- Twenty One Pilots is such a good band! This song "Ride", was very happy sounding with a reggae vibe. However, it seemed to us that there was a struggle in the lyrics that was saying there is a lot of chaos in one's life and therefore, one should just "Ride" through life.
We may have butchered the actual meaning, but we are old guys...so we are Dad-like in our thinking.
The old record producer was such a good guest. I have got to have him back.

Great first interpretation! I see the struggle between light and dark in the video, the light is blinding, he asks for help, they get sunglasses to help cope with the blinding light. At the end of the video the lighting is neutral, balanced, neither light nor dark.
Joseph came up with the band's name while studying "All My Sons" by Arthur Miller; a play about a man who commits suicide after causing the death of twenty one pilots during World War II because he knowingly sent them faulty parts for the good of his business.

I know that you've already reacted to some songs of twenty one pilots. BUT there are so many more and not a single one is bad. Especially MIGRAINE, ODE TO SLEEP or TRESS (Live at Fox Theatre) will simply blow your mind, I PROMISE!
I never thought that I would and could love a band so much as I do with twenty one pilots... it's incredible how inspiring, deep but also hopeful their songs and lyrics are. They helped me A LOT over the years!

Twenty one pilots are absolutely incredible and they don't have a single bad song also Tyler Joseph the Singer suffers with depression anxiety self harm and suicidal thoughts so a lot of their music touches on mental health. He says Yeah I think about the end to much but it's fun to fantasize. Tyler Joseph the Singer rapper songwriter writes the lyrics Composes the music creates the beats plays piano keyboard synthesizer bass drums guitar accordion ukulele and other percussion instruments and also produces almost all their stuff. They're both Christians as well so am I. They constantly tell us fans to stay alive it's worth it I promise they're absolutely phenomenal artists. God bless looking forward to more ☺️☺️🙏🙏
Personally they have a good bunch of bad songs especially in the very early days but its nothing negative against them. Its what helped them grow and push further, we all gotta fail in order to succeed and they've done that

For a hot minute there was no band more relatable to our angst affected American teens. NF was also very effective in connecting this way. Interestingly enough both Twnty One Pilots and NF have some Christian worldview influence to their music though NF is more overt about it.. Nice Bible reference, btw.

If you like this version, you have to hear Tyler's "Storyteller" performance from Viacom! He reworks all of this songs, just him and instruments/electronics. Really showcases just how much artistry he truly contains.
