Logic and Studio One user here. This is amazing !! Cubase has absolutely the best Midi stuff and fastest composing tools. Cubase's daw mixer is the best, I must say.
Why do most of these DAW videos on YT focus on EDM and pop? Why not show other genres? I see so many talented musicians (that are known in other video demonstrations who clearly can play), but when they get down to “showing” what the DAW can do.., it’s always EDM and pop music. Show what these DAW’s can really do.., plug in a guitar, do a live band recording.., hell do a film score using a proper orchestral VST. The EDM route is getting stale.
I think it's because they're trying to market Cubase towards the EDM crowd since I'm sure Cubase is already popular amongst classical composers, film scorers and those who deal with live band recording. Since the EDM folks are a huge demographic for beginner producers these days, I assume that's part of why they're doing a lot of these types of tutorials.
Because EDM and pop etc are mainly midi inputs and virtual instruments, whereas other genres which incorporate more musicianship involve recording audio inputs, which would be a different type of video. I guess 🤷♂️
I have never used Cubase and I am not well versed in using DAWs generally. But what a brilliant video for a newb like me! You make it look and sound so easy. May i ask if you have authored full courses (paid for or free)? That may swing a purchase decision for what is otherwise quite an expensive product.
I just want to use Cubase Pro 11 as an extension of my Tascam 24 interface mixer. Perform my song vocals while playing my archtop guitar. Then add my arrangements using Spitfire Audio BBC Symphony Albion One & Abbey Road sampling Libraries. This is how plan to use Cubase for my Vinyl & cd recordings. I wish to compose the music i hear inside and allow the music technology to assist my original compositions.
Great video , you clearly love your job fun to watch , i do have a question regarding registering my UR12 Steinberg, as its asking for my serial number i have tried putting n all ther numbers ie poduct#, service#sets from both the box and label on the product but all are invalid, im not sure how important it is to register the device ???

What is that popping sound on the Piano track (HALion Sonic SE Grammophone Piano)? I hear that same popping sound on some sounds of the Groove Agent preset "Ambush of Tigers." What is it and how do I get rid of it? Its not just my setup because I hear the same popping/static when you add the piano on this video.
Can I create music with instruments without having this piano, so only with the computer? If I necessary need this external piano, which one do you recommend?

1. Can you please add a feature for the live arranging with ease of patch changes for instruments during live performance? 2. Also Cubase Remote feature would have been great to easily switch the patches/arrangement sections as well during a live performance. The Show Page in Studio One 5.3 is a very appealing feature. A similar one in Cubase would be a great addition which enables live shows as well.

After that I deleted the fx bus, and now the tracks that I've assigned to it are not assigned to the Stereo Out. Those are the only tracks that don’t make noise on my project. Can someone tell me how to assign tracks back to the Stereo Out? I’m using Cubase 11 on Windows 10.

Cubase is freezing almost everytime I close a project now... its getting to the point where im getting ready to go back to Logic Pro... terrible clunky buggy software

Feel free to fill this Library with your own sounds and recordings. He demonstrates only the possibilities which these tools can offer - there are no fixed rules in music production.

That is the preset of Halion. The name of the preset is grammophone piano. An old grammophone record crackles
