Thanks...am just about to upgrade to a smoked one for summer (here in Oz...) for my Lane Splitter - best vid I've seen so thanks...stay safe!
Great video! Just installed my gen 2 shield today. I used a little heat with a heat gun on the lowest setting for maybe 30 seconds...popped right off no problem. Thanks again! Subbed.
Awesomeness. I dont have a heat gun, but will invest in one for sure.
Appreciate the help bud!
Pain in the arse without instructions
Nice great video, just got my dark smoke visor! Much appreciated
Thankyou as I bought the helmet with a smoke shield as well and I'll be honest I was baffled, thought I had the wrong shield, cheers mate 👍
He was a treasure to the motorcycle community RIP
Quick question, if I just purchased the new lane splitter and mirrored visor, do I still have to use the new parts?
If the shield is Gen 2 you're all good
Did you get an answer from Biltwell, if you need a Gen 2 visor or if you can keep the gem 1 visor and just replacing the plates to Gen 2 plates?
yes I did and mentioned in another video. Gen 2 plates need the Gen 2 visor. Regardless the helmet is awesome
Once you swap out the original clear lens for a gen 2 lens, does it become interchangeable? Like if I bought the smoke and the yellow, is is easy to go back and forth or do you have to swap the hardware and/or choose just 1 to stick with? Thanks
yes but save the hardware unless you want to buy gen 2 other shields
...and worked a treat...thanks...👌☝
So frustrating that the biltwell instructions with my new gen 2 visor did explain that those two pieces of plastic aren’t permanently attached to the helmet like they look. Thanks for the video
My pleasure Stephen. Glad I was able to help!!!
Hello, im from Russia, and I buy this helmet (gen1) on ebey a week ago. After a few trips, the visor began to peel off from the inside, you have not had such a problem?
No I haven't, but I do know you can only use mild soap and water on the visor. Any solvent type cleaner will damage it.
I hope that helped, share and tell your friends to Subscribe!! Thank You in advance
Thats actually covered by Biltwell warranty. Let them know and they will send you a replacement
Hey man, you appeared on my Instagram feed part of the #shadetreearmy, subbed 🤙
Awesome and Welcome!!!
Hey mate nice video, just wondering if the visor stays up now while riding at most speeds?
With the Gen 2 visor? YES its perfect
My gen 1 shield has gave me nothing but problems the most annoying thing is the visor rattling from the wind drag.
How'd you fix it? I'm having the exact same problem
Is it noisy with cardo? When using intercom I mean because of open vents and does cardo pick commands with this helmet?
I tape the front vent to be honest for videos. but not Cardo
@@OlManRonin u mean u haven't used it with cardo ?
@@fahad6568 i use it alot with Cardo. just when I record i tape the vent in front.
Thank you! Just ordered the same lens. Hey what do you do with the front vents when it is cold?
Lol great question. Painters tape.
I used black electrical tape on my matte black lane splitter, you can hardly tell its there. I left one vent uncovered. Made a world of difference
This was exactly what I needed. Thanks!
You're welcome Jesse and thank you!!!
Thank you pops !
You got it!
Look like a cheesy, flimsy lid..
Then you would be wrong
looks are deceiving. Its the best helmet I've ever owned
