True summer is just less saturated than winter. I was analyzed as a true summer until just recently, then I went to two professionals (. Sci Art, and HOC) and did a in person session, surprisingly both said I was bright winter. I’m getting more compliments as a bright winter. It doesn’t hurt to get more opinions, and in person is very valuable.
I wouldn't say "rock", maybe pass off black, sooner than warm brown. A true winter in the 12 season system is an summer that shares the subseasons cool, light, and soft equally - they're truly summer. In the 16 season, True Summer is an individual sub category and may lean slightly to the cool summer or other two sub summer categories. She would share with all the sub seasons in her season first, then she would share the true cool of winter. So charcoal, navy, mixed grey are all going to look best on her. Some winter colors may look nice, maybe black, maybe not black. I find softer materials like velvet , velour and such maintain the polish that makes for a more elegant black ,and aren't as hard as shiny, satin,or as flat and cheap as mat, paint sealer, tar black.
@ingridpear1882 I think you may have the 12-season and 16-season typing systems flipped. I use the 12-season system in which True Summer = Cool Summer. While I agree with your argument, I think it’s great to be encouraging about wearing colors outside of our main seasons and so I would say anyone can rock any color that they love!
@@alyssarudman That's nice - being encouraging 🤗. I'm pretty sure I didn't flip the 12 vs 16 season. The 16 season would have 4 extra sub categories. True Cool, True Warm,True Soft, True Light. Did it not come out that way?
@@ingridpear1882 that’s right, in the 16 season system the true seasons are additional to the cool/warm seasons and in the 12 season system the true seasons are the same as the cool/warm seasons (the terms are interchangeable, e.g. cool summer = true summer).
I’ve typed myself as a soft dramatic and I felt similar. I finally understand my body and why I will never look like other women. It was liberating. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
I felt the same! Knowing I'm Natural helped me accept the fact I have wide shoulders and not everything will fit me the same as it fits others. But wide shoulders have their advantages too! Seeing other FNs rocking great outfits was super cathartic.
I’ a soft summer and at first I kinda struggled with that, cause as a personality I’m quite bright and and colourful. My personality isn’t muted like the colours that look best on me. But I really notice that the soft palette makes me look the most sophisticated and my features and personality can freely shine trough without having to compete with a bright coloured top (for example). I too still wear colours that maybe aren’t the best. I love pink and even though it can easily be found in the summer palette, i happen to love the more icy tones of pink. Those are my statement colours and at the end of the day, it’s not that serious. ☺️
Yeah, I thought from the first video I saw that you're a soft natural. Though I don't think that light sweater suits you better than black, but as you said it could also just be the camera. I also fell into a rabbit hole with kibbe, body geometry, body matrix and so on. You get the feeling everyone develops their own system with their own rules and you start looking into it all to get a better understanding and at some point you just feel lost. At least that's what my journey so far has been. Furthermore I recently got my colour analysis and turned out to be a deep autumn instead of soft autumn or some kind of spring, which I thought. Even though I saw how good I looked in those dark colours, what would I wear in the summer? Not my pastels I guess T_T It's kind of hard sometimes to make your own decision how neatly you follow the rules and where you prefer personal style... Hope to see more nice outfits and maybe some brand recommendations for good quality SN clothes! :)
@@lja530 I have watched her old videos. She used to have brown hair. In this way she could actually be a cool summer. The dark hair in this vidéo is a typical hair colour for a winter. The problem is we don't know her natural hair colour.
Well, I’ m not an expert, but why do I feel that you may belong to a bright season? I think that if this top would be a bright white you would look phenomenal and your hair would look shiner! My humble thought! 💜
Hi Ashley, I think your analysis was wrong. I've been watching Ella Ray Style and I think the color analysis system is wrong. For example, I'm a cool winter with blue skin. How can cherry red look good on me? The system of going by your chroma, brightness and depth is accurate. You are very close to when she analyses Angelina Jolie, you can check it out. You have red root skin color and high contrast I'm pretty sure about that, that's why you shine in bright colors, red, raspberry, cyan, fiery orange, emerald, black and white. Hope this helps. Much love.
No!!!!! you are not True Summer! Soft Winter is your colour analysis some call it True Winter. Summer will drain you Get a second opinion you are a beautiful True Winter aka Soft Winter (caygill system) You need the colours summer is too light for you Not muted
Totally agree. Carol Brailey talks about the "smokiness" of Summers, which I don't see here. There is a brightness to her coloring for sure--look at those eyes!!

When you wear black, go for tops with a deeper cut or wear a silver chain, it makes a difference.
Since True Winter is your Sister Season, you can definitely rock black! It's in your second-best palette 🥰

So glad you're back! I so enjoyed hearing your thoughts on the analysis. Thank you so much for the kind words!

I'm a cool summer and icy pink is part of this palette. I'm so lucky ! You can wear it because you are still a summer.
@ yea i can, but it’s not the best on me.
I just received David Kibbe’s new book that was just released this week. . I fell down that rabbit hole but it has helped me tremendously.
I really enjoyed your videos and so glad to see you back ❤
Thank you for sharing this!❤

Me too. This light blue is not enough. I thought she was a cool winter. Maybe it's the camera.
I think, Your essence is very classic, so I would incorporate it in Your style.
You can do navy instead of black.
I would be so curious to see how Carol Brailey would type you. Alyssa Rudman gave me Soft Autumn and Carol said I was a True Spring.
I always thought your main characteristic was bright.

She does seem to have a lot of contrast between her hair, eyes and skin. I would have guessed some type of winter.

Ooo I was right!
Look at colour class- this 2 experts wprk with a 16 colour palette- it helps to judge by yourself.
