Bud, It’s been OVER 4 years since I have worked at this station. I’m ashamed to say it’s been close to the same amount of time since I have visited this station. LOVED this video. PLEASE complete the set with rest of the stations. Hope to make it up there before the videos are done. However as life goes, you do not always have the time. This video was wonderful and I’m proud to say that I remember working at this station even if it was “Station 2” at the time! Keep it up WPFD family!
You guys are like my department in my city, we are so understaffed. We run 2 engines, 1 rescue, and 1 ladder and a fly car. We have a spare engine which is the 5th due on structure fires.
Do you guys also have people come in when you get calls, like brush fires which you guys have a season for. They should put more people on during wildland season.
HandyGuy 2016 ok cool that station is 3 then I’ve always wanted to see what west plains mo fire department looks like might have to come down and see y’all I’m not that far from you
Not sure if you here’d about Anchorage Alaska getting hit with a earthquake today 7.0 and I just Recently moved to anchorage and I’m a firefighter for anchorage ?

Handy guy do you guys only have EMTfirefighters in your fire department or do you have medics as well ? cause my dept is all firefighters/medics ?
Our department does not require EMT certification. We have some EMT's, but it is mainly because they work for an ambulance service as a second job.
Whys the charger cord for the trucks pulled out so far
That is how they are mounted on the ceiling.
what truck is that sitting outside on the left, it looks like a freightliner?
and assuming on the right hand side the pick up with chevrons is a chief vehicle
Yes it is 4611, a 2011 Freightliner with a Rosenbauer Bed.
when did you guys get 4633 i see the info for it but no pictures on your website?
the new 4633, we have only had about a month.

Our city has a population of about 15,000 (daytime). We have 3 stations, 1 full-time at each station, 12 full-time total, and about 20 paid on call.
Missouri you ?
Yes
What about that bobcat
That is one of 3 UTV's that the department has. It is a regional asset that is part of the all hazards team for region G.
Look like school
