I'm not sure I understand your question. But i'm assuming you are asking the difference between H1B Cap exempt and H1b cap visa. For H1B cap you need to go through a lottery process that is going on right now. This is required because there are only 85000 slots available. For H1B cap exempt you don't have to go through a lottery. Only specific employers are eligible to file H1B cap exempt for their employees. And if I can convince the interviewer to also apply for a visa for my mom? Is there any chance to get a visa for my mom? Only your wife and kids can come with you. Your parents can't. And they have to get H4 visa. It is a different visa
