What a refreshing message. I'm a daughter of Italian immigrants and I love Joe Koy's comedy because it's so universal. What I wasn't expecting was a mother who clearly got things so right, she could admit what most parents never get over. Some might say, yeah that's only because he became successful, but my own professional journey and training naturally looks a little deeper. This is a mother who instilled the work ethic of needing stability and reliability as a foundation, but never lost the twinkle in her eye about truly living life and engaging the village you are in even if you no longer find yourself in the one you were born in. Her message for the Filipino community was beautiful because it was genuine and I felt like she wasn't just seeking support for her people in a divisive way, but rather speaking to the collective and honoring her sector of it and speaking on their behalf as all peoples of the earth deserve to be included as a community within the collective. When she spoke, my heart opened as a child of immigrants, as woman, as a person who has both offered support and needed it of others. Joe Koy's comedy is an asset to our global society because his mother didn't raise a kid, she nurtured and cared for and cultivated a conscientious global citizen that we frankly need more of. Jo can put himself up there with the real greatest of comedy, those who made a platform for humanity and an opportunity to identify and heal the wounds we all get a chance to have. Awesome! Awesome awesome awesome!

I have met so many Filipinos through my work and been to the Philippines 3 times and now moved here. He is right on with his jokes and they say the best comedy is real life events.
Just from seeing this I love her. And I love his love of her. Every child of an immigrant parent can relate. And those who aren't can laugh along with us and take the chance to bond.
ang galeng mo Jokoy, listening to your Mom just amazing. Hindi mo talaga puedeng maliitin ang kung sino man. Passion and dedication plays a big part in the success. If you love what your doing, go for it.
I miss my Mom!! That's how Filipino moms are - cariño brutal (as what they say) to their kids. 😆😍❣️
His mother is absolutely adorable!!!! Just precious ✨️ 💖 💜 😍 💕 ❤️!!!!!!!!!
Teary eyed when I heard her speak about Jokoy. She reminds not only me but every Filipino to cherish your mom, time is so short to be with someone that loves you more than they can ever say.
Omg. Love her so much. Showing our Filipino moms being so tough but so smart.
Jo Koy’s mom is awesome! I was raised around Filipinos and they are good people all around.
Jo's mom.....you lady are an absolute legend! You raised an incredible son who always helps me smile when eva I feel low,so thank you ❤
What an amazing, strong, supportive common-sense Mom! Mrs. Harrison, you're the greatest!
Omg she is just ADORABLE!! Love how she confirms everything & talks so lovingly about her kids as they grew up. Love Jo Koy he always has me on stitches 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wanted to hug Jo’s mom because she’s reminds me of my mom and grandma! 🙏
Sweet, humble and always wants the best for her kids
Omg.. Jo’s mom is the cutest. And she made me tear up, Caus she reminds me of my mom, and my mom passed away in 2019🥹
Omg she is the cutest and so proud of her son. ❤️❤️❤️
Jo Koy is one of the funniest men that ever decided to try comedy. I could listen to this man all day, his shows are never long enough! And his Mom? What a treasure she is!
I'm not Filipino but when Jokoy made that joke about preparing rice, it hit me hard.
His mom is an amazing mom. Because she did it all by herself raising her three children. I can relate as a child of a mother that was abandoned by her husband and worked 2 jobs, so rent and food was put on the table today she has 3 professionals daughters because her unrelenting love covered us all. So Jo your mom is an angel
Filipinos mom are the epitome of Asian and Latina moms combined
So true!
Perfect description 😂
well said
Philippines has been colonized by Spain for 333 years.
well. . Filipinos are the most hispanic asian ever that is why. . .
My best friend was named Leticia Lim . I loved her so much. She taught me how to make panzit and Lumpia. The philipino people are so loving and kind and very very funny. Watch a few talking in their native tongue....they always laugh. ❤❤❤❤
I love their relationship. ❤️
samee ♡
I love Filipino people!!! Most loving people ever 💕
That Flex actually scared me 😱 she's the real deal.
What a beautiful woman! She almost made me cry! I’m a mom too so I understand a mother’s heart. She started to tear up. I get it Momma. We only want the best for our kids. We don’t know what we are doing in the beginning but we do our best and that’s all we Can do! They have to understand that. It doesn’t always turn out right but we give it our best shot. Sending lots of love your way. You truly touched me!❤❤❤❤
Mums are awesome. Don't forget to reach out to your mothers and check on her. Even if you are in a fight with her do keep her in your prayers
They are the best! but yes pls, check them once in a while ♡
Jo Koy your mum is amazing I love her. She is feisty & sweet & I love that 😂😂💜
Everyone has to overcome adversity. It is how you handle it that makes you who you are. These people are sweet. Work hard and love others... life is what you make it!
I love her support in her son! Even when she doubted, she still showed up for him and put in the leg work to help him with his first show! 🥰
Huge Josie fan.😁 I love her.😍 She is what all parents should be..😇
Degrees don't mean anything. Education comes from anything. It comes from within and if you're great at something you don't need a degree to tell you that.
Jo Koy is hilarious and his mom is so sweet!
I can see now his greatness comes from his mom. ❤️ from 🇲🇾
He became successful in his chosen field because he love what he's doing and he delivers what really appeals to the audience, and they are loving every bit of it. Best of luck, kabayan.
Even though you didn’t support him at first in doing comedy I know it’s because you love and worry about him. Joe incorporating you into his comedy shows what an excellent mother you are and how much he loves you. Congratulations Jo Koy and his mom. I’m know you must be super proud of him
Jo's mom is awesome! Jo made things happen for his mom and community. You can tell how proud she is of Jo too. Salute, bro! You are making it happen, mayne!
Jokoy’s mom after Netflix,
“Who said you weren’t punny Josep? It wasn’t me. All your aunties are nurses, we need a comejan in da pamily.”

A relatable joke is everything, shout out to all the Filipino moms all over the world
His mom is soo damn awesome 😂. Straight gangster. 😂 she reminds me of MY MOM. She didnt take any crap.😅
Man I thought jo was exaggerating. His mom is as real as his act shows lol. And the accent is almost spot on lol
it will be more accurate when she is angry. 😅
I love the Vicks Vapor rub joke. It's the running joke amongst Latinos too. I love that we have this in common.❤️🥰😍 It's the panacea!
There are Filipinos who curse in a bad way talaga. But there are those who don't mean it to be rude. My friend's family(from Bulacan), they use curse words a lot but it's not bastos and you'll know it from the tone. It makes me laugh every time though, and I came from a family who don't use curse words😆
My husband and I are just discussing about his mother ❤I found this video and sent my husband right away 😊Great mother ❤Great son 😂make dream come true
OMG! I'm laughing so hard my stomach hurts! And the laughter warmed my heart and soul! Thank you for your video. Enjoy your weekend! All Mama wants the best for their kids.
