm sorry but the manufacturers don't have a target audience of senior citizens who are overweight. So they don't make RVs for that demographic specifically. We have made a couple videos about the best RVs for taller folks and thats about as close as we can get I think.

Thanks for that - I'm new at all of them when I open them...lol!
I love the Jayco layout, that countertop for days! But I don’t know if I want a Murphy bed right at the entry door.
I don't blame you but there is only so much space in these campers.
Thanks for watching and commenting!

I like the Geo
That's a good one! Why did you like it the best?
Thanks for watching!

@@RVBlogger The layout and no slide outs. The size and price are good too. It just seems right to me!

You can easily add a new kitchen faucet with a sprayer that you can buy at Home Depot. I've replaced ours in our Class C and it was a piece of cake.
i am in a wheelchair and wish that you would measure the front door width and walk way width. do you think it is possible to start doing that?

They should make a fold down table and a place to store seating for it where the booth seating always is 🤔
I have been thinking the same thing but I haven't figured out how to do that. Great idea though!
Jayco wins again! They always get it right.
Haha! Jayco does a great job with their floor plans!
I thought the last one sleeps up to 4 people. But you didn’t show how that works. ❤

The 1st one gives a person my height, 5'4" a challenge as to putting the murphy bed up, reaching over the downed sofa....
Yeah - that would be a challenge for sure. Good catch!
